Update to the video a month after release. Drednaw priority has only gone up, so now people are rotating from top at 7:30 instead of around 7ish. Its insane
Also I dl’ed this video specifically to help all my friends who have never played mobas. I only have about 5 years, but if someone is willing to soak up a lot of teamwork and mechanics education from this the ranked leaderboards will be stacked
League Pros: “Focus on your own plays you can’t control your team”
Pokémon Pros: “My team is bad bunch of trolls”
unfortunately for Pokémon Unite... this is actually true. The objectives are over tuned, and if your team doesn't help you're just fucked. In league at least you have other options for come back.
In pokemon, you can have a 10 level lead, 500 point lead and a 90 kill lead, but you'll just lose if they get zapdos. This game is absolute trash in its current state, not to mention pay to win.
@@infernape28 the pay to win on this game ends once you get your items to level 20, which isnt that hard. level 30 items add maybe a 20 damage lead for example on the attack item.
Even when I say I’m going bot or top, there is always the one person who decides to join me top or bot so we have 3 people in a lane. So I take my pikachu or vulpix and jungle xD
That's exactly my problem. Three of us, sometimes even four in a lane even though I said I'm going top, so I have to jungle, then someone gets the bright idea to come jungle with me.
And the poor fool at bot getting ganked 3v1.
@@supapiece3439 I'm normally the one at bottom getting ganged up 3v1
I think the point is to try new meta
I watched some other guides, but having an in-game example with bad teammates has been more helpful than I thought. Thanks for the video!
My friend is a stickler about staying in your lane. I always tell him im rotating to assist with drednaw, rotom, or lane ganks. Maybe its my League of Legends experience, but after a certain level (in my opinion) you shouldn't be sticking to one lane and assist other lanes to pressure the enemy team, secure objectives and win team fights.
I feel like solo queue games come down to team battles a lot of the time.
Ik it was ages ago but Thanks for the Pokemon quest walkthroughs and advice!
I feel like it would really help settle the flow of early game if there was a "position selection" before matchmaking to help players decide where they want to go first and THEN focus on choosing their pokemon depending on the position they get. And I agree that in that state of the game there is no such thing as "that role goes to that lane"
@@matthewcabagelover9993 maybe there is now :p I actually don't know, it's been while since I've played :p
This was super helpful! I was kind of figuring these things out for myself but still seeing so many people not getting it yet lol. It's really frustrating. People also don't listen to the map call outs :(
I really like this video. I appreciate how it went from theory + experience to a live game commentary and how in your opinion(that I agree with from the game footage used) your team is misplaying.
I also think so far you're the only content creator that has made anything using their brain. You're clearly able to understand how the game is playing now and how it might be getting played soon.
Compared to just releasing the same. "Uhh err this champ good, that move nice, dat guy say these items good."
On top of all that you're even showing character mastery utilizing positioning of you abilities on certain pokemon to leash/deal dmg more effectively. Subbed and please provide me with more content. This is what I've been dying to find.
Thanks for the in depth feedback. I have almost 10 years of experience playing league of legends and understanding high level gameplay like watching LS, Phreak, and MonteCristo to understand how MOBAs are supposed to work.
Content creators, especially Poketubers are genuinely frauds when if comes to gaming skills and are helpless if they can't hack their console to cheat videos or rig content with their audience. So a skill based game that can't be modded really exposes them for the awful creators they have always been, unfortunately their heavily manipulated child audience still supports them or emulates what they say leading to a worse overall experience for every player. Also they have never had any original thoughts of their own so they just pander the popular opinion which is why they have nothing knowledgeable to say about Pokemon or skill expression, they just parrot idiots on reddit or twitter to get more pandering engagement
Just dive into the UNITE playlists and soak up what you can
Nothing will get me angrier than when people don’t do what their Pokémon is meant for/not doing their lanes/jungle and we end up losing and bad because of it
not possible. Nothing matters but zapdos, lane doesn't matter, got to ultra by afking until 7 minutes and just playing for zap
My team decided for me to run slowbro in jungle until I get surf and then head to top or bottom to defend
Thank you for all the vids! I have gotten veteran and im trying to get ultra and I wouldnt have gotten it without all the guides!
I am bad and seeing how you think about your teammates I am much more self conscious
Thanks for the guides! I've never been good at these type of games but your guides have helped me succeed a lot more
that top side timer guide is so spot on, never thought about stealing their top right apalm before!! gonna have to try it out next time 👍🏼
People go for it more in higher level play. The first clear starts getting REALLY weird and you have to adapt on the fly
@@Verlisify yeah i'm in ultra so any & every extra exp gain helps out a bunch!! i'll let you know how it turns out 😅
The pure salt in his voice whenever his team was being idiots. Just watching made me tense up in pure annoyance lol
I am so sorry
And this is every. game.
Every
Game
Same
@@eonstar Yeah, that's fair
@@eonstar its still too casual thats why
Thanks. I’m slowly becoming a pro thx to ur vids
I'm first for once 😅 and this will hopefully help me a lot I'm struggling with lanes 😅
Hey Verlisify! Really enjoying all your videos. Thanks so much for putting them out there! Wanted to see if you could by chance do a video on controller schemes and setting or like how best to set up your controls. Thanks again dude!
My daily news paper, along with nightly news to fall asleep an also wake upto. This guy has information straight forward like abc news reader. New subscriber and addicted to information that actually started applying and can hear you guiding me in game ! Haha thanks for your advice and tips definitely appreciated, and put in use! With great results thanks to your advice. My must watch whilst taking breaks. And never played league games or like this. Pokemon user and your information on this general game play is great and really useful.
Also a question. When a team mate helps defeat a wild pokemon or "camp" as it's refers to doesn't this help both at the same time? I've assisted a team mate and we have both evolved during its defeat as well as gained shield an stat boost when were both in range. So wouldn't a team mate helping defeat same pokemon but in safe range receive same exp and status bonuses?
Really appreciate the videos on Unite! This is the first MOBA style game I've ever played and thanks in large part to these tips I've actually had a pretty great time!
Man you speak the truth especially in that match showcase. Almost 99% of the games are just like that.
Thank you very much for these videos man!! I'm new to the game, but thanks to you i can get better and help the unite community to get better at it.
Why did he say mr mime was trolling?
I didn't quite understand
Edit: 19:43
He meant the enemy mime, he said the enemy mime was trolling because he backdoored instead of trying to help his team with zapdos
Can u do a video on how MVP works also great video keep it up Thank you for all the guides
Yeah idk how it works either, all I know is that it's improved by points dunked, kills (technically faints because this is a children's game and stuff), and assists
I have been stuck in great4 because I get people outright ignoring objectives, diving two people on goal, and somehow being level 4 at the halfway mark
People so set on making early goals reminds me of my early ranked climb. I think I know why they'd go for those goals instead of Rotom or Drednaw: its the items boosted by goals. We can't see the numbers of our character's offense stats and so they're probably in the mindset of that "I'll steamroll if I can spam goals." Nevermind the fact that the game doesn't let anyone know it's capped at 6 goals too, and probably isn't even worth as much as the level up
Tl;dr Stats from ez goals > Drednaw.
In a sense League also has these kinds of players where they push for towers as opposed to Dragons or shutter or even Baron. Players don't realize how important Dragons are until they see the stats they get from the Dragon buffs. In Drednaw's case... the benefit is leveling up and shields. The level up or EXP gain is NOT obvious, so it sets a precident where that anyone that goes for Drednaw is literally throwing the game because of the mindset that it's only good for shields. This mindset is even worse for top players since they don't deal with Drednaw unless they rotate. I'd know, that was my fucking mindset too. It never occur to me how powerful Drednaw is until I got to Expert rank where I could not just steamroll carry as Flail Snorlax. Even if I managed to get top lane to win their lane, it always puzzled me how the enemy top laners are still stronger than us.
Drednaw is functionally similar to Dragons in LoL. As mentioned earlier, it provides your team with valuable buffs depending on the type of dragon it was, then there's the Elder Dragon whose buff gets stronger the more dragon your team secured. On top of that, everyone gets gold and EXP too. The rewards are obvious and desirable
Mobile Legends has Turtle. It's just a giant ass turtle. It doesn't provide buffs like the Dragon does in LoL, but it is still beneficial because it still yields Gold and EXP to your team. The reward is still obvious and desirable.
What does Drednaw offer? Levels? Pssh, I can get that from dunking. Shields? Yuppie, now I'll tank one more hit. The benefit is there but it is not obvious just how good it is. And here's the bigger issue with this: this is a mobile game. A mobile game aimed at children at that. Mobile gamers are infamous for being filthy casuals because for the most of them, the hardest game they'd ever play is Candy Crush Saga. Not many games are realtime PvP because losing in a "fair" fight isn't going to milk your customers. And then there's the crowd of children that just adores Pokemon. Good luck informing these people of the importance of Drednaw. Expert rank is akin to a baptism to a more hardcore game style and even then, they can STILL stumble their way into Veteran. I gave up on solo que because there is just too many Pikachus throwing the game by overextending or not even defending the goal at all and throw away the laning phase before its even over.
Thanks for this. New player, gengar main. This helped alot
My favourite Poketuber! Keep it up bro 👊
Thank you for this video!!! I'm trying to make sure I'm ready to go when it comes out on mobile!
“1v2 defend”…meanwhile a friend was 1v3ing on bottom lane(He was Venusaur and I was Garchomp for context). He was getting ganked on our goal and I said “Hold out for a second, I’ve almost killed the Drednaw.” I kill it, causing him to evolve(into Venusaur) and then utterly turn the tables and destroy the other 3 Pokémon single handedly. LEGEND. Do not sleep on Drednaw, it will literally be a saving Grace if you manage to get it almost, if not, every time it spawns. Stay on your goal if you’re out numbered, it can buy to time for an ally to get to you if they aren’t able to at that moment the enemy attacks. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I had the opposite happen to me where braindead team slept on Drednaw and the take saved Machoke who immediately ulted as Machamp and murdered the team
@@Verlisify I feel your pain, people are not the brightest in this game. I almost never push goal. 100% love and recommend at least trying Venusaur/Garchomp Bott. If works out for me and my friend(we just got off a 8x win streak with that strategy alone). Having someone watch at you solo the Drednaw as Gabite/Garchomp is so good, and if they get away from me and have a tiny sliver of health he snipes them with Solarbeam. Just seems to work for us though, to each their own and all 😂
you can also take advantage of people going to drednaw, for example you can save aoes energy and when the opposing team goes to drednaw you can defeat rotom and score so much that even the opposing team gets drednaw you can win
No. Dreadnaw is 10000% more important. Going Rotom instead is a shit player move that loses the game
I like tank role , Snorlax seems interesting. But my favorite pokemon is Gengar
Now I'm confused what to main, I don't want to waste time upgrading items :(
I'm just afraid my teamnates can't back me up if I go Snorlax
Yeah it seems like even different characters of the same class are really different...
Less goo new guide
Moba with no team speak really kills the game. I understand most of it was to protect younger audience. They need to set prioritize whether this is a competitive game or kids friendly game. Just imagine if this game open on mobile. More trolls are gonna gather
Thank you It might not be much in beginner but it
will help if I get good
How can you tell what rank your team is??
Thank you. Through your tips I got so much better🙏 I just played for 4 days moba (and I win most of the battles ). I‘m a moba beginner (I hope moba is right😂🤷♀️). It’s so much fun🤣❤️
When you think Vets and Masters are good at the game but understands nothing about the game but only killing and scoring.
Whats The Website U Use For The Database?
my fav teammates are the one who don't know where they are going, forcing you to start solo only to run over and steal all the xp, then the game being garbabe makes you attack the left mankey and not the right manky makeing you extra late to lane. then the team mate chooses to just never be there to defend lane or help you push even tho he's taken all the xp
I needed this
I have a quick question totally unrelated to the topic: if your fair play points fall below 60, will the points stay that way permanently?
This is very similar to how my games goes...only difference, they never show up for dred or zaptos. 😭😭😭
I'm here researching how to lane because I'm a Zeraora Jungle player and it's getting old people stealing my spawns. Like if I'm not level 8 before the first Dreadnaw I'm gonna have a long long game.
Thanks!
The most annoying thing is when the other people come to lane to get the aippms and then leave you for dead to 2v1 in order to "help" the other lane and STILL lose 3v2
Great tutorial bud. GGs
Thanks this helped:D
"A big point in this game is stealing the Pokemon"
Sound like a Team Rocket Fanboy :D
Jokes aside , great Video! Helped me improve by several leagues :)
9:53 how can you tell he is a great ball ally?
If you look at the top right of your allies border you can tell what rank they are, pikachu is a blue/red corner on his border which is great ranking.
Verlisify's trainer looks really cool
I’m also close to Ultra! Wish I had your trainer ID and we could party up!
Still don’t understand. What’s the difference between the lanes?
How do you get that outfit?
a little out of the subject, but i always have problems with stealing, like i always miss the time, sometimes i go a little early and sometimes i go too late, please help (bad english)
For my mid Laners and support, remember that the support should leash the jungle (do damage but not deliver final killing blow) for the mid laner since he will get level 4 faster and let the bottom reach level 4 faster too.
If this game had a legit voice chat I'd be able to communicate better with a team. Most players I see are VERY oblivious to their surroundings, don't pay attention to their minimap and know when we can win team fights or not
OOOH, I SEE!! Pokemon Unite is basically Pokemon League of Legends??? oO'' Damn, haha.
Nice content
I can feel the salt from that drednaw steal
It's the players like Venusaur that makes me boil. How does one climb that high playing so oblivious either outright blatant grief or ignorance. How!?
Ha ha solar beam goes brrrr
should i just get gengar or just wait for update for nerfs?
you held more than 100 points and didn't score while goals were free and your teammates were bad? man?
So, laners can do the jungler corphish of the jungler Is not there, ok. Lol il a jungler and other players di the corphish when i was there, ludicolo and bouffalant to...
Literally everyone thinks zapdos is way better than it is... its fine to leave zapdos up. Just wipe them and leave it up
Im so confused about leaning and jungling even tho this video is very informative I still dont understand
If only my teammates watched this 😩
From my experience: by the time you get your 1st ability you beat those who don't, 2 beats the one, and ult beats not ult. (By 1st and 2 I am referring to the abilities that replace your level 1 and 3 stuff)
Gulp Missile gang, where you at?
Love that 420 hits the screen and all you hear is "nice" idk I thought it was funny
I’m pretty sure Ik this answer but is garchomp a jungle cause they need the xp but idk
he can be the garchomp line has atkspd and movement speed rev up so if you can keep it going you can get gabite really early and start ganking
I need a teaaaaam, playing with randos suckkkkkkksss
Plot twist the enemy team still won because they got 420 points. 😏
How import is drednaw?
u will get
1. shield
2. exp
3. score
people should should this before enemy reach it at bottom
btw bottom is lowest exp there that's why slay drewnaw is important
What rank are you?
Hey man I’m no pro but you left that ivy to 1 v 3
@Ryley Klein yea
The match hurt to watch so much
Anyone able to trade a mankey in let’s go
Fuck nintendo and their censorship!! There are lot time you really wanna swear on your stupid team mates
I swear top lane is harder then bottom
I found top to be easier since bot laners do weird shit around audino
@@Verlisify top is easier, simply because there’s slightly less to manage (audino)
Always end up solo in lane jizzz stupid players..
I think hes account sharing 🤷♂️
