I want to live in the timeline where Mark Felix wins every event in ludicrous fashion and we are witness to the single greatest sandbagging job in human history.
I just turned 57, and can't really accept it. Watching Mark compete at this age is such a motivation. Hope the best for you. Kick some ass for us old guys, ok?
"Anymore" ? He hasn't made the final for almost a decade. Out of the 17 times he's been invited he's made the final only three times, and two of those times were his second and third appearances, 15/16 years ago.
Yeah, he hasnt been at that level in a LONG time, lol. There are plenty of great competitions he can be in to show off what a 57yo is capable of. WSM isnt it.
@@staceygram5555 he's made the stone off a few times and that is literally 'challenging for the final'. It is fair to say he's not in that very top tier, but to still be just beneath it for so many years is amazing.
He works 6 days a week as a plasterer and is WSM athlete absolute legend. Aunty liz I'm disappointed you didn't put his music in those angels singing in the background
I hope Mark sticks around on the scene after his eventual retirement. He'd be a pleasure to listen to in the commentary booth as a third-man or to have as a post-performance interviewer etc. A la Kazmier, Bryce, Loz etc!
Mark is a GOAT, the shear amount of time he has competed at the elite level. I have loved and watched WSM since the first one. I cannot now imagine WSM without Mark. God bless this amazing man.
I cant watch Mitch after Arnolds, hes too cocky and defiantly cant lace the shoes of Mark. I tried to like Hooper but he just kept pushing buttons that pissed me off so unsubscribed and wont watch any video hes in. Plus he has a moustache which is just wrong on every level.
@@baldymagoo he's very focussed and analytical which I can see rubbing some people off the wrong way, but I think it's more not mincing his words than cockiness. Even if it were cockiness, the bloke just won the Arnolds. Deserves to be a bit arrogant
He's competing in the Grandmaster category at OSG this year. Its just Mark on his own, competing against himself. The predicted result is 5th place overall.
This is a person who *started* strongman at 37, which is an age by which most athletes have retired! Given that he was arguably the best strongman deadlifter in the world at one point, I can't help but wonder how his career would have looked if he had started twenty years earlier.
Was wondering how long it would take Loz to crack with the intro 😂 57 and still competing is a win. Hope he gets the bow out he deserves. One thing I could never understand was why his overhead was such a weakness for him??
I don't see how competing at his age or being invited 18 times is an achievement. It's an invitation, not a qualification. He barely ever even get out of the group stage. It's quite clear that he doesn't get invited because of his performance, but despite of it.
Come on...Tom Brady and his achievements cannot possibly be compared to Mark Felix. You're talking about someone who is arguably the best of all time who was a threat at the highest level always vs not that Mark is incredible...absolutely amazing, but it's not like he's getting to WSM on his achievements.
@@shawnmichaud4484 no obviously Tom is much more impressive overall - just strictly speaking of Tom’s last season vs Marks. The longevity piece, not the actual performance.
The average strong man retires in their thirties or early forties. Look at Ed Corney, he started training and competing in bodybuilding at age 44, I believe!
I am rooting for mark to make it to the final, I have always loved watching him in the deadlift events, amazing at 57 to be still in it with all the much younger guys…
Mark has nearly made the final in the last few years. I really want him to make one last final this year ❤
its sooo insane talking about genetics🤣🤣🤣
Not gonna happen.
@Stacey Gram I know that. Just let us enjoy hoping one last time.
Mitch and BigLoz and Liz both doing Mark Felix today. What a treat!
agree

Granted he maybe isn't quite at the level to challenge for the final anymore, it is mind boggling how strong (and fit) he still is at 57 years old.

Much respect to Mark
Hopefully Mark caries on with the masters over 50s and similar events, he still has a lot to offer and is so enjoyable to watch.
They'll have to introduce an over 60 just for him!
A true legend of the sport
A "legend" who's never won anything, lol
I would just send him through to the Final straight away
Only way he's gonna get through...

The one, the only MARK FELIX❤❤❤❤❤
First or last, Mark can do no wrong. He’s an absolute LEGEND!
I am sad its his last worlds, I love watching him and cheering him on. He is an inspiration to all us old uns
Good luck and stay healthy Mark Felix. Thanks for the great entertainment.
With that intro, I was thinking the camera was going to pan out & Mark Felix was in studio with you guys.

Good Timing Liz to upload on the same day as Mitch did Ten Mins with Mark👏👏❤️
An absolute living legend.
I should be there Thursday for probably Mark's last event. Hopefully I can get a photo with the legend himself
‘Mark Felix WSM 2023’ what a story that would be 🤣
Perfect timing, just finished watching Mitch's 10 minutes with... Mark Felix.

Miracle man!
Genuinely one of my heroes
Imagine you're one of the guys competing at worlds strongest man and you lose to a guy old enough to be your father.
Worlds strongest grandpa!

Uncle Loz can you get Uncle Mark to a Armwrestling table👀
That shirt is hella metal!
Always brutally honest, Loz !! That's why we love you !! Obviously we would love the legend Felix getting through ❤
57 that’s just ridiculous, respect
Let's not forget mark is only 2 years younger than magnus. Absolutely incredible
If Mark dyed his beard he could fool people into thinking he's a newcomer. The man does not age.
All my luck to Mark in the final!

I'd love to see him on Brian Shaw's podcast... they could both reminisce on their careers after WSM is done. What a guy.
This man redefines what it means to have “old man strength.”
Was wondering how long it would take Loz to crack with the intro 😂 57 and still competing is a win. Hope he gets the bow out he deserves. One thing I could never understand was why his overhead was such a weakness for him??
something he doesn't like to train? Bad shoulders maybe throughout the years?
A lot of the oldest strongmen seem to struggle with overhead. I think after years of training/competing, the shoulder joints just can't take it.

Tom and Oleski were kids during Marks first WSM Appearance
I need that t-shirt loz!!! Where did you get it? Love your content big fan! ❤
Shout out to that shirt!
Not sure what feat was more impressive - Tom Brady playing professional football at 45, or Felix doing strongman at 57

With the right events he can be in the top 6 which is pretty cool considering his age.

Epic intro! Haha
Hope he can sneak into the final but agree not the best events for him
and he still works a manual job

Think they’ll put him in a group with Brian?
Lol
😊
It would have been good if he'd slowed down 20 (!) years ago!
Am I the only one waiting till the series is finished then binge watching them all at the end?
No angel music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mark Felix 57 years old and hes still stronger than most 30 years old man in this planet.
He’s stronger than 99.999% of people still period.

Why not make it 20 instead of 18 🤔🤷♂️🙃
Mark and Brian in the final one last time🤞🏼!!!
Born 17 04 1966
Age 56
Mark Felix
He’s not 57 he’s still a sprite 56
But as they said in the video, he will 57 when at WSM.
Why do they keep inviting Mark to WSM? Are the organizers friends with him? That's the only reason I can think of.
Waste of a spot, no chance
mark should not be coming back. Journey men in strongmen are detrimental of the sport.
My hope is that Brian also retiring from WSM this year doesn't overshadow Mark.
Realistically Mark will retire after the groups finish and Brian will retire after the final. Obviously anything can happen though 😂
Yeah, don't let one of the greatest Strongmen of all time overshadow some guy who's literally never won anything.... 😂
A true legend.
He's never won anything.
