Thank you for “giving me permission” and articulating the reasons why to use central framing!

Of course! I’m glad it was of some value. It’s maybe a simple concept, but super worth considering 🤙🏻

Loved this one. I recently noticed that I too use central framing a lot and it is usually what I gravitate to when taking pictures. I feel like it definitely makes storytelling easier for me. I had this feeling that I might be losing out on great shots for not putting in an extra effort in finding other composition opportunities however, central just feels natural to the way I like to tell stories through photography.
    Thanks again!

There’s always more to learn with composition, but just because you prefer one technique doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong (in my opinion). Glad you liked the video! I really appreciate the conversation. And support 🤙🏻

I find your videos relaxing, but also interesting and informative. A refreshing break from typical RUclips, fast-paced, "loud" photo content. And a motivating reminder that I need to get OUT into the world much more than I have been lately 🙂☀

That means a lot to hear! I know I take a slightly different approach and some people won’t like it. I just try to make what I would want to watch, and what would have helped me. Enjoy getting out!

During times where the rule of 3rds is overused and people tend to put their subjects on the corners of the frame, using the technique you mention can make your photos stand out. I love to use central framing too, especially when I have leading lines pointing towards my subject! Great video Sam, keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback! I think it’s such a simple but effective technique. Really appreciate your support. 🤙🏻

As usual, great video and great topic Sam ! I did take a few photos with center framing and the rule of thirds framing and I always ended up liking more of the center framing ones. This video made me understand why that is so. Thanks for the clarity !

Glad it was useful! Composition is often taken too seriously I think. As long as you’re liking your photo, then roll with it 🤙🏻

Great video and great topic to cover, offers a great perspective on what seems at the surface to be a fairly simple composition technique, but there’s a lot more to it.
Excited to watch your channel grow

Hey thank you! I realized there wasn’t a lot on RUclips about central framing, or anywhere really, and it’s a super useful compositional consideration. I’m biased because I use it a lot, but I don’t see why it’s often discouraged or ignored haha. Thanks for the support and I’m stoked to have you around 🤙🏻

@@SamBugas totally, a lot of RUclips and social media advice over complicates some of the skills required. Sometimes just need to take a step back and look at things from a different angle to see that the basics can be just as effective.
Awesome thanks for taking the time to make this content and engage with us :)
