I believe this was filmed in 1977. If so, those hands and fingers of his are 77 years old. Impressive dexterity. Supposedly Dick once asked Dai Vernon who could fool him and he replied, "Only Slydini."
Lay people dont care which method. To them it is the same trick. That being the case this is Slydini. Original style and master. Even with some internet geeks saying he is flawed. Whatever. His name will be long remebered after we are all gone.😅
For anyone interested , there's a cleaner video of this posted here: ruclips.net/video/srG2XoHqobk/видео.html , starting around the 4 min. 30 sec. mark .
Different times, different techniques. Axel Hecklaus is fast exciting .... Good. Slydinis is Elegant (Now need to do fast and exciting things in those times) ... Good too
@eddiedaskull Couldn't agree more - Slydini's version is the best in my view - and I've used the Al Koran and Pat Page versions that aren't so clean. That said, Tony didn't put this over well in this clip - 45 seconds in proves it!
Une des meilleurs versions du journal déchiré et reconstitué, mais avec un " point faible " la façon de déchiré le journal est beaucoup trop précautionneuse ! on ne déchire jamais un journal avec tant de précaution dans le déchirage !!
I perform this routine in every stage show I do!!!
I've done them all.....
this is the best version!!!
Clean and pretty!!!!

Only to those that think they know. Listen and see the audience response.
@EssexBoy696969 I don't agree, sure he is Slydini and I really adore him too, but Axel Hecklaus "News Flash" is far more exciting!
