    550,000 is five hundred and fifty thousand dollars, not '550 million' and 1,400,000 is not 'one point four billion.' Might want to amend that - it would make GT3 racing as expensive as space travel 8)

      Correct, thank you!

    • @billcasey9297
      @billcasey9297 Год назад

      Wrong again. 550,000 is pronounced five hundred fifty thousand. The word “and” in mathematical sentence denotes a decimal point. Five hundred and 50 would be written 500.50

    I fkn love what max is doing connecting sim racing and gt3 racing. It sucks that you have to sink so much money into your kids karting career to give them a tiny chance at getting into car racing. It’s too much for a lot of people. A sim rig can be expensive, but once you make the initial investment, you can put tons of hours of practice into a sim rig whereas with a kart you’ll constantly need repairs, new parts etc. you’ll also need registration money for a karting league and a new or upgraded kart as they move into the higher karting divisions which run at higher speeds. plus full time working parents may not be able to get their kids out karting every week if they aren’t near a track or if there isn’t any karting league at the local track. If he can develop a way to eye genuine talent through sim racing, it would open up entrance into motor sports for tons of less affluent aspiring motorists.

    I wouldn’t blame him. The silly rule changes and greediness of the STUPID sprint format and adding so many races to the schedule would drive me nuts too if I were in his shoes. F1 used to be about fearless men competing at the highest level and risking their lives. More and more it’s just PR and marketing and woke advertising campaigns to bring in more profits. Any real rac driver would go nuts playing to the silly drama every week.

    I doubt very much that Max will stay in F1 long enough to win eight titles. The world is changing to quickly. Unfortunately F1 is seen as a dinosaur. The move to sustainability is killing F1. Max will move on before our beloved F1 is no more. Nobody dreams of dedicating their life to becoming a Sim champion, or e champion. When Max and his Dad dedicated their lives to becoming F1 champions it was to continue the legacy of traditional F1 racing.

    Money talk.
    Verstappen is insatiable of victories, his idea of the sport makes a second place a humiliating defeat. Abandoning F1 is a defeat, because it shows fear of fighting in the middle. The change of the tide is inevitable and the new rules (and engines) make it likely, with the financial loss as a consequence.
    But intimately, he believes that his ego is worth more than 1 second a lap, with his aggressivity giving him the upside...
    He is plowing the terrain for bargaining for the best car, according to the evolution of the landscape.
    With me, better he sat down before becoming really nervous.

He should ask Adrian Newry to join him to make sure lol. David Coulthard helped with him moving from Maclaren to Red bull so it's possible.
