@@mcdanielwright4244 I’ve lived here most of my life. Today was gorgeous. I’m afraid it’s the last gorgeous day for months as it will just get hotter and more muggy, even in my NE town. I know California has great weather as I visited on vacation about 10 years ago. I was amazed at how much easier it was to breathe. Often it feels like trying to breathe under water here.

My Lemon Poppyseed Pound Cake has an Orange-Almond Poppyseed Glaze on it that made it my husband’s absolute favorite dessert.

Drawn by the architecture, Old world plush comfort and each room with unique features. The gardens stunning, a perfect visit and a great way to support reopening after the Covid crisis. The golf course view (tempting) being set in beautiful surroundings. Afternoon tea time with an excellent pastry chef at it’s helm looked superb a very nice touch to enjoy all the ambience--what a treat. Perfect ending with the white vase of flowers and a step-by-step of ingredients to bake a lemon poppyseed cake with a lemon wedge served with tea was wonderful.

I never had this either being Italian. It’s been coffee mostly, desserts, homemade cookies of some sort growing up. And since my parents are gone, the traditions have dwindled down. It was never anything so elegant, calming and relaxing but homey rather. I want to make afternoon tea, something to look forward to even alone. My first goal is simply making finger sandwiches, especially cucumber ones. Just adding this simple calming ritual, can probably make getting through a day much less difficult to endure with something to look forward to.

Every time I meet with you, I add a piece of your Scottish world to mine. I also love antiques, china, cooking, baking and gardening. My garden is full of rose scented geraniums, lily of the valley( pink and white), jasmins, French and English roses and other beauties that I tenderly care for them.

Your channel brings so much calm and serenity…. So peaceful. You should be contracted by BBC, PBS, or any major tv network for your on show or to air your channel. Love the way you narrate this content. I’m a big fan of your channel.
I am SO GRATEFUL to see chairs that are actually comfortable, colors like red and green, and no hint of the white/gray/black palette that almost all RUclips decorators are espousing as the only way to go to have a chic home. My living room is done in burgundy and moss colors along with neutrals and I think it's warm and inviting. I also love china and crystal and have a formal dining room. I am 65, not 85! Where did traditional go??!!
