I HIGHLY suggest watching the Keala Settle rehearsal (not really a rehearsal it was to get the green light for the movie) for This is Me. I absolutely sob every time I watch it. There's a magic that happens once in a blue moon when you're in an ensemble, when it isn't just technically perfect, the entire room feels the emotion during the performance. Like every breath you let out to sing is hot with feeling, but its in unison and the walls feel like they're going to burst. That was that performance.
Hugh Jackman doing From Now On the same day is equally great! It wasn’t a rehearsal , thiugh, it was the performance for the money men to get the film green-lit. So, even more important than just a rehearsal. Hugh wasn’t supposed to sing that day-he had just had a surgery on his nose with lots of stitches inside. But, he couldn’t help himself with From Now On, and his singing did end up with him bleeding.
@kathyastrom1315 I already corrected it to explain more. Yes agree, his was definitely good too. But in my experience in ensembles that was a completely different feeling.

Something ironic about the movie when it came out was that critics were bashing it for not being historically accurate and claiming it was a horrible movie for that reason, yet like 90% of audiences loved it, which is exactly what happened in the film
Most of the criticism I saw wasn't about it being historically inaccurate, it was more about the movie not having much plot substance and basically being a choreographed album with some plot thrown in. They also criticized it for trying to tell too many stories at once but not giving any of them the room to be fully realized, and for being a shallow feel-good spectacle. But I still think the point still stands. Critics didn't like it because it seemed flashy and fake and wasn't "art", but the people loved it because even if it was a little bit of a shallow feel-good spectacle, those feelings are still real. Just like the Circus in the movie.

Right? He exhibited an enslaved woman and got around anti slavery laws by “renting” her. Then when she died he performed a public autopsy on her. That was just one example of heinous things he did. But this film is a great work of fiction.
By today's standards, sure. But he was highly progressive for the day. @@Strider91thank you! People love to only see through their own time period’s lenses. Those people were treated very poorly, but would’ve been treated as less than dirt out in society. There’s a reason side shows performers always joined the circus, it gave them family, it gave them the only place in the world where they’ve ever been “accepted” and are often times the only place where they could earn a living. And a number of Barnum’s performers have stated how they owe their lives to him, thats’s bc they understood the alternative out in world back then. 1) I absolutely adore the fact that Oak saw this in theaters multiple times. 2) This soundtrack is amazing, and there was a period of time where it was all I listened to. 3) For another musical, it would be fun if you guys checked out the 2004 version of The Phantom of the Opera with Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum. It was sort of panned by critics at the time, but it's an enjoyable watch with great music.
Honestly all three of them surprise the hell out of me. In these times upon stereotype and looks I’m like I don’t really need to watch these guys react to stuff complaining about things being woke or whatever and overly negative. But Ive checked out a few reactions on some “questionable” films and really appreciate their understanding , and empathy , -don’t judge a book by its cover
This movie has a special place in my heart. My nonverbal Autistic son has adored this movie ever since he was 1.5 years old. He'll vocalize sounds trying to sing and stim and sway in front of the TV, then he wants me to sing to him. He's 5 now and will still play the soundtrack on repeat as he stims. ❤
I was rather amused when this came out and people were saying how historically inaccurate it was. One, it's a musical and you never goes for those for realism and two, you would expect a film about P.T. Barnum to be concerned about an entertaining show instead of reality. Hugh Jackman put it best when he said it's the kind of biopic Barnum would make about himself.
I never thought of it like that. I mean, I know not to expect musicals to ever be realistic, but even before I ever watched this movie, I knew P.T Barnum wasn’t the greatest person, but didn’t know how until a couple years ago. To think of the movie as an entertaining show that Barnum would want, and not what people want is a great way to approach the story as well as its choreography and music. 😊
I mean, it's more so how it is inaccurate. Like, what is with the smear campaign against Jenny Lind? If it were a biopic about how Barnum would tell his own story that should have been made clearer. There are interesting ways they could do that. If they have no interest in actually exploring the history behind Barnum, maybe they shouldn't have made the movie about him.
And it honestly wasn't that inaccurate. It was definitely exaggerated, and modernized for current morals. But I'd highly recommend a deep dive into PT Barnum. Especially the role he played in creating the National Parks service and NY power grid. . .
It was originally said that this was never meant to be made into a broadway run. With the success they recently announced a broadway show coming next year, I believe.
I would like to also recommend Netflix’s Tick Tick Boom, starring Andrew Garfield. It was Lin-Manuel Miranda’s directorial debut and filmed during Covid. It is the story about the great Jonathan Larson, who would eventually write Rent, as he juggles his passion with the realities of life and relationships.
@@danski2260 I still don’t understand how Andrew Garfield learned how to sing and not just sing, but unlock a secret power. Just absolutely amazing. “Why” live!!!
The bartender in The Other Side is the MVP!!!! The choreography and music in this movie are spectacular! I saw this one twice in the theater. The second time was a sing-along, and nobody but me, my husband, and our son was singing. And they were looking at US like WE were the problem. It's a sing-along, buddy! What did you expect?! 🤷♀️
WATCH THE KEALA SETTLE REHEARSAL of “This is me”!!!!! The “executives” were on the fence with greenlighting the movie until they watched that rehearsal video of THIS IS ME!!!!! ❤️
That isn't a video of a "rehearsal." It's a video of part of the workshop the proposed cast did in front of the executives to get them to greenlight the movie. They did the entire show, not just the one song, and the execs were there live for it. If you're going to talk about something, it helps to know what you're actually talking about.
I was driving with my dad the other day, playing this soundtrack, and my dad commented on how "it's everything you ever want" sounds unhealthy. I explained to him that it explains the progression of the movie. in the beginning, Barnum believes that the circus it everything he wants, and later he realizes that what he really wants and needs is his family, so he passes the torch to Carlyle, who is in love with the circus (anne) and it really is everything he wants and needs.
You guys HAVE to watch Singin’ in the Rain!!! It is so great-not just the music and dancing, but it is hilarious, to boot. It has one of the best Bitchy Blondes ever seen on screen, too, and she has the best lines.
The song that Zac and Zendaya sing, rewrite the stars, I sobbed to because it felt like it was speaking straight to me. My partner prior to coming out as ftm was afraid that we would be judged and we were going to hell for who we were and who we loved. For four years I went through steps with my kiddo(step) I was first babysitter, then godmom, and I've finally managed to get step mom in the last 2 years. Emotionally this song tore my heart out but also healed me in ways I didn't know. So when me and my now husband got married I found a cello version of this song and walked down the aisle to this song. And every time I hear it I think of that moment.
What I love is that you guys are a perfect example of "Never judge a book by its cover"! To look at you three, one wouldn't think that you would be so into a movie like this... and it's a great thing to see your joy and excitement in watching it! Might I suggest...if you have never seen it...reacting to Moulin Rouge starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor!
YES ! My favorite movie. I love The Greatest Showman, but for me Moulin Rouge surpasses it in every way. The story, the acting, the music, the cinematography, the costumes and most of it, the emotions.
I love it. Early on in this channel there was a lot of pre-judgement of things. Time, experience, parenthood and an awesome community supporting that growth have helped them to become this open and thoughtful. It's wonderful to see and is why they're some of my favorite reactors.
The soundtrack is phenomenal and also I can't believe Hugh Jackman, Zendaya and Zac Efron were all in this one. 3 of my favorite, extraordinary actors in one film is a gem and I loved your guys reaction. I watched this movie when I was in my musical era back when I binged Pitch Perfect, Glee and High School Musical.
I strongly believe that the only reason this has mixed reviews from critics was them going into it expecting a historically accurate biopic. The songs, the choreography, the costumes, all of it is great
I always like to mention, just to put it in historical context within the frame of another movie…the day the circus caught fire, the riots…those were the same riot/fight in Gangs of New York. In Gangs…you’ll see a shot of an escaped elephant…that was Barnum’s.
What I love best about your channel is your variety. You have introduced me to many amazing movies and now musicals that I would have never watched on my own, you're showing me their are gems in every genre. Also thumbs up for the editors, great job especially with musicals!
The fact that Rebecca told the director that the song she sang should be sang by the guide artist is a testament to her professionalism as well ... she knew that she couldn't sing the song as well
"Don't you dare Zac, that's Tom Holland's girl" JAJAJAJAJAJA I love it! I have seen some comments mentioning that you should watch the Rehearsal of "this is me".... And I agree! You should. But also, you should watch the Rehearsal of "from now on". I love both of them!
The song "The Other Side" with the bartender is actually choreographed by the bartender "Daniel Cloud Campos"! A very talented dancer and super creative with his videos.
I caught this film just days after its release, and as young teens stood up to sing along with their already favorite song, I knew we had something special here. I also watched it three times, bought the soundtrack in vinyl, blasted it in the house and went to see it again. What an experience to leave what some said was a fumble of a movie that had you leaving so pumped up and smiling.
In 2017, I went to the show to see ‘Justice League’. I got there in time for the trailers, as I usually do, and witnessed one particular trailer that hooked me and wouldn’t let go: ‘The Greatest Showman’. Usually not one for musicals, this was the exception.
I love this movie so much! I found the lyrics to 'This is Me', 'From Now On' and 'Rewrite the Stars' in a pretty font and had them blown up onto big posters. They're a feature wall in my living room along with a small promotional poster my sister got for me. I'll blast this soundtrack at least once a week.
Omg yesssss! This was actually the first hugh jackman movie i’ve watched and i just fell in love, specially in terms of musical movies as a whole. This was my introduction to it all.
this movie is one of my fav movie musicals, ive watched it more than a dozen times. but i have to say the ending scene where he sings that eveyrthing he would ever want and need is right in front of him, being with a family whom you love and cherish and loves you back, always makes me teary eyed.
“This is me” got this movie made. You guys have to see the behind the scenes video of “this is me” and “home again.” Hugh Jackman couldn’t sing during the rehearsals because of skin cancer treatment on his nose. BUT Jackman is a true stage performer and did what he always does. The behind the scenes clips shows how amazing this whole cast is
My husband (late) had the pleasure of singing with Kela Settle at the Royal Variety Performance in 2021 at the Royal Albert Hall. She was so lovely. So pleased he got to experience that before he passed away. 💔❤️
I also lost count of how many times I saw this movie in theaters. It was such a unique experience. Completely incredible. I brought everyone who told me they hadn't seen it yet just to have an excuse to watch it again.
Our university always holds several going away ceremonies for graduates. One of those ceremonies is a party that has a theme, and for our year, 2018, they chose The Greatest Showman. Just imagine over 8,700 graduates in a huge open field singing to 'This is Me' with accompanying 'dancing' fireworks. We were balling our eyes out at the bittersweetness of it all, but we kept singing. This is just one of several reasons why this movie is very special to me. You're all awesome as always guys, and thanks for watching this and reminding me of one of my best memories.
If you would like to watch another musical starring Hugh Jackman as the lead, I highly highly highly recommend Les Misérables. It's one of the most legendary musicals of all time, based on an even more legendary 19th century novel by the author of Hunchback of Notre Dame and has recieved every kind of adaptation known to man. Fans of the original stage musical have some qualms with the 2012 film but it's still overall a masterpiece and unfortunately there is no professional recording of the stage musical(outside of library archives that I hope to one day visit). If you enjoy the film version I would definitely recommend checking out one of the staged concerts afterwards(the 10th anniversary one has the best performances and seems to have loosest copyright but it also cuts out more stuff than some of the other staged concerts, including multiple scenes with my favorite character but I am salty about how she's portrayed in the movie as well lol, her personality feels too different in the film. the 2019 concert doesn't cut as much of her scenes but the copyright might be more difficult? Idk). I wouldn't recommend the concerts if you haven't seen the film though because the plot in the concerts is harder to follow(though I will again point to the 2019 one as the easiest to follow from what I've seen, even if nothing can compare to the performances in the 10 anniversary one)
I went along on Dec 26th when it came out, after a bad year, & was tapping my feet immediately - saw it 6 times, took my mum, took my Gran, another few friends. A few months later I crashed my car & the fire service asked me if I wanted anything before they took it away & I asked for my ‘Greatest Showman CD’ from the player. The movie was lots of fun & now my 3 year old loves the music!
This Is Me became one of my life songs. Made fun of all my life for one thing or another, I finally stopped trying to hide or change and accepted who I was. When I first watched this movie and that part came on, I was ugly crying something fierce! Great reaction, guys!!
This is the earliest I’ve ever been! I have to say: I found your channel maybe 3 months ago maybe less? This spring I went through a breakup of an almost 10 year relationship. I stumbled across your the fault in our stars reaction late one night when I couldn’t sleep. I’d already seen the movie when it first hit theaters years ago and I read the book before that in high school & was a huge John Green fan. So I already knew the plot and ending of the movie but figured I’d watch. That video, the first one I saw of you guys, kept me around. I didn’t realize that I was missing the joy and company of watching tv with someone else & hearing commentary and banter, after now basically doing everything alone. Anyway I’ve since gone back and watched a decent amount of your videos, even watching some things that I never in a million years would choose to watch on my own but because it was on your channel I chose to watch it. Your channel has become a part of my daily routine, sometimes even rewatching old ones just for the familiarity. As far as demographics go I’m 29 from the south / the east coast & have three older brothers that span in age from 32-41 but life has scattered us around the map. One brother that I was the closest with growing up, was and is really into wrestling & we share a love for horror movies, particularly the Halloween franchise (except the most recent batch)- we’re not as close anymore for no particular reason but hearing some references you guys make or random callbacks makes me feel close to him. I have no idea how your channel got recommended to me that random lonely night, but I’m so happy it did.
Thank you for sharing your story but more importantly thank you for sharing your time with us. This channel has become kind of an unexpected family and we absolutely love it! -Oak
I saw this movie twice in theaters. Once with my mom and once with friends, who i convinced to go see it and they instantly fell in love. We still jam out to the soundtrack when driving. And i was involved in my school theater when this came out so we would all get together and watch this once it was out on digital.
I loved this movie from the opening. My grandpa and I decided to see a movie when he came to visit. I was like: hey Hugh Jackman might as well go see this. And it was AWESOME!
Les Miserables. And I agree, it is a fantastic movie. Hugh Jackman is great, Anne Hathaway earned her Oscar, and Russell Crowe isn't as terrible as the critics say.
When I saw this a few years ago I was amazed. I was watching Wolverine belt out the notes like it was nothing. What a talented actor Hugh Jackman is. I see an Oscar down the road. Amazing! 🤩
Disney announced at their D23 parks convention three weeks ago that The Greatest Showman will be soon on Broadway. Outside of the announcement made, they have released no date of when the premiere will be happening, just said coming soon.
To quote one of the songs from the movie, this IS the greatest show! As far as musicals go, it's right up there with the best from all time, and an absolute joy to watch. Great reaction, thanks guys!
I wish I had seen this movie for the first time on the big screen and with an audience! I was blown away and teary-eyed when I first watched it at home in 2021 so I can only imagine what the theatre experience would have been like. Forgive me but I didn't know who these 3 guys were before seeing this reaction video. I really enjoyed watching and appreciated Answer's applause and tears during the film. Fantastic and heartfelt comments at the end by all three! You guys definitely have a new fan!
I was lucky enough to be in the audience on the opening night of Hugh Jackman's 2019 world tour. We had no idea that Keala Settle would be there. Hearing her sing This is Me live was absolutely incredible. She's unbelievably talented.
This one was on my wishlist for you guys to react to, so yay! Next on my wishlist is Chicago or Hairspray. I love them both! Hairspray has Zac Efron, Michelle Pfeiffer, John Travolta, Christopher Walken, Queen Latifah, Amanda Bynes, and Brittany Snow. Probably others that I am forgetting, too. Chicago has Renee Zelweger, Catherine Zeta Jone, Queen Larifah, and Richard Gere, and more.
Oak is such a gem of a human being. They all are, truly, but I just want to take a moment to especially shout him out on this one. I am absolutely moved by his thoughtfulness and compassion. Yes, he’s a middle-aged white man, but this disabled biracial daughter of an immigrant doesn’t find his words to be hollow at all. They mean a lot to me and I’m sure many others as well ❤️❤️
One of my favorite reactions, literally started crying when Appleton mentioned prom night and them playing ‘this is me’ I hope theaters rerelease this someday so l’ll get to experience it
I absolutely love your reactions! Thank you guys for reacting for such different movie genres and delivering us laughs, sometimes tears and great insights☺️ And with every reaction I love Oak more - the vulnerability and realness is so precious!
I always love your reactions, I would LOVE to see you guys react to Hairspray and Les Misérables as they are phenomenal as well. Hairspray is a very uplifting musical as well and was amazing, whereas Les Mis is a tragic musical with very heartfelt songs and stories. I love watching you guys and was so happy you did this one! Keep up the great work ❤
Oh my god I am so hyped for this one!! This is such a huge comfort movie for me, I saw it in theaters with my dad and his girlfriend on Christmas eve and had most of the songs memorized within like a day. So good! When you guys said you were kinda wanting to dip into musicals I was really hoping this one would be on the list somewhere!! Also I am so with Oak singing along to the entire movie 😂😂 The part where Zendaya is shown in "This Is Me" and she looks right at Zac saying "I'm not scared, to be seen. I make no apologies, this is me." has gotta be my favorite part. She put so much passion and intent and meaning into that short part, and Zac's reaction was perfect. Also a couple of fun facts, the little girl who plays the oldest daughter is a dancer in real life! Also the bartender in the "The Other Side" sequence is actually the choreographer for that number! That's why everything was so precise and perfected! They rehearsed it a ton! And in "Rewrite the Stars," Zac and Zendaya did a lot of their own stunts, and you can find clips online of them falling and struggling through the rehearsals, but man was that hard work wroth it because that whole sequence is just amazing!! Edit: Mason Quinn your speech at the end calling out the 25 year olds who aren't where they wanna be and telling us to relax and take it easy hit so close to home, thank you so much, from a 25 year old who has been spiraling the past few weeks literally because I'm not where I wanna be in life 😂😂😂 Okay sorry for such a long comment bye!
One of my favorite comfort movies and musicals!!! You're right, it's impossible to be in a bad mood after watching it ^_^ I know the words to every song lol. I watch this whenever I need to feel good ♥
I love this movie. In the theatre where I watched it, all of the crowd gave a standing ovation, for the movie! All through the credits. It was incredible.
It's amazing and I loved the movie! I was actually stunned by Hugh's singing voice when I first heard him sing. Damn, had no idea he had such wicked pipes!
I went to see it in the theater with my best friend and couldn’t stop crying with This is me. I thought the movie had such a beautiful message and it was just very emotional. I am someone who doesn’t have self esteem issues, I know who I am and accept and love myself with all my flaws. But the message to be proud of who you are..to celebrate yourself..is just so beautiful Now having my 2 kids since seeing the movie, it’s all I could ever want for them. To be loved and accepted for their strengths but to know who they are and not let anyone tell them otherwise.
I saw this in theatres, one of my favourites for sure. It's so nice to hear about you talk about "A Night to Shine", we have the same thing in New Brunswick and my little brother has gone for two years and loves it everytime
Not usually a musicals fan, but this was a wonderful movie, with wonderful reactions from wonderful Badd Medicine & wonderful words said in your review comments by all of you 😁💚♥️

You guys are all terrific and I love watching this channel, but The Oak is one very special man.❤
I went to see this on opening day with my grandpa…we’re movie buddies, we go see almost everything together in theaters if one of us has something they want to see…and the second we got out, I went and bought tickets for myself for the next two shows. He didn’t want to sit there for another few hours, so we just went to the library and hung out for awhile before he dropped me off at the theater again and he went home.

Yes!!! I second this! Incredible cast!
The Phantom of the opera is a masterpiece
The Oak never ceases to impress me with how well rounded of an individual he is.
Honestly all three of them surprise the hell out of me. In these times upon stereotype and looks I’m like I don’t really need to watch these guys react to stuff complaining about things being woke or whatever and overly negative. But Ive checked out a few reactions on some “questionable” films and really appreciate their understanding , and empathy ,
-don’t judge a book by its cover
I love the choreography for The Other Side! The bartender is played by the choreographer, btw.
He was in Step Up 3! I clocked him instantly
That’s awesome
Especially the role he played in creating the National Parks service and NY power grid. . .
@@Strider91 inaccurate? Wasn’t the situation between him and the singer reversed?
@@RabbitsFunWorld Yeah totally, irl Barnum harassed her and she decided to end the tour.
It was originally said that this was never meant to be made into a broadway run. With the success they recently announced a broadway show coming next year, I believe.
I know here in the UK I have seen an advert to buy the ticket. It's too expensive for me, but it's coming out this year on stage.
@@drkpop6173 definitely interested in going to see it! That said, I’m not super super in enthused. I’m sure Disney+ will add it!
Oh yes they definitely need to react to that. Also would love to see them react to Dear Evan Hanson
@@danski2260 I still don’t understand how Andrew Garfield learned how to sing and not just sing, but unlock a secret power. Just absolutely amazing. “Why” live!!!
@@Kmbri Andrew Garfield was god tier in that movie. I watch it once a week. It is my serenity movie.
And also rent. If they haven’t watched that one.
I went to see this in the Cinema, finished the showing, walked out of the screening and immediately bought a ticket to see it again right after.
I have four ticket stubs from this movie, I feel you lol
The bartender in The Other Side is the MVP!!!! The choreography and music in this movie are spectacular!
I saw this one twice in the theater. The second time was a sing-along, and nobody but me, my husband, and our son was singing. And they were looking at US like WE were the problem. It's a sing-along, buddy! What did you expect?! 🤷♀️
It would have been amazing if they had done that here where I live.
The bartender WAS the choreographer for that number.
WATCH THE KEALA SETTLE REHEARSAL of “This is me”!!!!! The “executives” were on the fence with greenlighting the movie until they watched that rehearsal video of THIS IS ME!!!!! ❤️
ruclips.net/video/i-e8ZJBzw8Y/видео.htmlsi=ARC3fYe1QnW7itt6 This one?
That isn't a video of a "rehearsal." It's a video of part of the workshop the proposed cast did in front of the executives to get them to greenlight the movie. They did the entire show, not just the one song, and the execs were there live for it. If you're going to talk about something, it helps to know what you're actually talking about.
@@emjai2122 unless it's a workshop in front of execs, finding out if they want to pay. ;)
Yay! Today is my birthday and I was SO hoping this would drop. The best present- I love this movie. The soundtrack is incredible!😊
Happy birthday
Happy birthday 🎉
Happy birthday!!!
Happy Birthday 🙏🏼✨
happy birthday!
I'm like Oak. I saw this 3 times in the theatre. Great songs, great performances.
I never tire of it.
Me too and almost went in a fourth time. I hardly every watch movies twice in the theatre.
You guys HAVE to watch Singin’ in the Rain!!! It is so great-not just the music and dancing, but it is hilarious, to boot. It has one of the best Bitchy Blondes ever seen on screen, too, and she has the best lines.
"I cayn't stay'nd 'im!" 😜
Singin' in the rain is a masterpiece
I love that Oak both watched this in theatres 3 times AND he has opinions about Barnum. What a mensch.
The songs, the choreography, the costumes, all of it is great
Mason quinn needs to see Hugh Jackman in Les Miserables. Cast sang live while filming and Hugh always made me cry
This movie has consistently been my favorite since it came out in 2017. I got so excited to see this post!!!
The fact that Rebecca told the director that the song she sang should be sang by the guide artist is a testament to her professionalism as well ... she knew that she couldn't sing the song as well
"Don't you dare Zac, that's Tom Holland's girl" JAJAJAJAJAJA
I love it!
Your videos always make my days better, it’s like watching movies with friends. Hi, from Mexico 🇲🇽
So glad to see you guys have finally seen this one. It’s one of my favorites. Can’t wait to watch!
"Chicago" is a really entertaining musical with an interesting take on society and fame. It deservedly won a bunch of Oscars.
Well said Oak 👏👏 wonderful message and stories. Your vulnerability in each video is lovely to experience
I often watch it to cheer myself up.
literally saw this movie six times in theaters it’s just such a JOYFUL film. can’t get enough of it
Good messages my dudes to all those folks that needed to hear! Oak u make me cry every time I see u cry! Yall are truly the best!!❤💞❤️
I was OBSESSED with the soundtrack back in the day, literally OBSESSED
Wait, have y’all not seen Zac Efron in Hairspray?! Oh PLEASE watch it!!! Love that musical! ❤❤❤
Yay. This movie is awesome. Thanks for the reaction!
Omg yesssss! This was actually the first hugh jackman movie i’ve watched and i just fell in love, specially in terms of musical movies as a whole. This was my introduction to it all.
Love this movie! Hugh Jackman also sings in the movie Les Misérables❤
this movie is one of my fav movie musicals, ive watched it more than a dozen times. but i have to say the ending scene where he sings that eveyrthing he would ever want and need is right in front of him, being with a family whom you love and cherish and loves you back, always makes me teary eyed.
This was so lovely to watch along ❤️one of my favorites
Oak really tugging at the heartstrings at the end
Most of my experience with Hugh is Wolverine. I was watching like I don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile this much ever.
“This is me” got this movie made. You guys have to see the behind the scenes video of “this is me” and “home again.”
Hugh Jackman couldn’t sing during the rehearsals because of skin cancer treatment on his nose. BUT Jackman is a true stage performer and did what he always does. The behind the scenes clips shows how amazing this whole cast is
UGH! This is such a great movie. So glad you're watching it
love the pfp
love seeing swifties randomly about the place!
YESSUHHHHHHHH 🔥🔥🔥 favorite musical I’ve done!
🤜🤛🤘
I always cry so much watching this movie 😂. One of my favorites of all time, I love it!!!
-Oak
Love all the singing in this film ❤
I saw this movie twice in theaters. Once with my mom and once with friends, who i convinced to go see it and they instantly fell in love. We still jam out to the soundtrack when driving. And i was involved in my school theater when this came out so we would all get together and watch this once it was out on digital.
I knew the songs from this film before watching it, and when I watched it, it made me like this film even more
I loved this movie from the opening. My grandpa and I decided to see a movie when he came to visit. I was like: hey Hugh Jackman might as well go see this. And it was AWESOME!
OH MY GOD I didn't realize I was waiting for this until I saw it dropped!!! One of the best musical movies
I remember watching this on a long flight and absolutely loved it! Wish I could've seen it in the theater :')
Now you guys NEED to watch The Miserables (AMAZING, STUNNING AND ALSO HUGH JACKMAN)
Les Miserables. And I agree, it is a fantastic movie. Hugh Jackman is great, Anne Hathaway earned her Oscar, and Russell Crowe isn't as terrible as the critics say.
@@professionalvampire1 I like Russell Crowe's solo as well as the rest of the Musical.
When I saw this a few years ago I was amazed. I was watching Wolverine belt out the notes like it was nothing. What a talented actor Hugh Jackman is. I see an Oscar down the road. Amazing! 🤩
I saw Hugh Jackman in the Music Man on Broadway last year - what a joy!
Man I love Oak more and more, he is speaking out of my soul and such rich emotions. Love yall, keep it up
You guys are always so heartfelt. It’s so refreshing to see men who are willing to show that and be open to so many different things.
They mean a lot to me and I’m sure many others as well ❤️❤️
One of my favorite reactions, literally started crying when Appleton mentioned prom night and them playing ‘this is me’ I hope theaters rerelease this someday so l’ll get to experience it
Absolutely one of my favorite movies, I had the soundtrack and repeat for quite some time after seeing it for the first time.
I absolutely love your reactions! Thank you guys for reacting for such different movie genres and delivering us laughs, sometimes tears and great insights☺️
And with every reaction I love Oak more - the vulnerability and realness is so precious!
Disney just announced it that there will be a Broadway show coming soon 15:36
I think a lot of people don’t realize Hugh Jackman is a singer. He has done a ton of stage musicals including on broadway.
I watch this whenever I need to feel good ♥
Omg I haven't rewatched this movie in ages; you guys definitely reignited the love in my heart for it!
I love this movie. In the theatre where I watched it, all of the crowd gave a standing ovation, for the movie! All through the credits. It was incredible.
This is one of my comfort movies! Such an amazing film. Thank you for the reaction. 🥹
But the message to be proud of who you are..to celebrate yourself..is just so beautiful
Now having my 2 kids since seeing the movie, it’s all I could ever want for them.
Not usually a musicals fan, but this was a wonderful movie, with wonderful reactions from wonderful Badd Medicine & wonderful words said in your review comments by all of you 😁💚♥️
It was announced by Disney at the D23 convention on August 9, 2024 that there are plans to make a Broadway Stage version of The Greatest Showman. There were no dates stated at the time.
24:05 can confirm! It absolutely is the most amazing feeling maybe ever! I wish everyone could experience it at least once in their life! It’s truly indescribable! 15/10 would recommend (unless you have stage fright, then definitely do NOT do that 😂)
Love you guys, thanks for all the laughs and insightful commentary 💛
This movie had such a hold on me in 8th grade(still does ngl lol). But when i was in choir we basically performed all the songs, literally a core memory.
Hugh is just perfect in all the movies he stars on 🤩😆
😳Oh my God I'm so excited to watch your reaction to this amazing show! 🥰 The songs are exquisite and the acting is superb. Here we go...
**Okay I just finished the reaction that I have to say this is one of my absolute favorite ones from you guys! ❤ I've seen this show a dozen times and I own the soundtrack DVD and I can't get enough of the music etc so I am so very pleased that you all loved it so much. It brought tears to my eyes like it always does... but not as much as when The Oak was expressing his deepest thoughts about the show and the charities that he helps. You guys are all terrific and I love watching this channel, but The Oak is one very special man.❤
I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but the "wishing mashine" that can "keep your wish safe until it comes true" reminded me of the movie Wish
I thought about that to for a moment.
So glad you guys saw this! I loved it. I can’t wait for it on Broadway. They announced it is in the works at the D23 expo a few weeks ago.
