The best joke i have heard is of the American tourists at Balmoral, who were stood with the Queen but had no clue it was actually her. The tourists asked 'have you ever seen the queen' to which the Queen replied: 'No, but he sees her all the time' (pointing to her bodyguard who was standing next to her).

They then asked to have her take their picture with the officer, lol. Eventually they took hers as well and left never knowing who she was. She turned to the officer and said she'd love to be a fly on the wall when someone sees the pictures and tells them! Lol.
@@catherineshaw1122 Funny but are you sure the second part actually happened? The story predates mobile phones so the tourists would have had to use real cameras. Nice addition to an already humourous story if true.
@@Denise-vn8wz the man who experienced the whole situation told the story including the part about the photos and I never said anything about phones? I said they asked to have their pictures taken. You know, cameras? The things millions of us still use every day, lol? You are aware that people brought cameras with them on vacations and took these things called pictures before mobile phones, right? Why did you assume I meant cell phones? Are you a zoomer or something?

Our dear Queen lived a wonderful life, she more than anyone else kept her promise to serve the country, commonwealth and its people for all her life. A promise kept so completely that we should be inspired and honour her greatness. That greatness in being the perfect monarch, and yet e person who gave so much love to her family and so much dignity to out great nation, Words fail me due to the grief of the loss. But pride and happiness fill me at all she achieved in her glorious life. If there was one thing that made me proud to be British it was Her Majesty the Queen. I'm bless to have meet her in person twice in my life, 1st time when she visited Texas and during a military Leadership tour in England. We did not even know that she was watching the whole time, she just showed up when we were on a break and just started talking to all of us. I'm going to miss the Queen, Long Live The Queen.

Her Majesty was unparalleled in dedication and was the finest example of someone who is committed to serve their land not only upon royal regulations, but also with a great heart. The boon brought to us during her reign will never be forgotten for many generations to come. The United Kingdom is very lucky to have Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the throne, so does the British Commonwealth. We now see His Royal Majesty Charles III as our noble King. Although He has replaced Her Majesty on the throne, no one will ever be able to replace her in our hearts.

I simply loved her! Her sense of humor is beyond words. In these clips you can never sense when she will catch someone off guard. My favorite is when she approached a guard and he told her that he had been in service for 27 years and her reply was priceless! Also brings me to tears, but good tears!! Please keep these coming! My family left England in 1620, but there's a part of me that has always felt more British than American. Perhaps the queen is at least partly responsible for that. I have always admired her sense of duty, her humility, and her perseverance. She was the epitome of grace and class -- qualities that too many of today's leaders can't quite seem to grasp.

She was Crowned almost ten years before I was born. I’ve always known about her and the Monarchy as in my day we were taught British History. I was not one of her ‘subjects’ but given the chance would have loved to have met her! And I’m schooled in how you handle yourself in that situation.. Respect never goes out of style……

My favourite story about The Queen was shared by one of her former Royal Protection Officers in an interview. Her Majesty had been walking in Balmoral with her RPO, and they met a group of American tourists who didn't recognise her. They got chatting to her and asked "if she'd ever met the Queen". She pointed to her RPO and said "He has, but I haven't!"
It went on from there even, lol. One asked her to take their picture with the man she was walking with, then took one with her, never knowing who she was. Once they had parted ways the Queen said, "I'd love to be a fly on the wall when they show people those pictures and someone tells them." LOLOL. Me too!
