Keep in mind that high speed rail requires certain qualities and consistency of track. If the track itself is not safely capable of high speed traffic then it is not a feasible option, regardless of equipment. That may be the case here in this particlar rail corridor.
Do not understand why this train goes across the river to Drummondville, then crosses back over to the other side to get to Quebec. Shouldn't it just go from Montreal to Trois Rivieres to get to Quebec?

We need a fast electric train like Europe ….Quebec City to Montreal to New York and Toronto. It would be great for the economy. Currently North American trains are crap, Governments invested too much in every individual having a car.
