My roommate and I were talking about how awesome the Wayans Family is. But we agreed that Damon MIGHT be the funniest. Marlon is loud and abrasive, Shawn is funnier than most people give him credit, and Keenen is a talented director. But Damon is so effortlessly funny it's insane.
Eddie Griffin is in my opinion one of if not the best at long standup gigs. I remember just watching 3 to 4 hour RUclips videos just being glued to the screen. He didn't just tell jokes he also showed a a deep critical thinking side to a lot of things. Like he was the opposite of George Carlin because Carlin loved showing how retarded civilization is. Eddie would just talk about something and make you realize how fucking strange life is. Only one who does something similar is Chappelle but Dave is just a comedy genius in my opinion who can do it all.
That part about Eddie Griffin being on stage for 6 hours gave me flags backs of the movie Foolish where they kept turning on the red light to tell him to get off stage but he keeps refusing to leave.
Anthony Jeselnik is GREAT. If you can make me hate you for your character, and want to hang out with you as a real person, you've perfected being in the eyes of the public. Keep it up Jeselnik.

Jeselnik is by far the best comedian. His style is the best. His jokes are the best. His jokes are clever and always funny. Never heard a bad joke from him. He makes other comics seem like amateurs to me

I saw Damon Wayans back when I was working at an Improv about 10 or 12 years ago, back when his son just started doing stand-up. As a way to promote his son and get him better crowds he would go on tour with him. And if I remember correctly, he was pretty damn funny. He was a little stuck up as far as being social with his fans or any of us employees. He walked in the Improv wearing headphones and not really talking to anyone. I remember him being real particular on what was going to be in the green room. He had to have a specific water (Fuji of course) and shit like that. But he was still funny though.

I'm 50 years old and have been a huge comedy fan starting with Rich Little. I absolutely never knew Rogan existed until Fear Factor. Still didn't know he was a stand up until three years ago and even then I thought he was just trying it out,lol. I had no clue he had this history of doing stand up.
To Joe's credit I have listened to him talk for hours and this show is just the greatest thing when I just want to chill the fuck out and talk about some deep shit.
In all seriousness Damon Wayans is the most underrated and important comic of the modern era. Hes never been the guy who acts like Kevin Hart to remind people of his track record every day...but his career (on stage, TV and film is staggering.

I listened to a Dave Chapelle set where he talked for 4 hours straight, and it was golden. Rogans right, it wasn’t straight jokes the whole way through, and he definitely went very slowly. But the thing about a comedian like that is that he has interesting things to say. It doesn’t have to be funny, listening to that set was like listening to an audio book, it was just interesting perspectives the whole way through

A lot of people thought he was going to be the next Eddie but really only one guy in that era had the potential to claim Eddies mantle and that was Chris Tucker IMO but that’s another story.

I'm 50 years old and have been a huge comedy fan starting with Rich Little. I absolutely never knew Rogan existed until Fear Factor. Still didn't know he was a stand up until three years ago and even then I thought he was just trying it out,lol. I had no clue he had this history of doing stand up.
To Joe's credit I have listened to him talk for hours and this show is just the greatest thing when I just want to chill the fuck out and talk about some deep shit.
In all seriousness Damon Wayans is the most underrated and important comic of the modern era. Hes never been the guy who acts like Kevin Hart to remind people of his track record every day...but his career (on stage, TV and film is staggering.

I listened to a Dave Chapelle set where he talked for 4 hours straight, and it was golden. Rogans right, it wasn’t straight jokes the whole way through, and he definitely went very slowly. But the thing about a comedian like that is that he has interesting things to say. It doesn’t have to be funny, listening to that set was like listening to an audio book, it was just interesting perspectives the whole way through

lajas44 I thought Damon went as far as he could. I always saw him as a low-ceiling guy. Besides The Last Boy Scout his movies mostly sucked. A lot of people thought he was going to be the next Eddie but really only one guy in that era had the potential to claim Eddies mantle and that was Chris Tucker IMO but that’s another story.
