No matter how tall these trucks are the distance from the Dif to the ground are dam near the same. Also the higher the truck is the worse momentum they carry when they are bouncing around it exaggerates the movements 10 fold making the momentum just stop.
Frick yeah!!!!! love this Fricking video, best frickin stuff ever man. That is the best frickin thing ive seen man! love these video man good job!!!!! Frick yeah!!!
The Sherpa pretty much floats some and paddles some in the thick mud. The axles are so close, center to center that it is very close to being like a tracked vehicle, plus the flotation and low ground pressure. It doesn't take a lot of hp to get the job done, either. Genius, non-tracked ATV.
Its like most guys in these competitions brains default to "let me get stuck in the same spot the guy before me did"! Trying different lines isn't a foreign concept
Unless you have thousands of hp to keep fat tyres rippin, skinny tyres are way to go as they cut through soft stuff and get to harder ground to create drive. That's why old tractors were built like that. Awesome video, classic day, Avagud1. I'd like to see Just Stop Oil protesters trying to block these roads or tracks. Would be mulched up in seconds.
Depends how deep the mud is, at some point it's too deep to cut through the soft stuff. I had an 85 Toyota PU that ran 36'' ground hogs. That truck was so light it just floated over the mud and never sunk in. You definitely didn't need thousands of HP to run wide tires, that truck had 110, only needed low rage which was good for 50 MPH in 5th. You only need enough tire RPM to keep the treads clean. There's a reason super swampers and most other off road tires are wide.
These guys need to turn these ag tires the other way.. as a farm boy they are triangle forward to ease the ride on hard surfaces 😮 why only the left side. ? It seems that where the hole keeps getting deeper.
To get through this pit a boat with paddle tires is best lol. The trucks with the big mud tires are just giving it there best go at it. The last vehicle is a floater with paddle tires.
It would be a true and fair contest if the mud coursr was reset to the same condition at the start of every race. Would like to see the truck that made it through tackle the course again to validate my point.
Chevrolet is the only way. I've got my 76 3/4 1 time in the driveway. A 1600 horsepower that would fly through that pit. It would look like a rocket ship. I just don't do the mud holes anymore. I cleaned her up and made her a show trip that I raced corvettes and stuff on the street to a 46 inch tires. It is fun in my 50s. We had a whole lot of fun to be 30 years ago. Cheers to all of you fellas.
The Americans were struggling, building various freaky super-powered all-terrain vehicles. But. A harsh Russian SHERP appeared with a 1.6L engine and a power of less than 80 hp and simply destroyed the whole show.
@@Markknightexeter No. This is exactly a Russian all-terrain vehicle. It was created by Russian designer Alexey Garagashyan. The fact that they were produced in Ukraine does not make it Ukrainian. Just like Apple products, although they are assembled in China and India, they are considered American. By the way, Sherpa all-terrain vehicles were also produced in Russia, at a factory in St. Petersburg. Now Garagashyan continues to develop all-terrain vehicles, both technically similar to Sherpas and others. Only now he produces them under the brand name "AG"
Seventeenten minutes in and the big GMC. Why in the world does it not have Detroit lockers in bad things? And why don't these have at least a 1000 horsepower? When you have enough horse power to take off in fly. You never come close to the bottom. That's how you do it.

Crazy how much We The People have in common. . FLORIDA checking in

Heck ya brother!!
Iwas surprised when a sherp diller popped up around me made me want to try one out on lake. Best wishes from Dawsonville GA.
It's fun but rarely goes by. That's great, friend
So awsome.thank you for being you..such great times.👍✌️

Would love to try this in my Kia Sorrento.
So the one truck making it through in the beginning doesn't count? Or what?
That's awesome, good job
I’ve been watching some of your videos much as I can I was wondering if anyone can join your group in mud trails and moose hunting I like both

I agree
I'm curious, is there tire size and tread size?
with the A/C ON and a Glass of Chardonnay. The Sherp is Bad Ass
Haha heck ya!
How does the sherp control / change tire air pressure??
In cab with a simple switch
Sick bounty hole this year!
Always a battle
Hard to stop a Sherp!!
Some of the best advertising for the Sherp is climbing out of the back end of that pit, especially after all of those built trucks didn't make it.
Where and when is this event held???
Out there for a Sunday drive hahaha.

Jacking your truck is good for keeping the engine out of the water but once the axle starts dragging your done !!

do they let mud skimmers go through the pit what they called a skimmer was slow an heavy mine sits 8 inches off the ground and has paddle tires

Pure water is about 10,000x easier to run through lol
