The async part being constant, rising for a while, and then staying constant is one of the sounds on the M7. This similar pattern can be found on the Toei 5500 series, the Toei 6300 series, some Meitetsu trains, and even some trains with Hitachi 3-level IGBT inverters, like the JR West 223, and the Tobu 30000 series.
This sounds beautiful, I’m from the uk so I haven’t had a chance to hear these in person. Only in TSW. Sounds quite similar to the game but this is wayyyy better! Quick question if anyone can answer? Why are most American trains not painted? They look a bit bland and boring personally compared to most other trains anywhere else.
@@FanRailer you wouldnt know of you dont ask. Lol. Btw these sound way worse than the MNR cara. These cars make all sorts of weird sounds etc. Ahhh LIRR for ya
Relaxing ASMR M7 Sounds to get East Side Access done to.
Edit January, 2023: they finally finished it lol
I could just listen to this all day!!! 😊😊
music to my ears

sounds the same/or very close to the Odakyu 3000 series trains. Please listen to them if you have time!
similar but not too close, M7 has like more phases and pitch changes, Odakyu 3000 series is more constant and linear
It's because they both use Mitsubishi IGBT-VVVF traction motors.
Beginning sounds like some Meitetsu trains.
Nice video!

Paint is expensive.
:( no colour
Yeah we love our colours over in the uk. And smooth train bodies.
Its a way to combat graffiti, it’s easier and cheaper to remove on metal than repainting the entire train.
it kinda sounds like a class 377 but just more pitches and phases
The LIRR propulsion sounds a bit different near the bogies
Might be useful to have a speedometer in front of the camera, to correlate sounds with speed
I know this is very late but the sync kicks in at 31mph
How is the sound made?
The motors that move the train
Alternating current electrical traction motors and the propulsion drive system.
This train sounds really cool. Also, ever listen to a class 365? Or a class 387 in the uk? Sounds just as strange tbh
Me: hears rail clatter with brakes
What I'm actually hearing: the video
I agree
Is this the same as the MNR cars? You already did a video on those cars. What an effin megalopolis buff
lmfao
@@FanRailer btw......sweet invite bro
LOL don't you have work??

touche. and yea, most of the lirr m7s sound like someone unscrewed a few things in the truck and left it loose like that.
