I have mine and I was able to transform it like any other masterpiece figure I watched Ben’s review and he made it look super difficult and made me afraid of getting it but when I received mine it wasn’t as bad as Ben said it was

Yeah, this figure is bullsh*t, at first I though Toyworld made an incrdible job but then I saw Ben's review just to see that the truck mode doesnt tap correctly and then right now seeing PvP review with everything snaping off I now have my final conclusion:
Toyworld made another shitty well painted figure with lots of Qc issues.

Unique Toys version is still my favorite. Some parts do not lock together very well but overall it has good engineering. It also doesn’t have too many armatures being used to transform bits around.

Wow, this is the first time I have seen figures just break on camera in a review. I hope ShowZ gives you a full replacement figure that includes everything missing and all parts that were broken. Then just transform it into robot and leave it in robot mode forevermore.

You know that I love complex/challenging transformations and intricate engineering. I loved the DS split. But this just looks like a nightmare. Split was difficult but with patience everything actually tabs in tightly. I will say the figure in theory is incredibly impressive. The concept is great. But seriously fuck this figure. Lol

I hate these kinds of paint jobs that get labeled as "battle damage" or "wear and tear". There's paint chipping all over the tabletop, especially at 28:45. You'll never notice it on a darker tabletop and because of its "battle damaged" paint scheme you're not going to notice it on the figure before its too late and you've chipped away most of it.
It's not "battle damage", it's "pocket damage" (cheap paint job).
Probably the best attempt at transforming this figure. Bravo

Personally, I don’t mind complex transformations (this one is a lot to handle though) as long as it looks good in all modes and everything stays together. But all in all great review 👍

This is why unique toys is superior. Simpler transformation and engineering, and it actually holds together. Though i dont have it cuz im collecting studio series and i hope that hasbro makes a much more better knight optimus prime in their studio series line.
Hasbro is so commercial, is mass production. They will never invest in that kind of engineering because is not profitable for them.
That's the reason Hasbro's designs are crap, generally speaking.

It's crazy a lot of people in this community don't enjoy complex and difficult transformations. I find it it to be the only reason why I enjoy transformers in general, and why I'm excited to grab myself this optimus, the dragoon, and the freedom leader version of optimus.
What do you know? A transforming Transformers figure that makes you wish that it didn't transform.
This figure could have been perfect, there’s some major QC issues, but it is very accurate to the films. I hope they revise the figure, because it’s unacceptable. But I do have to applaud what they got right.
It's a shame about the QC issues and the transformation. I think he's the best-looking Bayverse Optimus figure out there.

There's a version that made by weijiang back in the day, however the design is quite dated compared to today's standard, and the paint is also not the same as the movie.

This figure is the definition of accuracy over playability
Personally I prefer TF1 Optimus design but this robot mode is alright as well, although the torso I believe is a little too wide

This is one of those figure that have very hard complex transformation (like black apple Optimus prime for example)

Black Apple is indeed complex, but the robot mode and the car mode is so good it worth every second I used to transform him. And also every tap together nicely and firmly. This one is rather floppy, you feel like you can break him at any point, not to mention the both the proportion of his robot mode as well as car mode are kinda weird.
This makes the unique toys challenger look like a happy meal
Challenger has the benefit of having a fun transformation.
Well challenger is still better. The robot mode is solid, the truck mode is way better than Orion's, and it has a fun transformation

Prime vs prime I just noticed his head is very small in my opinion
These are the issues I've come across with my copy of the figure, some of the articulation joints are a little stiff (mainly the shoulders and biceps), one of the screws in his leg become loss while doing a transformation step it is involved in, I've had three pins fall out from his legs (I've put them back in) and things not wanting to stay or even tab in (for the transformation to truck).
But in regards to the 'Pin and Screw' on his back, my copy came with two screws holding the smoke stacks in. And I haven't had anything break or even feel like it's going to break on me, so it's definitely a "your mileage may very" kind of figure.
Something to note: This figure isn't entirely ToyWorld engineering, as it was a former Black Mamba design that ToyWorld had bought.
This transformation keeps me awake at night.
Unique Toys Challenger remains unbeaten
Unpopular opinion: Besides all the flaws aforementioned, I'd say the proportions looked a bit off. The forearms and the biceps looks too big. The gap between the chest plates looks too far apart. The pectoral region seems too large as well. And the head is a bit too small.

I believe Optimus used his shotgun in TLK when he was fighting Bumblebee.
Optimus had his shotgun in AoE when he was rusty and also had it when he and the other Autobots stormed KSI.

I knew too many people who owned it and could not recommend it with good faith.

While unique toys isnt maybe like 100% accurate it mostly is and is built very well. From what I've heard the toy world figure is riddled with issues and in my opinion looks worse than the unique toys other than the paintjob

ToyWorld Western Star AoE/TLK Optimus Prime and UniqueToys Western Star AoE/TLK Optimus Prime's robot modes are toss-ups and both of their truck modes were rushed.
I'd say that the UniqueToys transformation was a lot more simple than ToyWorld's version
maybe but at least unique toys did an overall better job.

Me: Oh good god! I literally watched the transformation, and HOLY SWIVEL you are right! The windshield literally broke off on camera, and I can tell its an absolute pain to get him into truck and robot mode! I will agree with you, the Unique Toys Challenger would be more bank for your buck, because it looks like that he (UTR-02) is fun to handle, pose, and kind of obviously, to actually TRANSFORM!

After half an hour of digging I found out I was able to cancel and get a full refund on this pre-order. Thank you! It's a real shame it was so fragile.
This is the only PrimeVsPrime video to my recollection where he is clearly frustrated to the point of holding back anger. I can totally imagine the look on his face as this figure crumbles to bits in his hands.

Last time I got a MP style Optimus was an MPM4 KO. It broke out of the box. I do also have UT Challenger, but as someone with Autism and likes to fiddle with transformers, I cannot wait to get my hands on that dry brushing!

Toyworld literally made this optimus battle damaged look from weathering to broken bits and uneven tolerances
No need to apologize. The robot mode looks really good and almost screen accurate. It's a shame just transforming the figure into its vehicle mode which does not look appealing and low quality with parts falling off. Hopefully, there will be a great and screen accurate Knight Optimus Prime. Good thing there's Unique Toys version.
Challenger might not have the most challenging Transformation, but it is the most challenging figure wise

Have you tried contacting the company for a new side thigh peice that snapped off
Bravo for soldiering on with what must have been gut wrenching breakages happening during the transformation! You got it looking pretty good at the end despite all its faults and self sabotaging design choices. I'm guessing Covid and its effect on the Chinese factories and workers (understaffed, offline, loss of skilled employees etc..) will have been a factor with the QC problems since it must have been rushed once they were able to start up manufacturing again (that alone can take a week to a month to get sorted in ideal times which these certainly are not) as this has been in the final preproduction prototype phase for over a year now; engineers possibly weren't around to make the correct final tweaks to materials used etc.. as well. I guess you could say it comes with it's own 'over realistic' mechtech battle damage feature? They do tend to fall to bits in the action scenes on the silver screen! ;-) Don't forget Ben couldn't get this right with less problems than you had QC wise and called the review of it 'The Toy That Broke Ben'.

If you want a transforming prime that does a decent job then get Unique Toys. If you want a proper display piece for robot mode get the ThreeZero. This figure looks terrible for the money and is a shame. Bless you for remaining so calm throughout. You truly have some patience beyond belief. I really hope that you can get your money back or get the replacement parts to fix it, if you choose to keep it.

Bayformers has been well known for being an exploding mess turning into a giant robot/ impressive car, so the fact that this 3rd-party companies takes the job and fulfill this concept into a working transformer figure (with exception of EL CID) is quite remarkable. I believe that is what Toyworld looks for with this highly complex transforming figure, so, at a certain point, i personally can deal with this not-so-fun transformation process, and probably there's some people with similar thoughts out there, however, you do NOT expend 200 bucks for a figure that will fall into pieces in your bare hands while plating with it with minimum effort, that is just unacceptable, so if Toyworld considers to improve QC and building materials for this one (and, probably, for any subsequent figure in the future) for any possible upcoming revision, it could stand a chance. In the meantime, Unique Toys's Prime is your choice for sure. Good job with your review, tho.
