Over the 5 years Arthur smith has been an OC his #2 WRs have averaged only 40 targets, 500 yards and 2 TDs all season. You’re telling me Van Jefferson, Cordarrellle Patterson, Quez Watkins or CA3 can’t accomplish that? WR is not a Must Have pick. I would like to see them draft a WR like Rice or Mccaffery in the later rounds.

No center in first round…we need bookend tackles and move Broderick back to the left side…several centers to grab in 3rd rd
Would they be better than Mason Cole though? We had guys with center experience on the roster last season and they didn't replace him even though he played terribly.
@@jasonwood8023 they felt Cole was a leader of the line that kinda outweighed his production last season specially with all the injuries and stuff but Herbig did play some snaps at Center

I honestly think they are going for o-tackle and I think their going to use the second round pick to trade fir a big receiver or even our third round pick we will trade. I think if we get someone to match Jones as a o tackle we don't need a first round center. I mean just my opinion but I think they will rather have a number one game changer receiver than a game changer center rn.
I’d go tackle first round. Then work on center/guard and wr for 2nd and 3rd. 4th dl or wr and corner/safety for last 3
With both Wilson and Fields holding on to the ball longer and getting sacked the most in the league, does it really matter who is playing tackle with these 2 guys that love to run around and play back yard style football? I want Cooper Dejean and I'm putting him at strong safety. I can see him being solid in a few years. No more having a different strong safety ever year. Center in round 2 Frazier and WR Corley in round 3.
People think this draft is super deep but it’s only deep in the trenches. Skill position players are bare, after pick 84 talent level drops significantly

Dark horse pick is jonny Wilson.. you can't teach hight, he has an advantage every time he lines up. He can block and if you double team pick-ins he'll eat you up all day

Fashnu and Fuaga are would be the only tackles I’d take over C . Fashnu would immediately supplant Dan Moore . We need to get over the Broderick needs to be a LT his pass blocking is still his weak point and he excelled at RT at the end of the season . Why mess w a good thing . If we did we should still do everything possible to move up early in the second round and grab Frazier or JPJ including giving up picks next year . A great C makes the whole line better . A great C calls the protections and hold his anchor so the guards can help the tackles . A great C is the spine of the line and nothing works with a fucked up spine . Watch Mason Coles tape for instance . With a great C and really good guard you can have average talent at the other three positions including both tackles , and still dominate . Steeler fans should know this . Its like a multiplier of talent especially a smart , athletic beast like the three big ones this year . C is a line enhances as salt is a flavor booster.
No chance I’m taking Worthy over Pearsall. Ricky is one of the best route runners in this draft and he’s an athletic freak with plenty of speed. Worthy is more complete than someone like John Ross but I just don’t trust these speed freaks in the league unless their name is Tyreek Hill.

It’s annoying me that y’all stuck on center man. Stuck at center gonna reach in a draft cus he refuses to read the tea leaves. The Steelers aren’t drafting a ducking CENTER at 20 unless it was Barton I gaurentee you.
Exactly, the only way we get a center with our first pick is if we trade down, and even then, I don't see it.

I just don't get all this talk about not grabbing a center in round one by steelers fans and others. Other teams will draft one without any problems in round one! I guarantee you that if the Steelers pass on JPJ, the first team after them will grab him in a heartbeat and most of you act as if you don't know this. Muth had concussions in college and in the pros and many of you have no problem with that. JPJ did not have any concussions last year and grabbed all the awards for the center position. How many sacks did he give up last year? I don't know of any that I can think of.
The Green experiment did not work! Cole was ineffective last year. Get a center who played it at a high level and be done with it.
If the Steelers did not learn from that experiment, and think they are going to get a guy who can switch over to center is a stretch in the NFL. They always talk about position flexibility. It works in a pinch at times, but it is better to let your players play their natural, experienced position from in college. Tomlin does that just a little too much of that for my liking and the results for the last few years bears this out.
No losing seasons, I get it, but maybe they need to try a different approach and get players that have played their positions in college, etc., and ensure they remain in their natural positions. They lucked out with Jones, but he was the exception. I heard talk of bringing Cole back, but there is a reason why he is not on the team and have not been signed elsewhere as of this writing.
If a really good tackle for the right side of the line is there, then take him in round 2, if there is a really good one and if not grab Pearsal, and then and get your D line help in the third round if he is available.
Too many mocks, too many NFL pundits. Too many of many things and all they are doing is guessing. No team is going to help you overcome your deficiencies while at the same time wanting to kick your teeth in.
This is competition folks! Not Madden GM play games. Lots of money, lots of players. Draft to win and get players you truly believe will help you win games.
