None of your videos are boring, your style is great and makes them all entertaining and informative. I’d prefer a weekly video on Sunday only unless you’ve got something big to share mid-week.
Anything is great... you are juggling chain saws by starting a new biz and doing a van build. I appreciate what you produce and grateful for it!! After all, it is a marathon and not a sprint.
George like many of your other devoted subscribers I agree that I like any and everything you put on your channel. The build must be enjoyed by you, that comes across in your videos and I enjoy watching your have fun as much as I learn from your videos. Do whatever works best for you and us subscribers will watch it all. As anxious as you are to finish your build, I think I’m more anxious 😜
I prefer the longer, once-a-week videos. I feel they are more informative than the shorter videos. Whatever you decide to do, I'll still be following along. Thanks for the great content!
George, I think it is very apparent that the videos productions of your van build (done by the HANGING LANTERN) that your subscribers are NOT going anywhere! WE (your subscribers) enjoy and appreciate your PROFESSIONAL dedication for both the van build and videos. DO NOT worry about a schedule for your video productions, as WE are happy when we are given a video update. BTW, that is what that little BELL is for, we get a notification when you have so generously given us another build lesson. So BUILD on TEACHER!
1 vote for longer form story driven videos! They remind me of Alton Brown "Good Eats" episodes where you learn something new while laughing at absurd skits and lame puns. But seriously like everyone else said, make whatever content you want. I think we're all just happy to hear from you :)
I do enjoy your green screen shots and such, but I also enjoy watching the progress. Your videos always hold my interest, so whichever way you choose to make them, I’ll still be watching😊
I would vote for the once a week video.... to get more of your unique and creative style...but will definitely watch more if they get posted...do what works best for you !
"heavy on the ruler, light on the blade" got it, thank you. You never heard me complaining :-) In a DIY van build mundanity and tedium happens :-) I get the real DIY scene from watching a professional like yourself and I'm raising my standards on my DIY build.
I love all your videos short or long doesn’t matter. You’re the most interesting part of the whole thing so just be you and don’t worry about us so much but it’s fun to see your progress in a little. I love to watch how you think things through that to me is the most interesting thing ... you think of things that maybe most people wouldn’t think of ... so do short ones it’s OK they don’t have to be big productions just you talking is very interesting I think I speak for a lot of people. 😃👍🏼
I like the detailed longer pieces best. Today's was perfect in lenght, instructional and your wit. And I enjoy have 2 videos a week too. Do what works for you. We're (I think I'm speaking for more than myself) here and not hoing anywhere. At least until you take us on a trip.
Every video you make is GREAT! My suggestion is to focus on making the type of video YOU want to make!! Everyone will love what ever you do, but YOU have got to love making them! Thank you for all the hard work and effort you are putting into the videos and the van!!
I enjoy watching your videos and want you to make them the way that's best for you. I'll watch them whenever you post. Be true to yourself and have fun.
I like both style. I think what's more important is that you do what works for you. We're just lucky that you are taking us for the ride. Enjoy the process, no need to add pressure on yourself. This is suppose to be fun, right!
Whatever works best for you is good enough for me whether long or short videos. I recognize we only see a tiny fraction of what all you put into what we eventually get to see and experience. You may not realize that you're spoiling most of us in numerous ways, including but not limited to, entertainment, creativity, teaching, mentoring, etc. Whichever path you take, I for one am grateful for the opportunity to watch a genius at work! Thank you!
You're such a perfectionist, I ant believe you thought you'd be done in 5 months. I'll be surprised if you're done in another 5 months. You above all people know it takes time.
What Rhonda said. It is your channel. While we all enjoy what you are creating, it still needs to be fun for you. You should not do stuff that is not fun work for you.
Occur with the comments before. Love your work - both your videos and your van build. Update us when it makes sense. Keep your sanity. Free all, this is supposed to be fun.
George, It's evident that every inch has been meticulously planned and designed which is understandably time consuming; but if I don't see fuuny George, educational George, enchanting George, and George the perfectionist, well it's like a day without sunshine.
Hey George, loving the conversation today! We know the first project is always the most difficult and takes the longest because creating something new, from scratch, is so involved. The next van will be quicker and easier because all the kinks will already be worked out. What's great about what you do is the quality of the work, taking us along for the ride and watching the passion you inject into everything you do. I suggest keeping to your short vid schedule and giving us a longer video once a month. That way we get best of both worlds and you get enough time in your schedule to plan the longer video with less stress. But please know, whatever you decide, we will LOVE it!
I consider it a privilege to peek into your build progress. You don’t owe us anything. Simply publish an update when you feel ready to do so. I never even noticed that you were on a Wednesday/Sunday schedule ........and I’m your biggest fan!!! I can’t imagine you losing any viewers regardless if the videos are short or long. We all know what a mammoth project you’ve got going and that it requires immense energy and concentration. We’re all here to admire what you’re doing when you’re ready to show us.
George, I could listen to your videos all day long because they have valuable content and are educational! Stay true to your values/work values. Most people today, speaking with myself in mind, don’t have a lot of time to hang and watch “movie-length” videos, but may if there is valuable content; shorter is better and may command more attention from new viewers. That’s why I chose to view your first video! Re frequency...you already have our attention, so do what works for you in a way that it doesn’t affect your attention to the build details because that is what got you to this point in the first place. No matter when or how long, I’ll continue to be on the lookout for your videos!! They are always interesting and entertaining!
Got a George fix. I'm happy now. Whatever schedule stays fun and keeps you happy. I can watch repeats and have when I need something upbeat in my life. Thank you for sharing you project.
Things I enjoyed that probably don't take long, Stories or planning, use intro music, loved all the music so just reuse it, don't need new all the time. Go over work already done, talk about plans future, elaboration comes when you have passion and time for it. show old content clips together with music. short is good it might be easy to take a drive and tell a story, video of your local park, talking, walking add music. You lived a long life so far, bring up the memories George, bring back Happy George, loving the content keep it coming.
Learning from you for my future van. So much appreciate your craftmanship, your clear, thoughtful and fun vids. Whatever you can do I am glad to learn from your expertise, be it short or long or a combination, you do it in such a way that is easy to watch & learn from. I'm grateful & thankful & excited to have you share & show us what's involved in a van build project. I like seeing the progress & problem solving. It's like being there with you. Thank you so much.
Your work is all about creating an infrastructure with integrity which cannot be seen at face value! I’m happy with any video that you put out long or short...so maybe put out a few short ones and a longer one within a timeframe that works for you!
It's all good George, whatever you decide, but I cast my vote with the longer once a week vid. Only you can do those, and it looks like you're having a blast doing them. HR the master craftsman AND videographer! Must come from ur DNA in commercial photography. Skill, humor, vision, green screen = Awesome!
I like your long videos, the short ones are great but it always leaves me wanting more. Once or twice a week is ok with me. I absolutely love your production style and humor and 5 minutes just isn’t enough. Yes I’m greedy 😌 thanks George! #teamlongvideos
George...We love any of your videos. Stop feeling guilty / complete the van is 1st priority! Like the short updates on your week. I am sure allot of time is spent thinking how to improvise...KEEP UP THE Great Work and Short Updates! I liked your seat swivel good & bad video. Very helpful to hear the truth!
you are so likeable and so good with what you do. so just do what best for you! don't forget to keep all the templates little and big for future build :) (sometimes with the heat of doing we forget such things. i bet you don't! just making sure:)
George I love each and every one of your videos. Always enjoy them, learn a lot, and they always make me smile. I think you, as the producer, need to do what is best for you. You always give us an excellent video. (I can't believe how fast this year has gone by)
Van updates are great..whenever they are. they're interesting and you present them in a humorous way. How about an update video as you complete each project and then a live stream Q & A on that update. Thanks for posting your progress.
My take is that different parts of the project and your life take different explanations. So some would be quick and on one topic, other videos can be a bit more varied on different and several topics. What you are doing is just fine. Your explanations are practical and succinct.
I have been thoroughly enjoying your videos👍👍 For me I would absolutely love to see longer videos. I find it very educational when people get in depth with their videos, and when they give tips on what doesn't work and how to fix it. But DEFINITELY keep up the great work
As much as I like getting more videos - I think it is probably better to have 1 longer video each week which may allow you more time to do more on the van - but, whatever works for you George!
I vote for the short videos and very much appreciate you sharing the process. My 2017 Promaster build will be done in April sans the bells and whistles. My years spent repairing boats and cars ingrained the KISS approach.

Your 5-month build/design projection made me laugh - I've been at it for 18 months (7 months travel time) still not done but totally enjoying the process! The hole saw idea is gold, as well as the skin a/w insulation, wrapped together.. kutgw...
Truly enjoy your videos and the great information. All the short tidbits and your enthusiastic personality are truly appreciated . Your the craftsman and know what works best for you. Were along for the ride and love the adventure. Thank you so much. George.

Oh the life lessons you have taught us George. Gems like always keep your nut bucket handy and now heavy on the ruler light on the blade. Life lessons I tell ya. Great video, been with you since the start
If you need to slow down on the videos to finish the van, do that. You can shoot the videos, but wait on editing and posting if you need to, in order to finish the van. Don't stretch yourself so thin that you aren't enjoying both building the van and making the videos. Take care of yourself man!!
At 6.5 hours a week to work on the van, my progress is barely noticeable, hence the roughly every-three weeks per video. I wouldn't sweat it. You will continue to grow your channel regardless of the schedule at which you put out videos.
Great job George! If you put a metal strip on the shelf, the magnets in the blinds will stop them falling off the shelf while driving 👍
Oh that's brilliant thinking, Niamh!
None of your videos are boring, your style is great and makes them all entertaining and informative. I’d prefer a weekly video on Sunday only unless you’ve got something big to share mid-week.

The skills you are using are the same as those that my dad taught me many years ago. Even at 70 it's fun to watch you use build and upgrade the vans.
I prefer the longer videos once a week but do what is best for you. Your content is the best out there.
Love your videos, regardless of 1 or 2 a week, George. Do what gives you pleasure.
You're such a perfectionist, I ant believe you thought you'd be done in 5 months. I'll be surprised if you're done in another 5 months. You above all people know it takes time.
George, 2 or 1 a week, hey, whatever helps you get it done by May. We will still be here, cheering you on!

Anything you share is appreciated, I just love your style. Would be very interested in how you finally wrap those boards.
Whatever works for you George - it is a journey!!!!! Appreciate you telling us how it is really to self build!!!!! 😀🐶☮️
two weeks short, cause I love seeing how things are done, no frills needed. Third week have fun, cause we love that too.
Oh that's a great idea! Never occurred to me!
I like what ever you do. Great videos very entertaining but good information and instruction.
It's all good George, whatever you decide, but I cast my vote with the longer once a week vid. Only you can do those, and it looks like you're having a blast doing them. Thanks for another great vid... no pressure for more, just finish the van build tomorrow,, haha
Even if you’re not showing us actual progress, in my opinion, I still love seeing your thought process as you go along. 👍🏻
Short or long is good. Whatever suits the week I'd suggest!
Heavy on the ruler, light on the blade!!
Van updates are great..whenever they are. they're interesting and you present them in a humorous way. How about an update video as you complete each project and then a live stream Q & A on that update. Thanks for posting your progress.
I just purchased some new equipment to produce a proper live stream. Once I work the bugs out, we'll chat!
@@HumbleRoad Looking forward to it!
I'm Machinist by day Photographer by night . I appreciate your attention to detail on the build and production.
That's quite a combination! I bet you do some really cool stuff, day and night.
My take is that different parts of the project and your life take different explanations. So some would be quick and on one topic, other videos can be a bit more varied on different and several topics. What you are doing is just fine. Your explanations are practical and succinct.
It feels like we're getting a glimpse of you building your business. I like the short updates ... Maybe we'll get longer videos when you travel.
Very insightful, Paulette. Because, In my mind I am building a new van company. That is my goal and focus.
I have been thoroughly enjoying your videos👍👍 For me I would absolutely love to see longer videos. I find it very educational when people get in depth with their videos, and when they give tips on what doesn't work and how to fix it. But DEFINITELY keep up the great work
Thank you Daryl. I appreciate your support and enthusiasm.
As much as I like getting more videos - I think it is probably better to have 1 longer video each week which may allow you more time to do more on the van - but, whatever works for you George!
Whatever works best for you. Looks like you are a perfectionist. Gonna be s great van build! 👍
One video a week - like them longer both for the extended project information and more of your whiz production values.
I vote for the short videos and very much appreciate you sharing the process. My 2017 Promaster build will be done in April sans the bells and whistles. My years spent repairing boats and cars ingrained the KISS approach.
whatever floats your Boat George! luv em.
Looks good. Like your videos. Everything takes longer. My build was to be 6 months. Took 3 years.
👍
You decide when you want to video. What you have time for.....we have been hanging in there this long what's a few more weeks........ to see this beautiful van..... Thanks.
Your 5-month build/design projection made me laugh - I've been at it for 18 months (7 months travel time) still not done but totally enjoying the process! The hole saw idea is gold, as well as the skin a/w insulation, wrapped together.. kutgw...
I really like the short updates.
I have learned a lot watching your videos, very inspiring thankyou
Truly enjoy your videos and the great information. All the short tidbits and your enthusiastic personality are truly appreciated . Your the craftsman and know what works best for you. Were along for the ride and love the adventure. Thank you so much. George.
Short video is fine. Good tidbits either way.
We love watching all your masterful videos. A weekly update is great!
I love your videos and would watch them all regardless.. though I’d prefer a longer one once a week
Your humour and personality come out more when you have a bit of extra time.. I’ve been a casual viewer since the screen door in the pleasure way, but that end scene you did on the original bed plan video jumping in front of the green screen made me subscribe
Maybe you could do a bonus video midweek only when you have extra content you want to share
I think you should scale back to once a week so that you can get more done and work a bit less on the videos. I love all that you are sharing and can't wait for your next one! Thanks so much!
Whatever works for you!
Just taking it as it comes! Just keep em coming!
2 shorts or 1 long -- I'll take either. Always enjoy regardless of length.
Short and sweet please, keep it rollin. Nice use of CAD, cardboard aided design 😂
At 6.5 hours a week to work on the van, my progress is barely noticeable, hence the roughly every-three weeks per video. I wouldn't sweat it. You will continue to grow your channel regardless of the schedule at which you put out videos.
