Disagree with positioning of 1 and 2. The South African is a proven vehicle used in several conflicts. It was designed in the 80s and not the 90's. Secondly the Archer is not really a proven weapon in combat. It does not have the 30+ decade combat proven reliability than the South African SP artillery piece.
Big bore cannons on trucks is an old trick. In WW II, Germany had 88mm ACK mounted on the larger halftracks. With special lights, Vampyr units could operate in the dark..

The comand with a correction if needed now arrives to you and 10 sec later you fire 6 rounds in 40 sec. Together that is 400 kilo of steel delivered. One can ofcourse start with 6 rounds in 40 sec if the distance is short (25 km or less).
Why is the Archer in first place? Yes, 8-9 rpm is good, the MRSI is the best and it has 20 ready-rounds, which are all nice. But they also have mediocre speed (which, admittedly doesn't mean much) and bad range compared to all the rest (literally half some of the other ones on the list). It probably has great Scandinavian off-road capabilities, but what sets it out? A single extra MRSI round?
As you just noticed, the range and speed aren't so important here. The MRSI, shell range, RPM and all the gun related specs are the most important part. You can easily solve the range problem moving it by air or a simple refuel. It's something to value of course, but less compared to the other specs :)
Great video! I like the new voice over a lot. China though... They already have tracked howitzers but they still want wheeled artillery too? I'm confused... Also have you checked out Rheinmetall's proposals for the Challenger 2 LEP? I'm really hyped!
Thanks! The China howitzer is meant more for export I think :) Yes the Rheinmetall's proposal is being around from a while. I think this time can become something real ;)
One of the most diffference is the weight of both systems. Tracked can carry more armor and ammo in contrast the wheeled systems are lighter. The wheeled SPA can be transported by planes and are more mobil. I think it's depends on the tactical nature or the force. Tracked for the tanks units and wheeled for support of mechanized infantry units for example.
@@TheTimer81 with the ranges of these guns, the artillery need no longer travel with the armour as in days past. in fact during the Angolan war the G6 was far ahead of the 'front line'. As for the armour and ammo, check out the G-6, it is better armoured than most tracked vehicles, can survive mines, has 42 ready rounds and is extremely mobile.
No! My error! I updated the video already one year ago more or less! I think (and hope) the newer version is better (for sure more accurate), check it out if you want :)
Well at least the Archer might sell. I like the way the guy doing the voice over. Says emphatically the Archer is the best SPH in the world. Notice, no American guns there. G6 Rhino $ 1.1 million less than Archer, greater range, in everything. This product came into being in the 1980's people.MLRS made the SPH obsolete. Or so we thought, I reckon the new Russian SPH has a 100km range, matching well not quite a MLRS. The Boxer and the Norinco look daft. Actually i would take a MGS Stryker with a 105mm gun over those two.
There are no American guns here because they don't have any wheeled active howitzer at this moment. The Stryker, for example, is a mobile gun system, different kind of machine with a different purpose.

One can ofcourse start with 6 rounds in 40 sec if the distance is short (25 km or less).
I will not comment on your poll, but a lot of your data is wrong, did you google them or look at sales brochures?
which one is best for home defence?
Muito bom ❤👍😏
GOOD VID THUMP UP.
nice videos
Thanks!
The China howitzer is meant more for export I think :)
Yes the Rheinmetall's proposal is being around from a while.
Forget about Mustangs and Comaro's, these are the real muscle cars.
I like it bro 👍
The G6 from S.A. was developed over the 1970s and produced in 1980s.
Most were sold to Kuwait,Iraq by ANC government to bolster their RDP.

Have you heard about the french AUF1?
Yes you can find it in the TRACKED version of the list :)
...pretty snazzy.
The swedish one is just a heavy site rear tipping dumper(moxies as there know to most in UK) with a big ass gun bolted on nice bit of kit though
Il tuo accento... non lo puoi nascondere 😊
Your voice is nice

that feeling when you must turn off the sound because...... :D
small mistake BOXER AGM is not artilery gun model, but autonomus gun model
G6 was produced from 1988, not 1999.
correct, but i think he is talking about the 52 calibre and not the 45's. but I believe there is a 55 one out.
10:48 Archer uses a smoothbore gun?
No! My error! I updated the video already one year ago more or less! I think (and hope) the newer version is better (for sure more accurate), check it out if you want :)
@@DarthDesigner Thanks for your reply, I will check out the new version.
That Israeli ATMOS has a range of a 1000 kms?? ...what the hell does it run on? ...AIR??
Israeli secret system, Israel is planing to invade the entire middle east so they need to be able to go from Jerusalem to Bagdad.
Nora🔥🔥
you talka, I listena
😂
The Stryker, for example, is a mobile gun system, different kind of machine with a different purpose.
well only 1 customer so far with 2 cancelling orders.
Nothing wrong with your voice over. It just takes a little bit of time to get used to. Data is on the creek if I don’t get the pronunciation.
Thank you!
PzH2000 from Germany is the best howitzer.
I can already imagine electromagnetic gun carrier
It would be amazing, and you can actually see something searching for the General Atomics Blitzer Railgun ;)
Please check your data, russia has 70km range mobile artillery
They have but they are spreding the shells from 66 to 70 km in length and up to 4 km in side.
it is still undergoing testing and is a tracked system
And where is "Krab" from Poland?
Its a copy of gvozdika

Well, I suspect this guy has no idea what the smoothbore gun is.
Yes I have
@@DarthDesigner you mentioned quite a number of guns that have riffled barrels
Wrong datas. No machine is having range of 500-1000 kms.its not a missile.
