idk why but it just reminds me of something; you know how memes are popular then die out? it's kinda like that with the stanley cup. everyone was hyped a few months ago, now nobody wants one.

It mattered a lot to me and I really don’t care if there not trendy anymore, love you dad

Ant you just use a water bottle like everyone else…why does it have to be a cup
Just people making excuses for why they had to buy the trendy thing, they could have gotten the dozen of other cup brands that work just as well but of course it has to be a Stanley cup lol
@tobaboba-tx4liYes, but I'm trying another style of it to see what happens, if rarely ever falls or gets kicked
@@TheSamjane4Because we have really long practices some days, including some practices stacked on top of each other, so my Stanley has the right amount of water I need.

The whole lead thing did a lot of damage and people realized how stupid that obsession was.
Im so happy my nieces were mature kids and didn't fall for the bully trend of Stanley.
They said kids at their schools are no longer bringing them in.

I never got a Stanley but I never knew what the hype was all about
TikTok and stupid behavior.
Same, any tumbler that kept my drink cold or hot as long as I wanted it, was just fine with me but I was into tumbler cups way before this Stanley craze cause I like to keep my drinks cold or hot and that’s all it’s about for me, not being trendy, it’s damn cup what is there to be trendy about smh but I just was never interested in the Stanley cup but if the price drops low enough now that the craze is over, I might grab one to see if it lives up to the hype of keeping your drinks cold & hot a long time even through a fire, I wanna see if it’s true but your girl ain’t spending more than $20-30 on a tumbler cup and $30 is pushing it cause I tend to like to stay under $20
People want what other people have
This shows how fast the world is moving, because I remember when things would be hype for years…
I've been hearing about this chaos and that reminded me of Black Friday with crazy crowds.
I knew it was over when someone found a Stanley in the thrift. My 5$ Kuromi themed water bottle has lasted longer than this hype 😂
I never bought a Stanley because I still have my hydroflask from 8 years ago.
I still have my reusable coffee cup i got at a trinket table from a college
I remember the hydroflask trend 😭
I still use a takeya from 6 years ago, what do you MEAN i need to get a new travel cup. i did get a new travel mug tho my old cup was easy to drop
tsk tsk tsk
Oh! LOL I saw that on the shelf on April 10th! I didn't realize it was a new special drop. It was just on the regular shelf. They did have a sign about a purchase limit, though.
ETA: I have a couple of Stanleys and I love them. Not because they were trendy for a minute, but because they're nice and huge and last me an entire workday.
As glad as I am that the insanity over this cup died down I can’t say the reason why makes me too happy. It’s not because people realized it’s just a cup and there’s no need to fight over it but because it’s “out of style” like- ??!! IT’S A CUP wdym out of style? Is hydrating yourself a trend? It doesn’t matter what cup you drink out of as long as you stay hydrated. Anyways, glad people aren’t stepping over each other for these tumblers anymore
"is hydrating yourself a trend?" Boy do I have news for you about a thing called WaterTok
It's a CUP indeed. It's like I'm missing something in my brain. You might as well have a trend over branded clothespins. I mean... how? Why? It just baffles me. You buy such things when you need one, and you simply pick something with a reasonable price that doesn't look like it'll break apart in a day. That's it.
People just want what others have, that hasn’t gone away. There will be new trends
idk why but it just reminds me of something;
you know how memes are popular then die out? it's kinda like that with the stanley cup.
everyone was hyped a few months ago, now nobody wants one.

Water bottles by Boroux are cool. Glass bottles with wide mouths that are easy to clean. They have a metal canister it slides into to protect it. Had mine for years.

shoutout to the girls in my school in my classes that still own their stanleys. im not a stanley cup enjoyer, but im happy that they love their cups that are in cute colours. its fine to have things from trends if they help you find your true self or help you discover something you TRULY LIKE and WILL USE.
Ok SO not to to long ago I was in a class with 4 th grade girls (not as a 4th grader) and out of those 4 4th grade girls 3 HAD A STANLEY CUP LIKE THE BIG ONES! THAT IS INSANITY!
Omg same thing at my gymnastics! A lot of the little girls (like 2nd and 4th grade) have the big ones!
@@CottonCandy_11 One of the 4th grade girls when she first got it she took it EVERYWHERE it kept spilling because when she would sit on the floor she would have it right next to her!
It's so so ridiculous, especially the big sizes? Like it's bigger than the kids' head at times! And also made for cars,, so incredibly useless to stand upright safely? Like,, i wouldnt trust myself with that shitty design cos i know I'd instantly knock it over so wouldnt dream of giving it to kids😂😂

Yk I never thought Stanley’s would flop but here we are!
I am SO not surprised. I live on a college campus, and the tiny target nearby started stocking them in early March. Never had low stock. Got one casually that was white and teal with multicolored stripes, so a more distinct design than the solid colors. It's useful for my living situation but I don't plan to get another one lol.
It’s like these cups were a form of mind control over the customers and target and Stanley are shocked and sad that brain dead people from tik tok did not go crazy again over a blue cup with a fat handle
girl the amount of goosebumps i got tf 😭 like the rise and fall of the stanley

I love your channel so much! The time and effort you put in your videos are amazing❤
Also watching your videos make me realized that many people are crazy…
I literally just got one, and though I was made aware of them from the trend, I just really loved the look of them. I went to the US on holiday and got a pretty orange one from hot topic. It can act as both a cool cup and a nice souvenir to remember my trip by. Just wanted something nice to put some iced coffee in. Though tbh, I will probably only fill it halfway as it’s so huge

I saw my classmate with a stanley cup and a few more people with stanley cups, and they became the cool kids..
Well, they're most likely not the cool kids anymore because the Stanley cup craze is over now
I've had tickets dispensed like that for a couple of high-profile tech releases & such, it makes sense.
But considering that they didn't give them all out / ran OOS, they likely either just had someone give the tickets away at the door if asked or just gave up after 15min instead of an hour.
3:30 okay chill this is just a target thing, they do this too with people who line up to buy pokemon cards and they did it when I lined up to buy animal crossing amiibo cards when those dropped
I love your profile picture
This is why I don't purchase "trending" items, including video games. The trends die out too quickly.
I think when people discovered the led in it. I think that's what made it unpopular
It's fascinating how quickly the bubble can burst.
Are your family/you moving out, Hayley? The posters aren't on the wall anymore...
Lol.. Last week I went to my local Family Dollar. I saw one Stanley Cup dupe in the clearance aisle. Just out of curiosity I picked it up and looked at it. No logo obviously. The lid and straw were missing . Then I looked at the other customers, nobody else even glanced at it.😂 Lol nobody wants the dupes either.
Nooooo who would’ve thought? 😂

@ville__ If you were a 30+ year old you'd know the difference between than and then! ^_^
The ONLY other thing I've heard of that had the ticketing system was special edition Disney dolls at the Disney store that one of my collector friends spoke about in a blog.
I’ll never understand the obsession with Stanley cups. It’s a fucking cup! You can get cups anywhere! What’s so big about these things?!
Even though everyone knew the craze was over this highlights that human pattens are completely unpredictable

Extra question: what happened to all the posters in the back of your room?
Idk, maybe she’s moving or redoing her room
If I saw one of my friends have a Stanley in January, my eyes would be WIDE. I would be surprised of how they got one. But if I see one of my friends have a Stanley cup now, I would just go “oh that’s cool” and move on.

there should be a rule
where... if you buy a bunch of limited time items at a time. you cant return them unless its for a serious reason (like a recall)... because what message that would send to resellers? that they got what they deserved

i got a stanely last week and love it. but heres the thing. it was a dollar at a thrift store, it has been absolutely destroyed, paint is chipped bottom of the cup (not where the led it) is chipped up to peices, but its nice, and keeps my ice cold for a while. its like any average insulated cup. it doesnt keep it more cold than my 10$ cups from walmart that look the same. i just like the straw and how easy it is to carry. but i also love my other insulated cups the same ammount

I'm glad that Target and Starbucks were overprepared this time. I don't think they had any clue what was going to happen in January. It's best to be prepared and not need it, than be underprepared and have people beating each other up over cups.
Main gift giving season is over (xmas, valentines, easter). Mothersday is oriented more around flowers, chocolates and other things. People are also tired of lugging a heavy metal canister with them .
