ASMR Mixing paint (oddly satisfying)

There are a lot of ASMR or satisfying videos involving mixing paint on RUclips. Some of them are simply excellent when it comes to the visual aspect. However I haven't been able to find a video with mixing paint, that would combine beautiful visuals with nicely audible sound. It is mainly because of the fact that mixing paint barely makes any sounds, and it is really hard to capture them. I think I managed to make a video in which both the visuals and the sound nicely complement each other creating an effect, that surely has some relaxing potential.

you only ever dip the tip in the paint, so it doesn't work its way too far up the brush. you never want paint all the way up in the metal collar.

When I was in highschool I'd always fall asleep in art classes, not because I hated it, I loved it. I was always incredibly relaxed and couldn't ever get projects finished, 10 years later I find ASMR and now understand why I always fell asleep.

He actually uses like 5 different ones positioned differently and mixes the together. You can hear a lot of depth because of it, and Mr. Surge seems to know what he's doing when processing the audio.

I must say you are one of the ASMRtists that truly knows how to satisfy your viewers. The high quality, the gentle sounds, the peaceful silence without any unnecessary talking. Exactly what ASMR is really about.
Unlike some people who misuse this term just to put themselves on the internet and to show their bodies and lick stuff and ruin the reputation of ASMR community.

yes but having it at all, especially for an extended period of time, ruins the whole relaxation of the video. Imagine your favorite ASMR video, but where they randomly scream in the middle of it. It would ruin the whole thing, even if it's short.
If i do skip the wood parts it's great, but i'm usually listening to ASMR in the background, not focusing on the video the whole time

Doubt you'll see this, but if you ever wanted to make an improved version of this vid, I suggest alternating between the aggressive stippling and some calmer, long brush strokes. The abuse those brushes suffered made me kinda tense. Less paint will help highlight the brush noises. Maybe find paint brushes that jave a harder bristle instead of soft ones like in the vid. (Best day of art class was the day we had to paint with toothbrushes... the sounds were heavenly) Also a dry, coarse brush on a canvas is a very nice sound.
These are just suggestions, not demands. Please keep up the good work making awesome vids :)

the audio mixing in this is absolutely insane. my headphones aren't particularly bassy - more flat if anything, but the sounds whenever anything got close to the mics were basically equivalent to having my ear literally picked and prodded at. amazing work
Honestly this is the only kind of video I feel like I could sit and legit watch 4 hours of non-stop. Not only did this sound amazing from the very beginning, but it was so satisfying and relaxing to watch. This video made my day, okay.

rhaeys I love seeing wasted paint for some reason. For anything else it'd make me upset, but a lot of random paint used for something that's not really painting makes me content

rhaeys plenty of paint out there. Plenty wasted on talentless "painters" this is not a waste, a video can last forever if stored proper, thus this paint he used is getting some great use.
That slight fine graininess is great, and the liquid sound is wonderfully subtle.
I feel like you put a lot of effort into making sure that the volume of the different sounds are consistently at the same level...which I am SO grateful for. It really minimizes the really harsh sounds that completely ruin any asmr reaction for me. You are fantastic, and thank you!

Most of the art I make is paintings. Water color and acrylic. Thev way he was using the brush, I could feel my soul being set on fire, then buried under snow, and then being crushed with a hammer. 😂

Interesting how most of my favorite sounds in this video are the mediums like brushes and palletes rubbing against each other and not the paint itself. And the lid sounds are to die for

If you’re looking for the sounds and the looks, I suggest tumblr and instagram. There are some really nice videos there that have both aspects. I especially like the glitter paint for the cronch noise it makes.
