- Sora, an unreleased AI model from OpenAI, generates realistic and imaginative video from text prompts. Acclaimed filmmaker Paul Trillo was granted early access just before the TED2024 conference. This year marks TED’s 40th anniversary - but instead of looking back, we asked Sora to show us what the next 40 years could look like. @@bernardobila4336 I don’t believe that was the full prompt. It was TED’s “prompt” to the filmmaker, who then likely expounded upon it to generate this video
This is certainly many multiple prompts stitched together
What is the point?
When I looking this video, I shock because some of the scene are already exist in this world. it means this video made by AI that recognise our current situation and predict the phenomenon of the future.
May all this be done full-length with… perhaps the advent of superconductors in room temperature? Like what Korean university lab appeared to have spotted during the experiment

Hard to watch! If AI sora is so good, why not make a simple short comprehensive video to show of Sora's capabilities.
So many here dont get it. This was far better than expected. Pure creativity, so inspiring. Really hope another ted generation will up the game on the format and set new standards in spreading ideas.

It shows mostly how bad Sora is at generating a video. Yes, the video looks cool, but it does not tell a story - it ist just one fast cut sequence, perfect for somebody who is on drug or had some serious brain damage. You don´t want to watch it again. Sora is 95% hype and 5% a nice trick to generate some very weird video. It might take a very long time until a generative AI video is actually any good - my guess is 5+ years or maybe even much, much longer.

Lot of assumptions based on a single video for an unreleased tool.
@@_B_E true. However if you follow the "content" that is generated in the past 3 years, you can see a trend: impressive sequences, but on a closer look it is just a 60% solution with lots and lots of errors. What makes this videos attractive is the novelty, not the quality.
