  • Well this wasn't one of my target bucks but after 5 days in the stand I lowered the bar a little bit. Either way I'm pretty happy with this buck. I had passed on a few smaller bucks in the first 4 days. He wasn't the heaviest buck but he had some decent antlers and there was no way I was letting this one walk away

    Literally just did the same thing to a crop damage doe with a longbow 5 days ago. Spines her, mortally wounded but put another in her. Video will be out hopefully by Tuesday! Very cool to see what hunting all that way out west is like. First black tail video I’ve ever seen. Nice work! Subbed.

    Anyone who has ever hunted blacktail deer will understand how difficult it is to hunt them. Major props on putting in the 2nd shot. Not easy. . . any of it. I hunted BT for years and was never able to let an arrow fly at them. Congrats, and great footage too!

    Dude that was awesome! Ive been looking at a bow here in south africa as I had all my guns stolen in a huge robbery. I just bought a small farm of 25 hectares. There are some buck on the place but not many trees to get into like that. I have no possible way of getting a gun here unless the cops find my rifles. Anyway great job! I'll keep watching and looking for gear here.

    I hunted in the rain this year and tagged a doe. My buddies who didn’t kill deer complained about how wet is at home on the couch. Way to be hardcore.
    Nice deer bro.🇺🇸

    • @SoloCamXTOutdoors
      @SoloCamXTOutdoors  3 года назад

      Congrats on your deer. And ya, I never understood why people sit it out because it's raining. That's the best time to be out there. The rain does not bother the deer in the least bit and I tend to see the most deer movement when it's raining. Not to mention you can get away with a lot more under the cover of the noise from the rain.

    Nice work! Just had a similar situation out of my stand in southern Oregon. Hit a limb and sent the arrow way right and it went through both hindquarters. Waited 2 hours to track and he bled out a few hundred yards away. Bow hunting isn’t always pretty and I appreciate you sharing this!

    • @SoloCamXTOutdoors
      @SoloCamXTOutdoors  3 года назад +1

      Ya he could have floundered there for minutes so I knew I had to get another one in him quick. There is a brutal reality to it for sure and things don’t always go as planned. And I’m glad you were able to find yours.

    A very respectable 3x3. He's a buck I would've taken on the first day ,easy. Excellent video as always bye the way. Look at the briteside. The giant eye guard buck will get another whole year of antler growth.

      On day one I probably would have let this guy go but not on day 5. No hesitation there. I actually had the big eye guard buck right under my nose on day 2 but it was still too dark to see. I could tell there were a couple deer there at 15 yards. 10 minutes later and I would have been able to see. When I pulled the SD cards that evening I almost fell out of my chair. He was right there. ☹️

    I respect the legality of your hunt, but...this shows one of the main reasons I don’t bow hunt. I believe ethical hunting should entail the quickest death of the animal you’re hunting. And...the best way to to achieve this is with a rifle.

    • @SoloCamXTOutdoors
      @SoloCamXTOutdoors  3 года назад +2

      Michael Boehm
      Well allow me to disagree with you completely. Normally I would get a pass through double lung and they are dead within seconds. I have taken a lot of deer with my bow over the last 15 years and this was the first time I had to deal with this situation. This merely shows the reality of hunting where things don't always go as planned. And that's why I very quickly put the second arrow through both lungs. The same exact thing can and does happen rifle hunting more often than you think and is much more brutal. But congratulations to you for being the perfect hunter and always killing your deer instantly apparently...
