While you can’t create a route or segment from Strava’s heatmap directly, you can select the option to “use popular routes” in your route creation map which utilized Strava’s heatmap data to generate your routes between any two waypoints you indicate.
more like this if you can great for me mostly strapped for time , pieces like this enable me and others to keep up with tech stuff . ( no bimbling around with stuff when you just want to get on and get out ) .
@@jollygoodvelo you can't strava it not doing stand alone bluetooth or ant+ anymore like wahoo heart rate chest straps you have to use wahoo app then upload it to strava its a right pane,
That's not entirely true... If like me you're not a paid up member of Strava, then clicking on the heat maps link after logging in to your account will take you to a page suggesting that you get the safety pack. A bit annoying when you just want to take a quick peek. However, "Google" Strava heat maps instead and you can access the stuff Leonard has shown in this video without a hitch. No payment necessary.... As a matter of interest, when I have looked at the heat maps at my place of work, it was amazing to see that those who ran to work, entered our building at a different entrance to those that cycled. The two different "routes" are quite clear on the map. And I always do a little loop when I arrive on our car park, which is becoming apparent on the heat map now. :-)
nice homework and research Leonard....but....when is it too much information? geez....get on your bike and ride like the wind....in US there is a trail guide listing length, quality of surface , grade and all necessary info including reviews by riders. simple website that makes planning simple...how to get there, where to park and what to expect....I use it all of the time.
Hi Leonard Just bought a second hand Trek Madone 4.9 off of Ebay. My first road bike can't wait to pick it up on friday

Your own personal heat map is also available. Yearly or all time. I personally use the Velo viewer snap in.

Interesting. Thanks!
bit of a different thing what do you think of strava stopping to use bluetooth and ANT+ to connect to strava ?
Not heard that but how is it going to connect?

INTERESTING! Edit: maybe it's worth adding that it only comes with a summit membership (as far as i can tell!).
Ah, that’s the bit I forgot.

Stop eating vegan.
You'll fart less.

Perfectly acceptable.

That Hayling ferry must be the most expensive ferry £/mile in the world?
I’ve heard this about many short stretches of water. The Hayling ferry is not cheap. I remember when it was £1. Nowadays I think it’s closer to £5.
Its cheap compared to the Isle of Wight Ferries!
Andrew Lord Last time I went to the Isle of Wight as a foot passenger with my bike it was only £18. I thought that was quite reasonable.
@@Countrystock not when measured £/mile.
@@Countrystock Agreed Complete rip off. £100 to go to the mainland with car this Sunday 8th Dec!
