I think you would have fun with the Stay a Spell series if you haven't checked them out. It's a self-published series following each of six witch sisters as they meet their supernatural (werewolf, vampire, or grim) romantic partners. Urban fantasy, modern day New Orleans, campy/cheesy, _steamy_ and fun. (Also they have adorable pets including a very dapper rooster who wears geeky bowties.) The first one is about a werewolf who is cursed so he lost his ability to transform, the wolf inside him is starting to manifest into a voice inside his head that has conversations with him (think Tom Hardy and Venom), so he comes to the witches for help.
Just feel so awesome to get a notification that my fav booktuber posted. And also soke spooky book recommendations is a massive plus.. Thanks a lot Brittany 🤍
I’m actually trying to plan a mass unboxing of all the boxes I’ve been hoarding! So, potentially soon- I just know the editing process will be terrible
Haunting Adeline added to my list. You talk about a dark romance and I read it lol. Also discovery of witches is such a fun story. I will admit I remember getting a tad bored in book 2 but then it picks up again. I hope you read it. The romance in it is just so good. 😍
I love your hair!!! That sounds like a ton of books. But a lot of them sound really good. I almost got Sign Here for BOM but got Thistlefoot instead. 🙂
PLEASE watch the Discovery of Witches TV show instead. It's so beautiful and well done. The books read like that cringe, really bad, author-insert fan fiction. Like she literally talks through every outfit change, page long descriptions of wine, every workout routine she does... it even does that thing where a new conflict is introduced and solved each chapter (including deus ex machina resolutions that appear from thin air) because you can't expect readers to keep up between chapter uploads. In the show they flesh out the world and the cast and the plot so much more that I assumed the novels were competent. (I adore dark academia and vampire/witch stories *cough* Buffy *coughcough*, and the house is such a fantastic character, so I guiltily still love the show. But the books were 😬)
I ALWAYS read The Lantern's Ember by Colleen Houck. It's very much HALLOWEEN vibes and not spooky. And has quite the love triangle. It's just simple and cute and just gives me a big smile every Halloween. And every October I have a hard time reading cause all I wanna do is read this book! (But I always save it for Halloween)
Haunting Adeline intrigued me too! I just finished Babel and absolutely loved it! I also recommend the Spirit Engineering if you love Titanic and seances! And welcome back! it's been a while! Have you changed your hair? It looks great!
I wanted to love a Discovery of Witches because the plot is right up my alley, but the main characters are full ass adults that have high school problems in their relationship and it is so frustrating that I DNF’d the second book 😩 I definitely want to look into Fang though it sounds so cute! Happy Halloween 👻 🎃
Haven't seen beyond season 1 because I made the mistake of reading the whole series and absolutely hating them 😂but I definitely think you should give the show a chance if you like the world and plot. The show fixes a lot of the juvenile writing and situations and fleshes out characters/plots/world-building so much more. I was shocked to learn one of my fav characters who has a lot of backstory and intrigue in the show _literally_ drops out of the sky as her introduction in the books so they can create a conflict out of nowhere.
if you like Addams Family i assume that you are going to see Wednesday in Netflix when it is released!! and i love yor reccommendations!! kisses from Argentina!!
I have read Home before dark. It's not horror but I is a really good and fast read. Here are some more spóoky reads. The children on the hill my Jennifer McMahon, The Overnight Guest Heather Gudwnkauf, in cold blood by Truman capote the secret history by Donna Tartt pretty Girls Karin Slaughter. I could love some spooky books.

I love how you tell us about books. It's such a conversationally way between friends, not like you're just reading a synopsis.
It’s definitely my favorite way to talk about them, so I’m glad it works ☺️
You're absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!! I love your videos you're my favorite booktuber!!!! So beautiful

Thanks for the recommendations. I think R. L. Stine's Fear Street books are great books to read around Halloween.
Peyote Trip, right? Sounded like Parody Trip lol. That was my BOTM pick also.

Haunting Adeline is VERY dark, just be aware.
I don't care for, nor do I celebrate Halloween, but I still love a good dark and spooky book, so thanks for the recs! 🖤
Hello platinum! Or at least I hope so, or I am very tired😂
It's giving village witch vibes✨️🖤
Definitely platinum but my purple conditioner made it lavender at the bottoms hahaha
I love your hair!!! That sounds like a ton of books. But a lot of them sound really good. I almost got Sign Here for BOM but got Thistlefoot instead. 🙂
I actually was really intrigued by thistlefoot while doing all my research! The cover is amazing

That gives me hope for the series!! The book definitely left me underwhelmed, so I think it’ll be fun to compare the two!
I really need to look into most of these books. I have Babel and am very excited to read that soon..like next week soon 🤣🤣
I ALWAYS read The Lantern's Ember by Colleen Houck.

I’m glad you liked babel! And I did change my hair, thank you for noticing 😁
@@BrittanytheBibliophile welcome ❤
I hope you enjoy what you read this month 😊🎃
Thank you 🤍🤍
If you are looking for middle grade book I would recommend Hooky.
Fangs is a quick and fun read.

Ooo I love a good Manga! Than you ☺️

Thank you for this! And I’d have to agree after finishing home before dark that it’s not nearly as much of a horror as I thought it would be
👋🏼🖤🍂✨
Is been a month ago since last post? 😭
Don't worry, I don't plan on making you wait nearly that long for my next video 🖤
