I am Japanese. I am very pleased that City Pop is being evaluated overseas in this way. I was able to reaffirm the awesomeness of Tatsuro Yamashita and Eiichi Otaki. Also, the songs are very respectful and the melody is elaborate and wonderful.
Tatsuro is literally my favourite artist, I love so much of his stuff. I wish I could afford the import costs to get a copy of his cassette tapes or vinyls, but I'll have to settle for streaming for now

I'll tell you one thing dude, after coming out of the hospital for a stress induced stroke at age 22, I dedicated my time removing optional stressors, those included social media, news that wasn't local and politics. I was heavy into those things and they almost killed me. I replaced those with good music, good news, and doing one nice thing for someone else. So far I'm happier than I was before. Try to find your optional stressors and remove them, you'll see a difference. Best of luck, man.
