    I met Slydini when I was 13 years old at Earthquake McGoon's Magic cellar doing a magic lecture..My dad took me,I was just flaberghasted at his magic. Years later I was doing magic professionally ( close-up,doves,Illusions) A great performer that I knew asked me to pick Tony up at the airport...His baggage was lost & he stayed over at my house,We did magic all night.We became friends & I met him at the airport on a regular basis.I never begged him to teach me so he liked that.I helped him get set-up for his lesson sessions w/10 magicians.I understood him with his Italian accent.He actually re-invented close-up & stage magic.

    After watching magic for nearly 40 years, ever since I was a little boy, I have to say Slydini's "Paper Balls over the Head" has got to be one of the best and most memorable magic tricks I'e ever seen; a real classic. I'd put it up there with the Cups and Balls even, just for pure sleight of hand and magical skills...

    • @rayzhong8542
      @rayzhong8542 6 лет назад +3

      maxLeifermann it's truly amazing because it presents the essence of magic - misdirection-directly to the audience. They see how the trick is done but that doesn't take away the entertainment.

      @PreservationEnthusiast 10 лет назад

      A lot of lapping used where he drags the coin off the back of the table into his lap and pretends it is still in his hand - not too difficult.

    • @PreservationEnthusiast
      @PreservationEnthusiast 10 лет назад +1

      Lapping was known a long time before Syldini. He just used it a lot. If you want me to expose any more effects, just post here and I can for you.

    • @PreservationEnthusiast
      @PreservationEnthusiast 10 лет назад +1

      I'm not spamming, I'm legitimately discussing the video. So you will get nowhere. He didn't even basically invent lapping. He didn't even remotely invent it. It existed a long time in many different forms before he came anywhere near it. I would learn a bit about magic history, if you want to make sensible comments on the videos :)

    • @PreservationEnthusiast
      @PreservationEnthusiast 10 лет назад

      Who cares if noone asked. People don't post comments just because somebody else asks. You are being very dumb there. They post comments so other people can understand the video.
      By the way, your English is almost incomprehensible. I think you should take some English classes.

    • @PreservationEnthusiast
      @PreservationEnthusiast 10 лет назад

      You are the one who is a child. You clearly have a feeble understanding of the comments system, and of the English language too.

    can you guys recomend good coin techniques that would work when you are standing side by side someone at a bar? because the current two handed vanishes i try such as retention vanish dont work good. im sure my poor delivery is a factor but i think the side angle also leaves alot of the effects well less effective.

    They are not "his" secrets. It's all public domain stuff you can find in Bobos and similar publications. Bobos is over 50 years old now, it's public domain.
    It's just Hang Ping Chen, lapping, false transfers, palms. They are not Slydini's moves more than anyone elses, just public domain magic, so it's perfectly OK to discuss and teach the moves for free.
    I will help new magicians learn for free - non of this purchase and pay nonsense for very old public domain magic secrets!
