The 6 pairs (3 per side) of fixed torpedo tubes mounted on the middle deck were replaced with 2 quadruple mounts using the powerful Type 93 torpedo, located on the upper deck, one on each side of the catapult. The bridge structure was rebuilt almost identically to the Furutaka class modifications to accommodate the latest rangefinders and fire control equipment for the main battery, antiaircraft and torpedoes. Of the twelve original boilers, two smaller ones were mixed-fuel capable. They were replaced with oil-fired units. Their coal bunkers were replaced with fuel-oil tanks. The above modifications added 576 tons to the ships. To prevent the draft from increasing even more, and to improve stability, bulges were added, simultaneously enhancing anti-torpedo protection. As a result, the ships' beam was increased 1.56 m (5 ft 1 in) to 17.56 m (57.6 ft). Keep up the great work spartan 👍
I played a game in my Myoko the other day and got a 4 kill, 194k comeback of the month game with a good teammate (I know right). We came back with a little over 5 minutes left in the match from a 2 vs 7 and won (by sinking every one of them). If they see this, thank you very much teammate you definitely have earned your pat on the back.
Hey man, I was in the Kamikaze - it was me who went back to the base to locate the fubuki. I had pinged it a few times expecting the Gaede to turn back as it was closer, but it didn't. Thanks for hitting the pensacola he was that close to detecting me when I pinged him. I kept the kongo and graf spee spotted whilst you took them on and the gaede was in smoke. I finished off the ship in the end. You can't always tell whats happening properly from looking at the mini map. GG.
LoL Tbull loves the IJN cruisers but it is definitely not the best. I would argue it is one of the worst. I dont hate the ship I just hate how easily removed from the match it is.
Glad you enjoy. All depends on the range of first contact. If we were inside 12km he's dead... outside of that he could probably dodge everything while burning me down.
Couldnt disagree more, A really great ship in the right hands, she can burn down bbs, kites, wrecks other cruisers. Was hitting 90k damage in ranked a few seasons ago

The Aoba is just a modernized furrytaco because in the Furrytacos retrofit has the higher caliber dual 203mm guns instead of the one gun (6 turrets) 150mm gun but has worse torpedo angles and better torpedo protection
I have to agree, this is my least favorite of the Tier V cruisers, mostly because of the limited number of main guns. I've still had some decent games in it. But this is the first of this line I agree with the camo choice for this line.
This was probably one of the few videos he posted I don't agree with, only because I Play IJN cruisers all day! It's easy to spot BB Captains describing bad cruisers to play, so I took it for that.
Look if you main these things then you're going to like them much like I do with American BBs but I would rather be in anything other than a Russian, or british cruiser to the IJN cruisers. They just dont mesh well with my aggressive playstyle.

Charles Madden is one of the most useless inspirations in the game. Decreasing your reload and turret traverse by a few tenths of a second is pointless. Btw the Kamikaze was the one that turned around and went back. The Gaede was the one being a useless potato(ironic).

I agree. I actually realy like the Aoba; It's tied with the LaGa for my favorite T5 TT cruiser. The key, like most cruisers, is positioning.
Agree! Go for a long range build and burn them down from cover. It's my first tier V ship and one of my favourites
It's the fastest firing 203 in t5. The best cruiser in t5 IMO. If in the right hands it wrecks and burns then disappears.

They are a separate class but they are the successor of furutakas tho the furutakas did have a refot like that

Not really. Every nation gets a base commander with skills that are set up to be useful for any ship class.

When u come to mogami u have to normaly play Mogani and Suzuya they arw basicly the same ship.
Gunichi Mikawa is my go to commander for the whole line. I didnt realize arp takao had 2 turret traverse perks. I might have to reevaluate.

IJN T5s and their floating citadels...its not fun trying to grind to T6s and 30mil cash with floating citadels...
