Caught my first steelhead in that creek 25 years ago. Still my favorite creek. It's also the first creek my son caught his first steelhead 3 years ago on a fly rod.
Good fishing better sibling rivalry way to be a nice guy knowing you were going to hit that one after your brother fished that sweet seam. Then informing him you can catch fish loved it lol cant believe there isnt more water looked perfect. Thanks for the great vid again nice no skunking!!
I belt it felt good too ok get a few in the board !!! I can’t wait I’m headed that way April 1st and that creek you guys fishing is specifically one of the creeks I fish!!
great videos man! I love watching your videos! keep up the great work. I fished some Erie tribs a two days ago and it was very low and clear but managed to catch some great quality fish! NO SKUNKIN
Another nice day out there and it's definitely work to find fish but you keep getting on a few..... I went out Wednesday morning on an Erie trib and hooked into five sadly had some gopro issues so no video but it felt good to finally get on some fish
Started slow for you Bill, a few stockers but you redeemed yourself with 4 nice fish. Lots of mileage on those feet but better than staying home and doing chores. 😂
Excellent Bill! Beautiful fish and how fortunate to have the camera running on those Bobber Downs. It captures the excitement of the strike but is difficult to do with limited battery and turning the camera on and off. How far up (or down) from Lake Erie were you fishing. Good exercise indeed; creek wading is surely tiring. Have a wonderful week, Don
thanks Don 👍👍 we were close to the lake then headed up 3 miles above , probably put in 5 miles of hiking total that day wich equals about 20 miles walkin the sidewalk lol
Some stockers, put some miles on and got into 4 nice ones. That 2nd one gave you a 2nd chance 😁. You didn't find that elusive pot of chrome 🤣 but still a beautiful day out 👍
Hey bill what do you use when the water is slower and lower and there not really eating eggs? Me and my buddy hooked 10 the other day when the water was higher on eggs and a few in the past couple of days when the water was getting lower but I went yesterday water is really low and they weren’t eating eggs I only saw one fish in the pool me and my buddy hooked 10 in just wondering what you recommend I use
man i dont know , i downsize the sacks , use lighter leader, i try smaller jigs in black or olive but sometimes nothin works , today was a real grind for us
You guy's sure put some miles on that day, I should apply that strategy more often. Spend 10-15 minutes / spot, if no bites... move on ! 4 fish landed, that's not a bad day in my books !
at least you got a few.. every cool getting the bobber downs on camera nice job man
thanks Luke 👍👍
that hen had some spunk to her! she was ready to go! damn good day of fishing nice one Bill !
👍👍 Thanks man 👍👍 started slow but ended up being a fun day in the end

What do you use for a rod reel setup Bill? I personally am rocking a 13' 4"SST and a okuma sheffield centerpin
13' riversider and Sheffield reel
I’ve been doing good on the Erie tribs. 7 hookup days and a couple landed.

Whats your line setup on your centerpin
i use 10 lb purple blood run over a backing and 6lb blood run fluorocarbon leader with a 12 gram float
@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures should do a video of how you have your leader set up with the float and shot and what size hook and stuff

@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures , it sure did for you guys!
Chautauqua lake is thawed out, no crappies yet tho
wont be long now👍👍
Rivers are up fourteen feet here 😢
wow , that sucks
@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures yes it does but then again once it clears you know there will be fresh STEEL
our creeks were way high but no fresh run
Rule 1 is don't ask Rob what he's throwing
lol 👍👍
At the end of the video, we fished that area towards the end of the day and didn't get any
it was a tough day , water seemed to be getting dirtier as the day went on
@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures we started at a pa creek and did good then went to that creek and didn't do hot
i heard all along PA streams were getting way better runs of fish - wonder if the NY steelhead decided to run PA steams instead
No skunking
👍👍 thats the name of the game
