16:10 those mountains are beautiful. I have family not too far from Jacquet River Train Station, that's what the mountains look like when I'm at their place. It's breathtaking
Very nice video! Enjoyed it Just to let you know a couple of things after the pandemic, they took off the trains a very important observation car with its own 1950s club car …. This observation car is no longer available on this route, but there are a couple of observation cars from Toronto to Vancouver on the Canadian train Also, a little fact about those last blue chairs you showed in economy They are wicked comfortable I’ve slept in the many times and they just cradle you. I’ve taken that trip so many times in my life ….. sometimes in the sleeper class and sometimes in economy Thanks for posting your video
Great video - thanks for all the details! We're taking this train in November (and also in room 5). We're taking the Adirondack up to Montreal the day before, so it was cute that you saw in entering the station.
Thank you for watching and I’m happy to have helped. That’s pretty great then you’ll be taking that route. I’m aiming for the Adirondack one day. Safe journeys.
I take the ocean every year to visit my mother in Nova Scotia. I take the train from Toronto to Montreal and then Montreal to Halifax 2 years ago. I was so delayed it took 39 hours😢
I was on that same route in August with A group. We were in A sleeper plus compartment too! We thought it was very tight. The bathroom made me feel like I was in the Jetsons cartoon. I was in the top bunk too! My feet were touching the wall. We didn’t ride the whole route though. We thought the ride was very smooth.
@@mattsmoments2 : we also found the sink difficult to use. You could easily burn yourself with the sink . It was difficult to get just warm water not scalding hot water. We were better off by not doing the bare necessities. I was surprised that they only took plastic in the bar /club car.
I've been frustrated for years by the windows on Amtrak, as generally they are dirty and pitted and, as I'm a photographer, make shooting out the windows tough. No contrast, either in light or color. Via Rails windows, based on the video you show, looks like they are much better in allowing you to photograph. Your thoughts?
@@mattsmoments2 No worries - its like putting down the population of New York City instead of the state of New York. Speaking of New York - you should try to do the Adirondack next from NYC to Montreal.
Great video. I hope to take this trip someday. I would highly recommend taking 'The Canadian' from Toronto to Vancouver - 4 days/4 nights/4700km. I'm taking it from Toronto to Edmonton in November

Thank you for all the great info. It’s a bummer the changes with time.
Dude you deserve more subscribers and views for such great videos
Much appreciated thank you. One day I hope to catch the algorithm just right. Until then more content and fun
It’s beautiful!
You’d love it

I would have chosen the ravioli too (and of course the cheesecake)
Love it! 😊

Goodness that’s quite the delay
Speaking of this trip, I gotta mark montreal and halifax off on my map!
Hell ya brother! I hope you enjoy the video
Lmao, why do you let me film for you? Between the room tour and how camera shy I am. Maybe some day I'll won't be so awkward, lol
@@Kdun22 lmao I know exactly how you feel! I’m the same way.
The two of yall do great lol

That’s the thing about trains usually tight squeeze in rooms. I’m intrigued about VIA rails berths. They look tight squeeze for sure.

@gregtrain1 that’s wild to hear about the hot water. As for using only plastic I know that’s becoming more and more common.

Good observation. VIA Rail definitely had cleaner windows. Amtrak windows always always, seem to be dirty or something off about them. lol
Train>plane any day. Unless you're on time constraints lol
I love them all. I’m partial to air travel though just because that’s been my career for 20 years
Sainte-Foy, pronounced S-ant Fwah. 🙂
Thank you kindly for the pronunciation
you got the population of Quebec wrong
My apologies. I’m just going off the info found on a google search. I’m intrigued to know the correct population.
@@mattsmoments2 Not sure what you googled but its closer to 8.5 million. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quebec
lol you know what it probably did……that’s probably the population of Quebec City. I error I’m sure. Thank you for the number

I like your thinking. I’ll aim for it.
If you went from Montreal to Helifax, you did not go afford Canada! Not even half way.
I don't think I could do a train. Too cramp up for my fat azz😂
Cmon man! You got this 😂
You don’t have to sit still like a car ride.

Thank you for the compliment. I plan to take the Canadian one day. Looks amazing.
