Best generation of cars. They weren't faster but nothing beats those engine sounds

Worst generation easily. Low revving engines, tons of electronics to keep the cars cornering like on rails. Thank god it ended.

@@M3LKSstop saying bullshit, electronics are essential in the driver adaptation to driving a race car, the sounds were simply the best and the low reving made them so fast that they still beat the 1600cc wrc cars from the early to mid 2010's

The scene with the Seat Cordoba WRC is from Austrian Rallye Legends 2014. This event is scheduled for 24-26 September this year and it is looking good for it to actually happen as the first rally in Austria despite the pandemic. Unfortunately the stage from this shot isn't used anymore.

The First generation of wrc were Born in 97.. Escort wrc impreza wrc corolla wrc.. and then from 98 and 99 206 wrc Skoda Octavia wrc Cordoba wrc Focus wrc. The car in the video like the c4 ecc are from 2004 to... For sure not First generation

My World Rally Car categorisation is this:
1st gen 1997-2010 - 2.0L engine
2nd gen 2011-2016 - 1.6L engine 33mm restrictor
3rd gen 2017-2022 - 1.6L engine 36mm restrictor

@@GHrallyemotion ok 😀 for me Is different because First generation are wrc without eletronic helps elettronic diff paddle shift ecc so 97 to half 99. But Is ok and nice video anyway 😀
