I saw the video of the tesla rebuilt and thats why I am subbed to this channel. The idea of rebuilding a tesla was cool and all but I know enough about my own abilities and that there was no way I could duplicate what this man did.
I think this channel is great. I grew up in the automotive industry, and basically after 12 years in it. I walked away, only to deal with a simple car that cost nothing to operate and run. Watching these brings back all the late nights trying to make something work on a car. Wild times.
I bought one flooded for 24000 usd, Fixed and sold for 116000. Was totaly flooded totaly submerged. cost 18000 in spare parts. Teslas are worth more then Gold in Russia and Ukraine. As import taxes are more then 95000 usd for a Ready to drive tesla its cheaper to diy one.
you forgot to enlighten us that there is no such thing as a salvage title in a lot of EU coutries so.after fixing the teslas you sell them as mint examples driven only to church by your grandma and youre only selling cause she died and the car reminds you of her too much... No, they have to be registered as Fixed Cars. a brand new tesla cost 160k in Russia. but i just bribed the Registration office so it was practically brand new, In eastern europe you dont sell a car just becouse its little broken, im sure that tesla will be on the road for 30 years. i have a volvo from 1974 that is my driver with just 2 owners. we have the mentally that there is more places to repair shoes that coffee places and mc Donalds.
Also we dont have the excuse that my grandmother had it, we say that my uncle Sergei won it on a lottery and he drunk himself to death so its practicaly brand new

I built a salvage flooded P 90. And it needed all four tires. Everything else is mint except for some smoke from the floor sometimes it’s sweet. I just put the whole car in rice and it’s brand new.

crazy observations - My Valiant with a Slant-6 was like that. It served me valiantly for a long time when I had to do a lot of my own work. But the cars I’ve owned in the past 30 years are better and my current rides the best of all. I’ll gladly pay experts to work on them now - I don’t miss busting my knuckles.
Daily Beaters and DIY it may be harder than a regular salvage Tesla but he got it for next to nothing compared to what regular Tesla salvaged costs. So putting in the work was worth it for him. If I were him though I’d just spend another 10k getting Tesla to re register the car rather than buying a x to fix

Hi Car Guru, I pranked my neighbor, put a brick on the accelerator of his Tesla and told him to watch the self driving mode from the outside. He has a lake front property and his car is now unfortunately flooded. He wasn’t too happy about it but I told him I saw this guy on RUclips that fixes flooded Tesla’s. He tried calling his insurance company but they said the car was totaled and wouldn’t pay him since he wasn’t inside the vehicle when it flooded and the vehicle was moving. His wife divorced him (ex wife now) and was able to keep their kids and the lake front property. He is pretty bummed out and started drinking heavily, but he was able to have the Tesla lifted to a parking spot at his new apartment, thankfully since that’s now his only possession since the divorce shenanigans didn’t go his way. Would you please help him out? He said he will pay you as soon as he can find a job and have a vehicle to take him there.
Just tell de guy 1. fill the tesla with rice. 2. When the car starts working again put it in sauna mode 3. now that he has a shitload of steamcooked rice throw a party 4. girls in bikini will join the rice party and will jump into the lake. 5. pick and choose a new girlfriend/ have good memories about the lake again/ and have a good working tesla it is all that simple, no need to go to the hassle like carguru. p.s. sell the tesla to carguru for next to nothing when it fails again at the end of the street (I like his tech videos)
Because many people want a discounted Tesla, because they are cool, people will pay the 30k. While an ordinary 20 year old car is not cool, even though it has been maintained, and is perfectly reliable. I own one like that.

If lots of people want the same thing, the price goes through the roof. This youtuber needs to take a 7th grade economics class.

The inventory is set in stone before ever being presented to the public.
