I’ve always thought this song was so underrated. Great bass line, harmony guitars, that Black Album toms and crash sound, and such a melodic solo and breakdown.
The best part of this for me isn't just that James got the audience to sing IN HARMONY, but his reaction to it. To have fans like that after so many years clearly means the world to him.
This has always been my favourite song off 'The Black Album'. Partly because I took up the bass as a teenager and I loved that it was a bass-lead song.
I don't how but just today I thought you guys were gonna drop a Black Album song reaction due to it's 30th anniversary...and I thought the most cool one would be Misery
Somehow my mind could not process that the Black Album is 30 years old. Got it hot off the racks at 18, the very first CD I ever bought. A little older, a little heavier, none the wiser, and still love Metallica.
@@Jarrik73 How true man, has it really been 30 years? I was 13 and this too was my very first CD that I just had to own and buy with my hard earned paperroute money. Bought it together with the rage against the machine album and was set for a metal holiday. The black album still sounds so fucking good on my car stereo and is permanently stuck in my metal playlist.
I'm always left with kind of a sad feeling when I see Jason's song preformed by Rob although it al sounds great. The smile comes when you see James really making the crowd part of the song giving the song and Jason some extra love.
Just another Metallica gig... This is what happens at one of those gigs. It is this kind of stuff why you need to go see the live act. You get to feel it all!
@@Blitzyduder totally. Newsted is a hell of a bass player. I have nothing but respect for him. But that SOCAL bass fraternity with Trujillo, Burton, Flea and a ton of punk guys and tons more jazz guys are untouchable. And Harris is outstanding. I loved Trujillo when he was with Suicidal and infectious grooves
The idea of that album being 'remastered' fills me with dread. It's one of the most perfectly produced albums ever, and I hate the thought that they would get Greg Fidelman to brickwall it and ruin the dynamics. I may be wrong, but I definitely have concerns.
Ciao Sir Tra , 0'31"-0'32" ❣0'40"-0'42" 🙋 The bass of Trujillo is pretty amazing 2'58"-2'59" They are unique eh both of them : the public amd Sir Tra and Lady Suzi Q . Look at the faces and empathy and pure smiles 3'25" Eheheh 3'33" Whaoo whaoo cool rolls of Lars eh 3'52" 💫🤷♀️🧚♀️👸 5'00" We remember the past video
One of MetallicA's best yet underrated song. Great performance and great mix. Still would have been awesome to see it perform with Jason ( no disrespect for Robb) but Jason wrote it and the back up vocals should have been wayyy better.
I bought this album the day it came out. I spun it for 2 straight weeks and never liked it. Well 30 years later some of it has grown on my me and I'll be damned if you didn't do the most underrated song on the album...lol! Thank y'all so much for that. Despite not caring for that album it was a soundtrack to a great time in my life and so obviously it left it's mark. Keep doing what y'all are doing.. ;-)
No one can control a crowd like James. He is definitely one of the greatest front men of all time. 🤘🤘
Bruce Dickinson crushes everyone.
The best
Freddie Mercury.
He is definitely great singer of metal of all time. The last 20 years. In 90th that's not was singing
For sure.
Criminally underrated song!
By a Criminally underrated bassist!
Jason's masterpiece!
\m/💀\m/
So, it's Blackened and Where The Wild Things Are
I’ve always thought this song was so underrated. Great bass line, harmony guitars, that Black Album toms and crash sound, and such a melodic solo and breakdown.
agree, love this one
so did I ....Jason Newsted had a hand in this song too
@@rudeman62 he sure did! I miss his live energy.
This was always my favourite song from the black album it got severely missed when the album came out
The best part of this for me isn't just that James got the audience to sing IN HARMONY, but his reaction to it. To have fans like that after so many years clearly means the world to him.
That's why they rule the world ,40 years of playing together still kicking ass you 2 are on fire and killing it
Greatest front man and rhythm guitarist ever.
This one and The God that failed are my two favorite tracks on the Monolith Black Album. Can't wait for my pre order to get home in September.

That was the main reason I sent this one through because of the 30 year anniversary and this is my favorite one live
would this be the most melodic metallica's song? incredible
I'm always left with kind of a sad feeling when I see Jason's song preformed by Rob although it al sounds great. The smile comes when you see James really making the crowd part of the song giving the song and Jason some extra love.
One of my all-time favorite songs by Metallica! Such a shame its rarely played live!
that's special
Just another Metallica gig... This is what happens at one of those gigs. It is this kind of stuff why you need to go see the live act. You get to feel it all!
One of my favorite songs, Metallica has so many different songs!!!!
What a reaction! 🔥..btw Suzi your eyes are beautiful 💟🙈
This is my absolute favorite deep track on the black album, love the guitar duet
Omg that was fire! A Song that doesn't get enough attention I'm pleased they're revisiting it! Awesome sauce..
James asked the crowd what the argentinians do without being asked for. Thats why the argentinian crowd is the best in the entire world.
I can't believe this is 30 years later after Metallica's fastest selling thrash metal album of all time.
Trujillo, Burton, Jaco Pastorious and Steve Harris are the Mt. Rushmore of bass players.
Gotto give Newsted cred for writing this bass riff though

Love Metallica and love you guys! Respect from Ukraine.

The Kings.
This song contains my fav solo of all time!
THE ELDER STATESMEN WILL ALWAYS BE THE GOATS! METALLICA FOREVER!
great song
I already preordered the Black album remastered deluxe box set. I can’t wait.🤘

I may be wrong, but I definitely have concerns.
I have the vinyl, the cassette, and the cd. No worries. I got it and it’s awesome.
Such an underrated song
JAMES HETFIELD OOZES METAL OUT OF EVERY PORE OF HIS BODY AND AT 58 STILL DOING IT! METALLICA IS LEGENDARY!
YES!!!!! excellent choice
Hell yeah we Aussies know how to rock.🤘
This was newsted's stuff..hail the dude 🤘🔥
I was at this show! It was awesome
Me too🤘
Crazy when you realize they never played this song live ever until that specific tour
Jason would play the bass intro as a part of his solo. But that was aboutit.

Please react to Spit Out the Bone by Metallica. It's a headbanger.
Wow excelente como siempre, saludo desde Colombia
Can we please get some more Alter Bridge soon? Or some solo Myles Kennedy stuff? Thanks! 🙂
Please react to Sad But True live in Edmonton 2017, some pretty awesome death vocals by James there
Doesn't Metallica feel like "home"? This is a family event and people love them, being there with each other. Spiritual.
Maiden has released two new songs off their upcoming album release. Must hear!!
Incredible the part when both guitars are playing and the crowd still is singing in a perfect armony… wtf
That bass line should be played with a pick....
One of MetallicA's best yet underrated song.
Great performance and great mix.
Still would have been awesome to see it perform with Jason ( no disrespect for Robb) but Jason wrote it and the back up vocals should have been wayyy better.
JASON NEWSTEAD WAS A MASTER MASTER BASSIST WHO GOT NOT HIS SHARE OF CREDIT. HIS VOCALS WERE SUPERB FILL INS WITH JAMES VOCALS.
Was there 😀🤘
First time i have seen Kirk's White Zombie guitar. Bela Lugosi lives.

Not my favourite song from the album - but this live performance just put it up there as a GREAT song. WOW!
guys listen please «Spit out the bone», you won't regret it. from Russia with love!
Yeahhhhhhhh Metallicaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Nice reaction as always but I think the Rock Am Ring version is even better because of the 85.000 people singing the middle part
The Gods, while dave is opening for FFDP. 🤣
hell yeaaaaah 🤘😍
My second favorite Metallica song behind Master of Puppets but they haven't done crap since.
Damn, Kirks Barn Door was open lol!!! 9:15
Not a real metallica fan till you play So WHAT from garage days album lol
Dude, it's a gross song for most normal people. 😆
Jason wrote that Bassline. 😉
Can you do the unforgiven next, live from San Diego 1992
Please react to The Unforgiven! The official video, it's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!!
Jason Newsted's 🎵 song.
This song is better played with pick on bass, like Jason did, makes the bass stand out more, here it's a blurry mess.
The call of ktulu next
Do new ice nine kills!
Mel burn aka Melbourne
Damage Inc, please 🤘🏻☠️
They just did that one last week I think
Robert Trujillo is the bass player's name, say it, remember it
React to buckstabu from rammstein
Kirk the Ripper
🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪
I like these reactions but do you guys follow the lyrics??? Do you know what he's talking about
u really hear this song for the 1st time? Actuallu 1986/ For u to know. U admiring as if it was sang the day before yesterday/ Poor people/ ))))))))
Metallica reloaded feat Diana Ankudinova and Method man x gibson guitars seems to much? Cool = ice.
Lick some lyrics
Off topic, sorry,. You're intro reminds me of Mary Magdalene.
What's wrong with this dude? can he stop smiling?
Listening this song without Jason…..you have no idea what you do, sorry😳
Pro Tip for Americans: Melbourne is pronounced 'Mel-Burn', not 'Mel-Born'.
Locals pronounce it 'Mel-B'n'. Just cut out all of the other letters.
Megadeth is better...🎸 🤘
😆🤣🤣🤣🤣
