The fact that Superman in Injustice did everything he did because of Lois' death, he never really did consider listening to others if they brought up what she would've thought about it all. Now that he finally hears it from Lois herself, even if it's not his Lois, at least he finally understood
It's a little too contrived. To walk this path, he'd have already needed rationalizations that supreseded his former morality. And he's already taken the actions that solidify his commitment to his new path despite all opposition, and all thoughts of people that might be disappointed in him. They should've done some proper brainstorming to figure out how to move this Superman's heart... What would it really take to create a better world?
1:55 I thought it was kind of funny how Plastic Man tripped as a result of Superman’s speed when he flew right past them, and I like how they included Superman’s finishing move in this fight scene.
2:40-2:45 always gets me every time. In spite of everything Clark was a victim, and feeling the baby kick inside the alternate version of Lois shows that behind all his power and strength, he's just a man in mourning. And seeing this version of Lois reminds him of the life he could've had, instead of what he has become and that kills him. Those tears, they're a mixture of guilt, shame, sadness, and longing. Here we see not the global dictator who nearly brought the wolrd to it's knees but a man, who lost his entire world, and grieving.
*"In spite of everything, Clark was a victim-"* "WAS" being the operative word. He stopped being a victim in my opinion the moment he used his personal tragedy to justify further tragedy in the name of imposing his "greater good" onto everyone while eliminating anyone (even innocents) who opposed it. Victimhood is not a blank check to make victims of others no matter what you've lost. And Lois' life or even the life of her unborn child was no more or less sacred than any of the other innocent lives Clark's regime took or ruined while disgracing Lois' memory by using it as a shield. Even despite knowing that she wouldn't have agreed with this, Clark forsook everything they both stood for out of pain & fear. And deep down, anyone who truly knew him could see that he was really doing it all along to compensate for his struggles to grieve + an inability to accept that, even with all his power, he cannot control everything (something EVERY version of Superman worthy of the symbol must understand and remember). The moment he forgot this, he ceased to be Superman. Granted, the Injustice comics do a better job fleshing out his dictator arc. But the bottom line of his ends vs. means doesn't change no matter how much context is given. The last ounce of sympathy I had for this version of Superman died with Shazam. The real main time-line Superman would crush Regime Superman. He literally specializes in fighting evil Supermen that don't hold back, like Ultraman, Reichman, Lord Superman. he cracked reality with his fists when he was weaker and hadn’t been around a yellow sun in years. He again cracked reality when he busted out of the phantom zone which is a place where you shouldn’t have any physical influence at all.
Both times he cracked reality, it altered characters in DC like bringing Jason Todd back to life and changing beast boy’s origin.
While depleted of yellow sun radiation and weak, he shot heat vision easily through superman’s shoulder, and also through his hands.
He was fast enough to get out of the speed force that he was trapped in.
He moves planets around the universe much faster than light speed so as to not be detected by the green lantern guardians.
He took on pretty much all the heroes on earth including the super family, Justice league, titans, the whole green lantern corps with ion and the guardians, the whole yellow lantern corps with anti monitor (weak but still a great threat)… he took on everyone and was winning.
