I think we should have 3 days of no internet EVERY MONTH - so people pray and review their inner souls and become better people, time to rectify. Remember keep helping other people in need...
You know, that's a good idea, for another reason, too: I shuddered to hear Father say it could happen. So, perhaps it might be good to prepare - by voluntarily denying myself the internet for 3-day periods, as you suggest, every month. Coram Deo!
Yes, however it will be something we haven't experienced before and it will be a challenge...like my mom experienced in world war II. It WAS scary because her life was threatened. She just said it was purely miraculous so don't be complacent either.

But the grace of God has given me no fear, i believe i am ready for all, id like to say even martyrdom. Common misconception, Padre Pio actually didnt mention it. That's not to doubt its authenticity. Many Saints have mentioned similar 3 days of darkness.

Father, I actually had my priest come over for dinner in early February and he blessed all of my really big candles, a bunch of salt, and olive oil. He had never blessed candles before, so I asked him to bring his big book of blessings. He was going to use a general blessing but I said, "No Father, there is a candle blessing, way in the back". Sure enough he found it along with the blessing for olive oil, which prompted me to run and go get my olive oil too
And, don't literally look outside. Cover windows so nothing can see in or out. Prepare an area for prayer with blessed candles. If a loved one, child, parent, sibling, animal is left outside, do not answer the door or look out. Do not let them in. It is not them at the door. Be prepared in your heart and soul. If you read my comment above it is long but as short as I could get I could have written so much more. You are very observant my friend. Abt 6yrs ago I found out a cross melted together at ground zero. I had never heard of that actually when I was praying I was told to look up the info once again my 💜 sank cuz I knew what it meant and could not believe my eyes. Forgive me but I’m just really tired so this is the best I can do for now. ask if we are all made in His image. Why did He create man and woman and not man and man? Why is it that the Holy Spirit is referred to as a she/ a female in the Old Testament in the book of wisdom ? Then in the New Testament she is now referred as a He? And now why is our Holy Mother Mary is called the seat of Wisdom. We call the Church Holy Mother Church which is the mystical body of Christ. The Church is protected buy the Holy Spirit we call the Holy Mother Church who protects Her Sons teachings. The strongest bond of love in a family is normally between Mother and Child. She would rather die than to see her child hurt. And look at is happening in the Church right now. In the book of revelation Mary is the one that pours out the wrath of God. They do say “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned “ you think we have not hurt Her Son. Kinds of like momma bear thing. Just contemplate that for a couple days. A little hint not trying to trick you I’m just trying to lead you into contemplate. why is marriage and family so important and serious to God?You have to have a Man and a Women to Produce a Child? Some yrs ago I kept dreaming about 3 days of darkness (had never heard or read about it honestly) I would open the door and not see anyone ,then looked up at the sky trying to see some shed of light.The intense feeling of doom was so overpowering.

@@dailybread300 Yes, it is a tragedy that we as the faithful cannot receive Our Lord under the normal form ( Host & Wine) right now, but I truly believe God is permitting this for a reason. God made us both in the "physical" and "spiritual" form....and in the "physical" form He, by His very design, has placed limitations and restrictions on it (e.g. disease, illness, death, etc). In order not to further spread this pandemic, Church Authorities deemed it prudent to suspend Masses (and thus not receiving the Eucharist in it's normal form). Is this a huge trial for us faithful Catholics? Why yes, certainly. This also happened during Lent (which I think was not a coincidence). It is our duty as faithful Catholics not to complain, but don our "sackcloths" and offer it up for the reparation and conversion of sinners. I truly believe after this trial is over, our churches will be filled to capacity....not just with the faithful, but those who were luke-warm. Those who took for granted, ignored, or just down right didn't believe they needed to attend Mass (and receive Our Lord) are being brought back to their senses and to God. Again, it's a huge trial for everyone involved, but if we handle it correctly, God will bless us abundantly. +God Bless+

God has taught us that we are all one. You don’t have to think about God to be part of God. One of the blessings of hard times is that people do turn their eyes to God.

This is an assumption. We should understand why normal lighting will not work or be effective. In my opinion the prophecy is somewhat literal, I think what she is prophesying is a real punishment from God that at the time was in store for us and may still be in store for us. I mean this because many other saints have prophesied the same thing happening and I don't remember reading anyone saying it was a metaphorical darkness or a volcanic darkness. However, we have the opportunity through our prayer, sacrifice, penance, and acts of love to change the severity of such a punishment or postpone it. One the angels at Fatima told the children that "Jesus and Mary are attentive to your prayers," so let us break out our rosaries and pray!
Yes, I too, believe it will be a literal darkness upon the entire Earth, but it's up to God as He sees fit to bring it about. He is the Creator of all things, so if He chooses to use an element of His making to do it (volcanoes, meteorites, etc) or a snap of His fingers, the end result stays the same. I'm not sure why it's taboo to speak on approved prophecised chastisements. We see the importance of the rosary and Divine Mercy, which come from private revelation, but when it comes to possible chastisements (usually given us as a call back to holiness) they are usually scoffed at. I heard fro other more traditional priests that blessing of candles is not done the same way as when Padre Pio was alive...priests use to exorcise the candle first and then bless it. God help us.

Hi Fr. Mark. I enjoy all of your short teachings. It's enough to keep me thinking and want to learn more. I heard about this three days of darkness back in 1980. I was only a teenager at the time. Over the course of my life time, I have prepared for this. Especially having blessed candles and window coverings to shut out any view of the evil one. Blankets too, because it will be dark and very cold. Prepared food will be important as well. I'm still working on that. I find that people freak out when we loose electricity here in Michigan for even a few hours. When this happens it makes me think of the three days of darkness. I question then, how are people going to handle the complete darkness. Many prayers and the Rosary will be important to know by heart. I feel we may see this come to fruition in our life time. I would rather be prepared than not. Thank you for all your words of wisdom.

I have read that they need to be beeswax candles... so, does that just mean wax candles instead of soy (or plastic)? I think beeswax candles are something specific that the Church uses, though...?

When we hear a prediction like this, and there have been many saints who have predicted the 3 days of darkness apart from Blessed Anna Marie T. , but, while we are not to be overwhelmed by fear, if one does not consider this to be literal, then why advise about the "blessed Candles" . There are enough protesters against things mystical, which is why, in our modern age, the faithful are loosing their belief in the EUCHARISTIC REAL PRESENCE. It is very wise and smart to invest in a few long lasting candles sold online at Canadian and USA Catholic stores and get them blessed . . . and then laugh at oneself, then to take things with a grain of salt. What kind of faith is that ? if we are to say the Rosary during the time of darkness, then go the whole thing and have the candles ready and also do not go our when the darkness happens. Other saints such as Padre Pio, advise to read holy books and to pray and trust in God´s MERCY. Best of all is to always make sure that one is in the State of Grace and receive the sacraments, if one can receive the sacraments now, that priests are not allowed to administer the sacraments to the dying ? During wartime, holy priests were evident in their heroism and trust in Almighty God. Jesus said not to be afraid of the first death, but, to be afraid of the second death ! . . . meaning HELL which very few priest today speak about because they are afraid to scare the faithful. Jesus was not afraid and mentions the "lake of fire" many , many times in the New Testament gospels.

June, I had often wondered about this 3 days of darkness. Like other spiritual things, it may simply be a type of spiritual metaphor. The seven lamp stands spoken about in the Bible are present on the altar and some near it...at The Mass. My thoughts were that the blessed candies are not literal candles, but the light of Christ in your heart, your own altar to God (a.k.a. State of grace). 3 days of darkness itself may not be literal but a completion of time, a time where the church, the light of Christ will be eclipsed. 3 biblically speaking means a completion...also to describe the intensity of something. (Not just holy, but “holy, holy holy”). Beeswax is also important- up until they changed the Mass that was the only form of candle one can use for Mass. Same with the wafer at communion- there are specifications and strict guidelines that say how the wheat (only wheat) can be processed. To understand this, one must be familiar with the holy spiritual reasons behind everything of The Mass. I say go ahead and get the 100% beeswax candles and get them blessed, but make sure the interior soul is blessed as well. I try to tell people...you REALLY MUST KNOW and be familiar with Holy Scripture to understand The Catholic Faith very well. The coming darkness will deceive all except the few elect, to which scripture speaks even they will be confused by it. had God not “shortened the time”. This means it will be very hard to tell if something is evil or not. It will look as though it can be of God- “looking like The Lamb, but speaking as the dragon”.

Father, I actually had my priest come over for dinner in early February and he blessed all of my really big candles, a bunch of salt, and olive oil. He had never blessed candles before, so I asked him to bring his big book of blessings. He was going to use a general blessing but I said, "No Father, there is a candle blessing, way in the back". Sure enough he found it along with the blessing for olive oil, which prompted me to run and go get my olive oil too

If you read my comment above it is long but as short as I could get I could have written so much more. You are very observant my friend. Abt 6yrs ago I found out a cross melted together at ground zero. I had never heard of that actually when I was praying I was told to look up the info once again my 💜 sank cuz I knew what it meant and could not believe my eyes. This is how the Holy Spirit “explained” it to me. Now I want to say something this may sound weird believe me it took me very much surprise so don’t think I have not tested the Spirit I have extensively. The reason the orders from our Mother were not acted on upon Her directions once again was to human arrogance. Finally once again we did not heed and obey our Mother. So coming around to I believe in the 2000 s the Church finally decided to do as were told but it was to late ww2 was never meant to happen if the consecration took place before communism was able to sneak rather salether in right under our noses. Don’t be discouraged please that is not what I’m trying to do at all. All of the sacraments are valid still hell will never prevail over Our Fathers House. He holds to His promises and will always take care of Her and those who follow the proper teachings of Christ ‘s Holy and beloved Church. Forgive me but I’m just really tired so this is the best I can do for now. ask if we are all made in His image. Why did He create man and woman and not man and man? Why is it that the Holy Spirit is referred to as a she/ a female in the Old Testament in the book of wisdom ? Then in the New Testament she is now referred as a He? And now why is our Holy Mother Mary is called the seat of Wisdom. We call the Church Holy Mother Church which is the mystical body of Christ. The Church is protected buy the Holy Spirit we call the Holy Mother Church who protects Her Sons teachings. The strongest bond of love in a family is normally between Mother and Child. @@dailybread300 Yes, it is a tragedy that we as the faithful cannot receive Our Lord under the normal form ( Host & Wine) right now, but I truly believe God is permitting this for a reason. God made us both in the "physical" and "spiritual" form....and in the "physical" form He, by His very design, has placed limitations and restrictions on it (e.g. disease, illness, death, etc). In order not to further spread this pandemic, Church Authorities deemed it prudent to suspend Masses (and thus not receiving the Eucharist in it's normal form). Is this a huge trial for us faithful Catholics? Why yes, certainly. This also happened during Lent (which I think was not a coincidence). It is our duty as faithful Catholics not to complain, but don our "sackcloths" and offer it up for the reparation and conversion of sinners. I truly believe after this trial is over, our churches will be filled to capacity....not just with the faithful, but those who were luke-warm. Those who took for granted, ignored, or just down right didn't believe they needed to attend Mass (and receive Our Lord) are being brought back to their senses and to God. Again, it's a huge trial for everyone involved, but if we handle it correctly, God will bless us abundantly. +God Bless+

This is an assumption. We should understand why normal lighting will not work or be effective. An EMP can explain that and the pestilence can explain the effectiveness of the blessed candles keeping away the darkness. The blood of the lamb from exodus for protection. In my opinion the prophecy is somewhat literal, I think what she is prophesying is a real punishment from God that at the time was in store for us and may still be in store for us. I mean this because many other saints have prophesied the same thing happening and I don't remember reading anyone saying it was a metaphorical darkness or a volcanic darkness. However, we have the opportunity through our prayer, sacrifice, penance, and acts of love to change the severity of such a punishment or postpone it. One the angels at Fatima told the children that "Jesus and Mary are attentive to your prayers," so let us break out our rosaries and pray!
Yes, I too, believe it will be a literal darkness upon the entire Earth, but it's up to God as He sees fit to bring it about. He is the Creator of all things, so if He chooses to use an element of His making to do it (volcanoes, meteorites, etc) or a snap of His fingers, the end result stays the same. I'm not sure why it's taboo to speak on approved prophecised chastisements. We see the importance of the rosary and Divine Mercy, which come from private revelation, but when it comes to possible chastisements (usually given us as a call back to holiness) they are usually scoffed at. When the time comes, those who are living in God's friendship will have nothing to fear for the time has come. I had decided to get closer to God during these times. I pray the sorrowful mysteries of the rosary daily for the conversion of sinners. I also pray the daily rosary. The rosary has brought me closer to the Lord. Needs to go back and read the Holy Bible, and now days the King James version is The Bible most Christan's prefer!! It does mention blessed candles being the only light you will have for 3 days and 3nights!!! It also mentions that if your loved one's aren't there before dark the first night under no circumstances let them in because it won't be them! I hope that whenever my time comes to die or suffer in any way to accept it as a gift for my sanctification and not to fear anything. Everything that happens to us is allowed by God in His loving Providence, and it’s always for our own good though often we can’t see it.

Hi Fr. Mark. I enjoy all of your short teachings. It's enough to keep me thinking and want to learn more. I heard about this three days of darkness back in 1980. I was only a teenager at the time. Over the course of my life time, I have prepared for this. Especially having blessed candles and window coverings to shut out any view of the evil one. Blankets too, because it will be dark and very cold. Prepared food will be important as well. I'm still working on that. I find that people freak out when we loose electricity here in Michigan for even a few hours. When this happens it makes me think of the three days of darkness. I question then, how are people going to handle the complete darkness. Many prayers and the Rosary will be important to know by heart. I feel we may see this come to fruition in our life time. I would rather be prepared than not. Thank you for all your words of wisdom.

I have read that they need to be beeswax candles... so, does that just mean wax candles instead of soy (or plastic)? I think beeswax candles are something specific that the Church uses, though...?

I’ve my candle blessed. And I pray that our Lord would help me and everyone to stay in prayer. I feel I must pray much more but my flesh doesn’t want to pray. I do my rosary, 2 Devine Mercy and St. Bridget’s prayer and that’s all I do for the day. Sometimes I do sit quietly with our Lord. All of these things I do is with our Lord’s helps. For myself I wouldn’t want to pray. It’s a very scary thing!!! Please pray for me and everyone.

I've always prayed that if and when it happens, that families are safely at home with each other. I wish candle blessings were the norm, but unfortunately, it's not ever done here. Years ago i asked for some salt to be blessed and it was like I had three heads, no kidding! May God Himself bless our candles and salt. Amen.

It shakes my confidence in trusting in God’s Providential Care and the Divine Mercy Message revealed by St. Faustina.
When we hear a prediction like this, and there have been many saints who have predicted the 3 days of darkness apart from Blessed Anna Marie T. , but, while we are not to be overwhelmed by fear, if one does not consider this to be literal, then why advise about the "blessed Candles" . There are enough protesters against things mystical, which is why, in our modern age, the faithful are loosing their belief in the EUCHARISTIC REAL PRESENCE. It is very wise and smart to invest in a few long lasting candles sold online at Canadian and USA Catholic stores and get them blessed . . . and then laugh at oneself, then to take things with a grain of salt. What kind of faith is that ? if we are to say the Rosary during the time of darkness, then go the whole thing and have the candles ready and also do not go our when the darkness happens. Other saints such as Padre Pio, advise to read holy books and to pray and trust in God´s MERCY. Best of all is to always make sure that one is in the State of Grace and receive the sacraments, if one can receive the sacraments now, that priests are not allowed to administer the sacraments to the dying ? During wartime, holy priests were evident in their heroism and trust in Almighty God. Jesus said not to be afraid of the first death, but, to be afraid of the second death ! . . . meaning HELL which very few priest today speak about because they are afraid to scare the faithful. Jesus was not afraid and mentions the "lake of fire" many , many times in the New Testament gospels.
So what’s your point? He’s being careful in not upsetting his superiors in preaching hell but at the same time making you understand that he is preaching hell. Get it?

June, I had often wondered about this 3 days of darkness. Like other spiritual things, it may simply be a type of spiritual metaphor. The seven lamp stands spoken about in the Bible are present on the altar and some near it...at The Mass. My thoughts were that the blessed candies are not literal candles, but the light of Christ in your heart, your own altar to God (a.k.a. State of grace). 3 days of darkness itself may not be literal but a completion of time, a time where the church, the light of Christ will be eclipsed. 3 biblically speaking means a completion...also to describe the intensity of something. (Not just holy, but “holy, holy holy”). Beeswax is also important- up until they changed the Mass that was the only form of candle one can use for Mass. Same with the wafer at communion- there are specifications and strict guidelines that say how the wheat (only wheat) can be processed. To understand this, one must be familiar with the holy spiritual reasons behind everything of The Mass. I say go ahead and get the 100% beeswax candles and get them blessed, but make sure the interior soul is blessed as well.
I try to tell people...you REALLY MUST KNOW and be familiar with Holy Scripture to understand The Catholic Faith very well. The coming darkness will deceive all except the few elect, to which scripture speaks even they will be confused by it. had God not “shortened the time”. This means it will be very hard to tell if something is evil or not. It will look as though it can be of God- “looking like The Lamb, but speaking as the dragon”.

Having been a Catholic for over 30 years and steeped in End Times talk due to an overzealous brother and other concerned Catholics, I don't place much stock in such talk. No one knows the day or the hour. I believe that some personalities feed on such talk, be it Medjugorje,, Fatima, Fr. Gruner and such. Yes, the world is in a sorry state. Is there anything new under the sun?

Fr. I learned that after 3 days of darkness. We are entering to new heaven and new earth. Everything will be new. God will sweeps all that are not belong to God in earth. People who survive I during the darkness will enter new earth which God desires to bring back which he gave to Adam from the beginning.
