That looks like the model my grandfather had. He fixed that thing every year with used parts. It always worked. He cut the wheat with it in 1980 three days before he died.
Hope that machine finds a good new home,it would be wonderful see it running again harvesting grains in vintage farm machine show.liked the video very much.
The seat frame is the same seat from the 5 Star MM tractor. They had springs in the bottom cushion since there isnt any suspension on them. JDs used the same frame on their tractors which was made by Knoedler. The box on the side of the combine is a weed seed attachment you could buy to collect the weed seed. The MM cylinders could be used on any tractor but you had to use an MM cylinder on the older MM tractors as the check valves are in the cylinder. That cylinder is the larger one, a 3 1/2 inch. The engine is a Continental brand of engine.
Can't find picture but I used to have a picture of my Dad on a new one like that don't know if they made other models but it had the round grain tank, know the picture was taken sometime in the 50's as the farmer sold out in the 1960 was in the county of stafford in kansas. If I was guessing it was bought from the dealership of Clem Rich in ST. JOHN KS.
Used to be a MM combine sitting in the pasture on the farm next to ours. Long gone now, but only MM combine I ever saw in this area. Not sure what model it was but seemed smaller than yours.
Nope that is a cleanings collector, bag up your weed seeds and burn them, in some ways they were smarter then. On JD and Allis All Crop pull types they used a "scour clean", same idea, bag your weed seeds instead of putting them back on the ground

Always liked the old rare Minneapolis Moline equipment
They are fun to look at
The small hopper was part of a "Screenings attachment" It save the small weed seeds and cracked/broken grain kernels to be used for Chicken Feed ETC!
Love it thanks
If memory serves me I grew up with one very similar to it and the engine was a continental flat head 6 cylinder.
Very cool where are you from?
@@wildcatwilly I live in southwest Missouri.
