    I used to exclusively almost dive Scubapro but after trying out the B2 in key west… I decided to just buy the T3 lol. So now I basically just dive with Scubapro and Atomics. I find Atomic Aquatics to be the only other brand that seems to impress me as much as Scubapro over the years. I’m glad I was able to experience that swivel which made a world of difference for me.

      Our staff loves their Atomic regulators and BCDs too. That swivel is the best.

    Hi Mike,
    I had a question about my b2 regulator. I got mine environmentally sealed, so would it be ok to use for cold water diving? I will mostly be diving in-land lakes and quarries in middle America. Thanks for your time!

      Hello! Yes, if your B2 is environmentally sealed you should be okay to use it in cold water.

    Thank you for the video. Do you know if there is a flex hose for the SS1? I'd like a more flexible hose than the one that comes with the SS1. Thank you!

    Hi Mike, great video. The Atomic regulators seem like the best performing regulators out today. I'm curious, you mentioned the B2 is the best selling model what is the difference between the B2 and the Z2/Z3? You mentioned that the difference of a T3 and a Z3 is the service intervals (T3 = 3 yrs) and the materials (T3 = Titanium). But if the performance is exactly the same wouldn't the Z3 be the top seller? I'm trying to decide between a Z3 or B2 for recreational diving in tropical (FL, Mexico, Caribbean) and Cold Water (California and Washington) diving.

      Hey Michael, Great question. The B2 has a comfort swivel on the first and second stage. The Z3 only has a swivel on the second stage. Most of our customers and staff like the swivel in both places because it really makes moving effortless and configuring your regulator convenient. There is very little strain when moving around with the B2 because of the swivel in both places. The B2 is essentially the same regulator as the T3 but is made with a chrome-plated Brass 1st stage. While you would be happy with either regulator that is why the B2 is the top seller over the Z3. The Z3's first stage is also made of Zirconium with a Titanium swivel on the second stage. The Zirconium is a less expensive metal than the chrome-plated Brass body of the B2's first stage. That is also why the Z3 is less expensive than the B2. If you would like to see our comparison chart head over to our website: diveaai.com/en/atomic-regulators-comparison-chart - we only have the Z2 in our store (so that is why the Z3 is not on there) this is because, as you pointed out, the Z3 and B2 are so similar. Hope this helps, Happy Diving!

    The M1 any good ?

    • @DiveAAI
      @DiveAAI  4 года назад +1

      The M1 is a great regulator for cold environments. Monel parts are used internally in the first stage for high strength, corrosion-resistance and oxygen compatibility. 316 Stainless Steel, multi-layer Zirconium-coated Brass, and Titanium are used throughout the second stage. The second stage features a thermal heat sink for cold water, and a surge protected front cover and super-dry exhaust valve for rough water. Add a super-wide exhaust deflector and an exclusive heat-protecting jam nut for freeze protection to cover almost any extreme diving situation. Most of our staff dive this regulator year round in Wisconsin lakes. We use it out on Lake Michigan in 35 degree water and under the ice with confidence. The best part is you don't have to sacrifice ease of breathing for all of these features. It still breathes easy and is a quality regulator for cold water!

      I use the Atomic M1, I live in Britian and they are perfect for our British waters. The octo's are superb and are identical to the primary, with the only difference being the colour of the reg. They are superb for cave diving too. I would highly recommend 👌🏻✌🏻

    This video confuses me. It starts with the T3, the best regulator in the world. Then goes to the ST1, which I assume the only difference is weight. Then the B2, which is made from the same material as pretty much all manufacturers use. Then goes down to the M1 which is designed for cold water diving and higher oxygen mixes? To finally end on the Z2, which is the budget regulator but breathes the same as the T3.
    Then what makes the T3 the best regulator in the world? It breathes the same as the M1, which can also handle cold water and nitrox. Is it really only a regulator you buy because you can? That doesn't sound like "the best regulator", but more like a money flex.
    What is it about the B2 that makes it less suitable for cold water and nitrox use the M1? Why are you using stainless steel in the ST1? What advantages does it have over brass or monel?
    This video seems to contradict itself at several points.
