I wonder if the unfun-looking prayer was /why/ stonehorns lost their ward save. Like, they decided to make this prayer the definitive beastclaw thing, but couldn't think of anything for it to do other than a 5+ ward, and then they were like 'but then the signature beastclaw monster won't benefit from this great new feature of beastclaw raiders we designed! lets turn it's ward into something else so they can still synergize."
I wasn't super excited by this article, just because of how much their rules resemble the previous version, like there weren't any surprises. But also it all looks real good. the 3e fec battletome is great, their 4e rules looking a lot like it, even a slightly toned down version, is a good thing.
I'd like to see some dwarfs in chaos (it never made sense to me that only humans worship the dark gods, everybody fell to chaos) but I don't necessarily think they need their own army.
I don't know why morbheg knights are hitting on 3+. They're not more elite than the crypt guard. They should be on 4+ to hit for consistency, and if the devs didn't think that hit hard enough just give them another attack. not really a complaint, though, they look good.
About the possible new destruction army. If they ever bring Chorfs back. They could throw them there. All the "destructive industry" theme would be a cool take on it. I personally have never beem too interested in them, but they could be made interesting. Big ass cannons and armored little dudes and Lamasus with an ancient assyrian paint has potential. Almost like an evil version of Cities of Sigmar.

The FEC nurf was getting BCR’s best thing 😂
re 5 vs. 6 mortarchs - I think they aren't counting arkhan, due to being temporarily dead-dead.

I agree, the get mentioned in the codex but don't need a whole army
