My 6yr old son came home and the way he explained his lockdoen drill had me in tears. He said "Quan is going to get us killed by the bad guy because he won't be quiet"

Love how Mona has a great balance of current events politically and socially I might not always agree with her opinion but I always tune in to listen to it she’s grown so much in just 80+ episodes she always says she hated her first episode and I did tot but I’m super glad I came back……. Loved the piece on school shootings. Y’all are 100% right about lobbying and money being one of the main issues. Just wanted to add another perspective to it: moving from a fairly “liberal” place to a very conservative place having an arsenal of guns is part of a lot of these folks identity. I’ve never seen so many “come and take it” stickers on cars in my life. Conservatives have created a monster that I believe they can no longer control. I think they know shit is messed up, but I think they have a genuine fear of those idiots doing another, more violent January 6th if they try to create stricter regulations. Who knows though-great show today it’s really got me thinking
when I was in Wisconsin I bought a bumper sticker with a rifle on it just says "Assault Life".....It's so stupid lol I bought it ironically but it really is a culture of death when you dig into it. the policies won't come until people are willing to let go of that culture
Exactly I think it’s a mix of fear and greed from our politicians and people in power. They ignore children being murdered so they can appease their dumb ass supporters and take more money out of their dumb ass pockets and the people don’t even know it.

I completely agree with you Mona I’m 40 mins away from Nashville when I tell you I cried my eyes out when that incident occurred. I have a high schooler and I’m so scared for her to go to school everyday. Where I live we don’t have private school we have 1 high school that I have to send her to or home school her and I can’t do that because her father and I have to work Monday through Friday.

Great topics. I have a 6 month old baby, we moved our family to Mexico bc of how crazy America is. Guns are out of control in America. In Mexico, we feel so much more safe every time we leave home. You can even walk the streets at night without fearing for your life. To add some context, we moved here from Atlanta.

I'm glad you guys are reading the comments, because you guys are adding a new segment. I was just saying in the comments 2 episodes ago that another podcast has really really great segments, and they've been adding more segments that are sooo good. Now you all are bout to start Docs with Mona. Plus I was saying we need Tom back, and want MORE of Phelps. Plus I've noticed you guys are slowly upgrading the studio. I hear Phelps saying that you guys are going to be doing more like smoking segments, and the green screen. Mona you are doing your nail cam again, because used to do it and now you're back on it. Cuz you forgot about the nail cam, and this episode was longer than they've EVER been before. I really like Tom, and since he's been back the show is slowy getting better than it has been for a long time.

That Waco Doc was crazy. As kids we didn’t understand the magnitude of the situation. But seeing the doc decades later and actual footage had me like 😳😳. They fucked the ATF up. I’ve never seen the law waving a🏳️ And the connection with the Oklahoma city bombing. We forget how crazy the 90’s were.
Waco was a very crazy documentary. Mind blowing they really went to war and the mis- communication between the authorities was a mess.
