No idea why I am so invested in this Canadian football channel
Those damn Canadians have got me hooked to their terrible football which I don't like but can't stop watching
@@favouramoul Yeah some of the fouls are crazy, but what is worse is the fact most of them are apparently only yellow cards! Career ending tackles as well, I LOVE IT.
@@favouramoul i can imagine this is how they will be playing in the world cup this year
@@anthonylong9067 did you watch any of their qualification games?
Haha same I’m not even from Canada
The level of refereeing once again absolutely shocking. How #8 didn't even get a yellow for the first tackle is outrageous. That's in my mind a straight red considering how hard he goes into it with studs up. Extremely dangerous, thankfully there was no injury in that situation.
refs are so afraid to make big decisions like that for some reason. could've broken his ankle easily
Bro no cap, why don't you reach out to League1 Ontario and ask them if you can be the one who records the games? The replays they post are from erratic angles and the quality is abysmal. If you were the one editing and recording games they would have a much bigger fan base!
Good game being filmed by IST big up
Low-key miss the 5-6 aside tournament tho but nevertheless great content ❤️
No wonder the Canadian national team has been doing so well! This was more enjoyable than watching highlight from my team (El Tri).
you are joking, right? The level of teams in this match is at best 5th tier in medium sized European country (or that I might be wrong - maybe just little bit higher than Sunday league). Misplaced passes, really crude technique on average, game laboured and painful to watch (poor refereeing is different story). Canadian team plays nice football thanks to all the players competing in Europe and MLS getting visibly better, not because of 5 tier level bedrock football.
Get that dude in the stands a tissue!!! Sensitive little fella.
Class channel
Credit to the green at 8:00. Could have made a meal of that but got straight up and went for the ball again.
Why make a meal of that? no reason whatsoever
@@glenaronsson9365 I mean it probably hurt like hell hearing that collision so he could have stayed down and got the opponent into trouble but he didn't so I was commending the fact he got up and got on with the game because it's a refreshing sight?
If i get hit in the box, i am going down. Like 98% of the time when you try to continue after getting clabbered, especially in the penalty box, it amount to nothing. The goalkeeper just scoops the ball up.
At least with falling over, when there IS contact, you might get a penalty. An advantage for your team.
I don't condone diving when there is no contact.
Should have made a meal of it, that’s a red card tackle. Only reason ref thinks it’s okay is #1 because he’s shit and #2 because the guy gets up so quickly
Nice Video
This ref is legit trash and his passive behavior put everyone on the pitch in danger. Not even a yellow in the tackle at the 8-minute mark? and the foul at the 4.30-minute mark was borderless a red card. No intention to play the ball, just fouling in an aggressive way, it could be a perfectly a red card
true the 8 mins mark doesn't make sense that there wasn o card, maybe not red but definitely a yellow it seems like studs but from that angle isn't good...
Keep up the good work! (it's Reigning Champs btw)
thanks
This referee is absolutely shocking, let the game get out of hand, poor officiating
I dislike that #8 for yellow team scored. After two reckless studs up tackles he shouldn’t have been on the field
Absolutely reckless and out-of-control tackle at the 8-minute mark.
Think it should have been a straight red?
Surely a yellow at least...
Two footed tackle with studs showing into the shins, has to be a straight red every day of the week.
@@danielmognon5407 it wasn't two footed though, i agree it was definitely wreckless leading with the studs up with that much intended force but luckily the full contact was with the trailing legs... biggest part is the player on the receiving end got up wanting to play on fast, referee definitely took that into account with the decision... if he rolled around stayed down actually visibly injured likely would have been much different. From watching a lot of PL this year: in the PL, 1) if the referee gave that as a yellow, VAR *might* not over-rule it considering the above lack of dangerous contact, they wouldn't deem it as an clear and obvious error.. 2) if there was no card, VAR *might* have or have not suggested to look at it but considering there was no actual contact from the studs up portion of the tackle.. 3) but then again, its also been given as a red card in the PL recently just from the wreckless intent alone.. it all depends on the scenario and referee team of that day really.
That’s 1000% a red card not even a question. Studs exposed, high force, high speed, above the ankle contact… bye bye
I am interested in filming my local leagues in the style you present..can I email you some basic questions I have for more info?
istsoccervideo@gmail.com
Studs up tackle = straight red
#8 on yellow is an invincible striker in this league
I counted 4 handwrapped Benzemas across both teams
crisp audio XD
Toronto's goalkeeper be like: Bro , I'm not even in squad , my friend told me to help him in gates . . .
Ref's bad at his job. Bro is making calls like he just started watching football, definitely never played himself ever..
That First goal was a goal he was totally onside, I hate people like that.
Can anyone tell me if this is a high standard? From the UK so not sure on how the Canadian leagues work.
this is the highest level of amateur soccer in Canada, it's considered a pro-am league and is in tier 3 of the soccer pyramid. Players on the Canadian national team (men's and women's) have played in this league. This league is only in Ontario, there are equivalent leagues in Quebec and British Columbia. The referees in this league range from up and coming elite district referees to National (and occasionally a FIFA official).
Green team goalkeeper is shocking.
That 8:03 tackle was a red card. The yellow team played so dirty from the beginning of the game. The refs are so afraid to show the card.
En México las canchas son de tierra y lodo xd ptm
wtf was the ref doing
Yes, the referee could have managed the game better. However, the players have very crappy attitudes. It also seems that most teams in this league have agitators in the stands.
For those bashing Canadian soccer, I see crap like this all over the world, amateur and semi-pro alike.
Yeah it’s nothing to do with location, as someone who’s reffed amateur games in England you get just as much abuse from the players, and the players are just as disgusting and rude - most of the time they’re great but you always get the odd few who let their team down. However, the fans in American and Canadian amateur football are so much worse than other countries, they spout out just as much abuse as the players and they have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about, so that’s the only bashing I’ll give to western football - they need much nicer fans.
@@girthyyobo1554 It's not western soccer (Yeah, I know, go nuts, but just remember, of the nine countries that call it that, one is Ireland; three are commonwealth countries; and four are former British colonies.); it's just western sports. I officiate both this and basketball in the U.S., and I can tell you the fans are just as bad in both, though obviously they do have a better idea what they're talking about in basketball. It's not soccer culture, just American culture - restraint is not something this hemisphere emphasizes.
Not great refereeing but not the worst either. Definitely could've handed out more cards to show more control. I was wondering if his pockets had been sewn shut.
ONLY THING i HAVE ever known about(bout) canada is that they have free weed ... now i am watching 2 or third leuage soccer here in norway... its a weird world
Is this a recreational men’s league.
looks like it! poor level, but the make faces pretending it's a serious league..
Why is every team called Toronto 😭😭😭
Really poor referee, poor decision after Decision
That referee shouldn't be refereeing at a level like that
16:38 incredible sprint from the referee there.
Can someone explain the culture of asking the referee to caution their opponents? 'That's gotta be a yellow, ref'. If that happened in England local leagues there'd be a punch-up. Also, why do you all barrack the referees so much? The amount of misplaced passes, faulty control and missed chances aren't anything to do with the referee. It's weird.
Man that was some really bad officiating.
Ref was terrible
Better team won on the day. Green keeper had a shocking let in, but also kept out 3 more goals. Lots of whining and poor sportsmanship by the green team.
Are you stealing the filmed videos from the actual League 1 ontario channel?
nope. have you seen their videos? It's a little different they use VEO cams
@@ISTSoccer and those cams suck from my experience
This ref is actually awful and I havent even got to the stud up tackle yet. At 7:10 that is an instant yellow and at 2:22 green decked yellow before the ball even got to the them right in front of the ref and it wasn't called
Don't know why everyone is crying, ref was decent, other then the potential red (yellow at minimum) everything was decent.. well done ref, you guys don't get paid enough anyways, last thing you need is couch potatoes criticizing you when they don't have the balls to be refs.
Missing one of those decisions is EXACTLY why the referee is going to lose control and challenges will remain dangerous and players will not be protected. First hand the referee is there to protect the players, not let horrendous tackles go unpunished.
@@tpahkasalo thats why i said potential red.. but 100% would have been yellow/red if the player stayed down, he got up instantly wanting to play on, influenced the refs decision for sure
Canadian refs all stink🤣
Decent fest
