I'm learning more from RUclips rather from the textbook. Not even going to say from the teacher. Online business Statistics, and seriously feel like he through us all to the wolves and fend for ourselves. No zoom. No discussion board. And the book did little to help. So I literally spend a lot of time on RUclips trying to figure out how to do the assignments. And this tutorial really helped a lot. I'm on the binomial distribution probability chapter. *This is a total life saver. Thank you.*
Sorry that so many professors are struggling to adjust to remote teaching. Glad this video Helped. Not sure if you looked at my whole channel but I also have lecture videos.
@@lbstats I'll be sure to check those out. I'm sure that with the tutor I go to, and your videos. I'll be able to understand this much better. Thank you.
@@lbstats With this video, I was able to finish through the binomial distribution. It actually became my favorite since I could basically put it into the calculator without a struggle of how to do it. I also figured out various ways on how to work the binomial out. But this is one of my favorites, since I understand it better.
amymae567 thanks! Hopefully you find the help you need. Not sure if you saw my other instructional (non-calculator) videos that might be of help, but you probably want more one on one help.
I’m not sure if you follow the steps today I listed. The only thing I can think of is to make sure that prior data is cleared but that shouldn’t even apply to this problem. Good luck and sorry I can’t help you further.
I’m glad this helped. Unfortunately I don’t know how to fix overflow. If the whole question is 100!, then you might just have to leave it that way. If it is going to be that value divided by something you probably need to write everything in the Calculator at once instead of doing parts.
What if we wanted to find the probability of 9 "OR MORE" out of 15, is there a way to calculate this on this calculator? Without entering in the equation and replacing "r" with 9,10,11,12,13,14,15. I am very curious to know if there is.
@@lbstats is this just for questions that ask, "find prob. that there's exactly 13"? like, does this method only apply to those types of questions ( not prob. of getting at least 13, etc.)? thanks!
an yt I don’t know how to do “at least” binomial problems on this Calculator. I would end up doing them by hand and just writing down the answer for each one and then add them. So, X = 13 do it again for X =14 etc. it can probably be done. Sorry I don’t know how. I don’t think you need to be in Star mode versus degree mode because it’s not a statistics thing it’s actually a probability thing.
dy/dx Hi, yeah I don’t know how to do that on this calculator. I don’t ask my students that kind of question for discrete data. That’s too many points to find. Is your question for continuous data or discrete data? For continuous data I let my students use the Z table if it’s a normal curve. My college loans out the TI-84. Sorry I’m not of any help. Good luck.
As I sit here on a Sunday morning trying to get through my Statistics homework, you have made my day that much easier. Thank you!
You just saved my exam. I really appreciate that you posted this video 6 years ago.
I was thinking ahead! Just kidding glad it helped you.

I have never appreciated a youtube video more in my life, now I need a tutor hahah

This has seriously saved me. Thank you so much for making this video, it has helped a lot
I’m so glad this was helpful!
@@lbstats It really helped a lot
Oh gosh!! I was sitting here suffering with how I can find the probability and you helped me out! God bless your brains 🙏🙏
Oh wow! Glad it helped and sorry you suffered so long.
Ma’am…you saved my life and probably my future career😭. Thank youu❤️❤️
So glad you found the help you needed!
Thank you sooo much! I was freaking out because I couldn't figure it out. Thank you, super helpful!
Glad this helped!
It was frustrating me, thank you so much!!
your video is a blessing! thank you!
I’m so glad this helped!
oh my! You should have seen my face when it actually worked!!! I jumped up!!! I had no idea how i'd get the ! sign! you're God-sent. Ahsante sana!
Immaculate Mwake i’m so glad you found what you needed. Sorry for the late reply.
i can't seem to get my Texas Instruments TI-30XIIS to display the right answers what can I do

Love this, thank you! I am trying to figure out the less than, at least, greater than.
Thanks. I’m sure there’s a way to have the calculator solve the whole thing for you. If it’s only one or two I just end up doing them by hand.
Hey, thank you a lot for the explanation! Do you know how to avoid the "overflow error" because i can't calculate 100! for example 😓
I’m glad this helped. Unfortunately I don’t know how to fix overflow. If the whole question is 100!, then you might just have to leave it that way. If it is going to be that value divided by something you probably need to write everything in the Calculator at once instead of doing parts.
@@lbstats thank you, I figured it out! I needed 100!/(2!*98!) so I just used 100 nCr 2 :)

Jahmier Quayson So did this help or make it worse?
Super helpful!
Awesome! Glad to hear that (Ladera)
My problem is that I know how to use all the features of TI-30X IIS, but it doesn't have a function let's say P(X

thank you!!!
You are welcome
Can you do binompdf and binomcdf with it?
Kyouma, not that I'm aware of. I just do each part of the formula, as you saw.
Stat 1 - LBCC - Ladera Barbee and what would be equal to binomcdf, make an example pls
bless you, ma'am
Thanks, glad it helped!
