However, when I was in Hanoi, I visited few money exchange shops just to check if they give me V. Dong in return of INR. They denied. You can carry mix currency also. First, you can finish V.Dong then can exchange dollars if needed. Dollars left will be easily converted to INR or any currency or can use used in future trips.
How do the tour operators contact you in morning for pickup? Over WhatsApp Call or Over normal call? Since we are booking from India using our indian number and in Vietnam indian number will not work.
Hi. They will be in touch with you on WhatsApp message or call both. I was using in touch with them on my Indian WhatsApp number with Vietnam sim internet. I bought the Vietnam sim at the airport and starting using my Indian WhatsApp. For a safer side, you can also share your hotel name and they will directly come at the reception if incase your number is not reachable.

I don't think, you will face any problem. Kyoki aap Hanoi mai 6th ko land kar rahe ho aur apke paas 6th ka visa hai. To koi problem nahi hogi. Aap ek baar Airlines ko bhi call karke cross check kar sakte hai.
