Seth, I really appreciate that you chose to do against the odds as against the odds rather than make a tier deck with busted cards. It's great and I loved it.
Both cards were printed in the very same set, so the somewhat unusual ordering of dealing damage before bringing the creatures back was likely an intention decision to avoid this exact interaction.

I was hoping for a loss because of The Wanderer being removed in response to Command the Dreadhorde. But considering how little the combo happened I am happy with how this went anyways.
Honestly, I appreciate the deck building philosophy of building your deck to the power level of who you're playing with (or, in this case, to the power level of "Against The Odds" decks). My favourite format is essentially kitchen table/eternal, with a more casual flair (so really nothing that would be considered truly competitive in any major format), and with that in mind I often have to not go for the most powerful cards, because they're not casual enough. But don't get me wrong; I actually love being able to build like that. It's great getting to play archetypes that would never otherwise see the light of day. I've even managed to get a couple of wins with my stupid, stupid goat tribal deck. :P
@@xaropevic7918 Well it's definitely not nearly competitive! :P It was years ago now, but it was built largely around Springjack Shepherd and Soul Foundry; Soul Foundry to get heaps of Shepherds, and Shepherd as a card capable of producing tonnes of tokens. Eldrazi Monument and Coat of Arms as finishers.

It's 21 nonlands (and 4 lands; I'd say 4x Springjack Pasture is almost a requirement for a goat tribal deck :P ); just need ~15 more nonlands that help the deck out as best you see fit. For those, you can either go with more cheap goats (there's a 1 and 2 mana changeling that work well), cards that ideally provide card advantage but also chroma/devotion, or cards that protect your permanents, especially your artifacts (Soul Foundry will take you far if it imprints a Springjack Shepherd and sticks around, but you lose a lot of potential if it gets destroyed). Helm of the Host is a card that didn't exist at the time and can be used for something similar, without risking the raw creature to exile - in fact, it may even be the better option nowadays as white can easily include a couple cards as a just in case for cards that go to the graveyard (Trading Post can already get back an artifact by sacrificing a creature, and you could run either Conqueror's Galleon or an Emeria package to get back creatures). Nonland 4 Metallic Mimic (2 mana 'goat' that lets other goats entering the battlefield enter with a +1/+1 counter; great for tokens) 4 And They Shall Know No Fear (2 mana instant that makes your goats indestructible) 4 Mirror Entity (3 mana 'goat', legit wincon for odd tribes like this, especially if they're token based) 4 Springjack Shepherd (4 mana 1/2 creature that essentially creates goats equal to your devotion to white) 2 Trading Post (4 mana artifact that can make a goat for 1 life and 1 mana) 3 Soul Foundry (4 mana artifact that you imprint a creature card on, and can then make token copies of that card - primarily for Springjack Shepherd) 2 Eldrazi Monument (5 mana artifact that makes your creatures bigger, gives them flying and indestructible, and only has the requirement of saccing a creature - probably a token - each upkeep) Land 4 Springjack Pasture (turns goat tokens into mana and lifegain, and can also make them, though expensively)

If you wanted to make the deck good you could cut the Sunderings and maybe blue altogether to strengthen the main gameplan. Or maybe include cards like Glimpse the Unthinkable instead of mill creatures and add some wraths
I feel like this kind of deck would work a lot better in explorer than historic. You could replace the Sundering Titan with something else and use better lands while facing generally slower decks.
My brother, if you're looking for a cheap card similar to Raffine's Informant, please consider Evangel of Synthesis- I play them both in my Esper reanimator deck to great effect
this deck needs some ramp and/or land search to have any hope of actually casting the six drops at a meaningful rate. Something like the Restoration of Eiganjo would have helped considerably.
Also, it should be running like 27 lands, presumably cutting the sundering titans (which do very little) for the extra three plus some actual functioning manabase

Sadly it doesn't. Command the dreadhorde deals damage to you before it puts the permanents into play.
