- There's nothing worng about this SoundStage module. In fact, it's a brilliant fully analog design that helps you to layout a complex many-source mix into a balanced soundscape. The Soundstage works like an imaginary 2D stage where the high frequencies (hats/cymbals) would go to upper left/right and the low frequencies (bass/kick) in the lower center. You'd put your guitars and synths in the middle rows. Each row has its own filter characteristics, so there's plenty of room for all sounds to coexist. If you happen to own a big rig with lots of sources, this is a great module!

Yet again another Mind bending exploration, plethora of Modules, configurations used, excellenti

Many thanks👍👍👍🆒🎶🎶🎶🕸⚡️🌟🌟🌟🌟
Synthbox is so under-rated, especially with series 1 bitbox's relatively cheap in the used market. The wavetables are Serum compatible and much higher res than those used in a lot of other eurorack modules. Tons of modulation options as well. I do wish there was a way to defeat to built in volume envelope. I often just mult 5v into each of the triggers and use my own vca's.
Thanks for sharing. Totally agree! I really need to experiment some more with loading wavetables from other sources.
Big fan of WORNG Soundstage. 👍
Me too, but at the end of the video I kind of figured out I was using it the wrong way. I'll revisit it again with a patch as intended by the designers.
hi, great videoo as usual. have you racked 0-coast and strega by yourself? have you a video to explain this? thanks
Thanks! Yes, there's a video here: ruclips.net/video/3Rcvso9BqCg/видео.html
I've been looking at this mixer. I don't quite get how you're doing the panning, is it like, for example, you pan externally to two outputs, and then patch those to opposite ends on the same row in the mixer?
Indeed, you'll need to pan externally. Simple modules like ModDemix (cheap) has two normalled inputs so it's super easy to use it as a CV controlled panner. Then of course there are dedicated panners and with a Intellijel Planar II you can pan around the stage with quad outputs. Mutable Frames can do it too.
@@CinematicLaboratory thanks. I'm waiting for an x-pan.. and a shared system, your channel has been an education. Thank you
Seriously, you should strike a deal with MN, I can't believe you've had to wait on preorder for a 0-ctrl
How did you make the Los Angeles 2019 sound to weird, feels really awesome! Could you share how you made it? Thanks
I would gladly explain if you could give me some more info. Do you mean the weird synth or the atmospheric backdrop? I've added a link to the Realms video which kind of explains the atmospherics.
@@CinematicLaboratory I mean the part that you play on the Arturia around 2'39'', which soundly like wobble on pitch, and the texture of it is really grabbing the attention.
@@joshuahu1721 I made it in Synthbox with an envelope linked to one of the 3 oscillator's pitch. So every time I play a key, you get a wobble. You could do something like this with any complex oscillator or use two single oscillator voices.
@@CinematicLaboratory Thanks for the tips!
Not for me, I only do mono.
Yes, this module is totally not for you :).
@@CinematicLaboratory If they were a photographer, they'd look at a flash unit and scoff "I only use natural light."
There's no use offering a swiss army knife to someone who has decided that all they ever need is a stick.
