I think cats mostly seem afraid of water because when their fur is wet it gets really heavy and makes basic survival stills much harder, so even though you’re not entirely wrong in saying I have some cat like traits, the lack of fur points quite strongly away from that being one of them.
I'm glad she's coming around to having a neko partner!! Loved this!! Very sweet audio!! AMAZING as always!! Also, yarn over feather. You can atleast roll yarn around for a little while.

If I was in that position I’d let her know that as as her partner she doesn’t have to be nervous and I’d be more than willing to answer her questions. It’s clear she cares a lot and wants to respect the listener but you can’t really do that well if you don’t know (and unlike most cases there probably aren’t many other sources). She should know that she doesn’t need to walk on eggshells and it’s ok to ask questions and make mistakes as long as you learn from them.
