    Teepads are the most important part of disc golf.
    Ive been playing since 1989. In Massachusetts we have so many course that has 20 year old teepads. And baskets have changed 3 times.

    • @caseysmith544
      @caseysmith544 5 месяцев назад

      Yep, same here in South Dakota many courses are turning 20 years old (only a few not) yet baskets were replaced/modified at least 2 times only on a few where city cheaper/improper quicker build say one in Souix Falls in Tuthill Park all lumpy, one homebuilt course like original one in Rapid City Omaha Park1979 in have been replaced in 2000's or 2010's on tee, same for a State Rec area where a course one of oldest outside Souix Falls/Rapid City is on Lake Richmond was replaced because original designer he made each pad of Cement not concrete so pads got smoother and smoother over time, not ideal for disc golf and very slick in winter.

    My only concern about the tee pads is now the front of the tee pad will be elevated on a lot of holes. I just watched Conrad literally almost kill himself a few times on tee pads at Jonesboro. I was scoring his card and he commented on how shook up he was after almost eating shit and flying off of a concrete wall 😢

  • @quaxie

    Would like pads at every course. Turf is a great choice if you can't have concret. The low none filled turf is the best that's what we look for from old schools to make new local pads.
    The celebration and trophy thing is annoying and always feels rushed and the TD tripps over everword and is always out of breath.

  • @Stradivarius6288
    @Stradivarius6288 5 месяцев назад

    Is the DGPT going to bring this turf into courses that already have brushed concrete or other turf? Or will they force conversion to this to host an event? With this done, lugging baskets around wouldn't be crazy.. and while you're at it, make the baskets smaller because putting is "too easy." Multiple courses for an event.. 36 baskets and 36 teepads shipped around? Nah, this will be passed on to courses as a requirement.. buh-bye to established courses that don't make money or have money backing them ever getting on camera again.

    So dont get your disc signed if you're a tattar fan and middle age? That would removed 70% of the fans. Tee pad turf looks good hope it works! @@schizoid21 No it's physics, and for everyone's throw it is EXACTLY as it should be. Players just need to learn to put on them, that is one of the reasons they have practice rounds! Each basket, even on the same course or of the same brand, will be different. There is NO way to make every basket react exactly the same way, there's too many uncontrollable differences(weather and environment being two big ones). I guess we could play in the vacuum of space but that brings a whole new set of challanges(challenges even)!

He even openly stated he's tired of disc golf. Personally, I'm tired of hearing him complain so much. He's annoying already and that's before he starts complaining about every little thing. If your building a product specifically for disc golf why call them tee pads, I have yet to see someone tee up a disc and drive it with a club. Don't you think disc golf if large enough to stand on its own and loose all the association to Golf (ball Golf). The copying of golf is why I avoided the sport for 10 years, as it turns out I enjoy it more than golf.

  • @YoungWizdum
    @YoungWizdum 5 месяцев назад

    I get there is limited amount of content to talk about in disc golf but isn't there a lot of hypocrisy in some of the content here? Just shortly after starting the video (then i came here to comment) there was a comment about calling out middle aged males standing in line for Kristin Tattar, and a call out for the broadcast team trying to build some sort of hype for the FPO final round. All i've heard lately is the FPO needs more eyeballs, more fans, and more excitement around it but now that there is a superstar that brings those things to the FPO the media immediately calls out her fans for being excited for her and excited to meet her. I've also heard many negative comments (maybe not from this channel) about how the announcers say tournaments are over too early in the round and how they need to build drama for the final round but here they tried that (by bringing up a fact of a similar situation that already occured in the past) and they get criticism for that as well. I guess thats the point of media is to talk about anything and everything, but so much media coverage really makes you see most of these situations are damned if you do and damned if you don't. I guess pick your poison.

    I want to see basket's be standardized. Chain configuration, materials and finish should be identical. Also basket elevation should be the same. No more shorty, sunken or towering high baskets. This would allow players to really dial in their putts and make for more consistent scoring.

    • @chad7531
      @chad7531 5 месяцев назад

      Yes baskets should be standardized as far as their fabrication goes. I think calling for height standardization; however, is totally ridiculous. Putting is way too easy as is and having the height being changed for different baskets helps alleviate that just a tiny bit.
