@@DrMikeMetal It's weird that the autotune would throw off some of those moments pulling it obviously out of tune. I think maybe it starts interpreting things weirdly when it's trying to process chords .. multiple notes. It doesn't sound like you're doing anything other than hitting single note riffs in higher octaves. I wonder why that's happening? I had a crap bass I would put into autotune and I generally liked it because the intonation was severely messed up. It's funny what these plugins do .. fun to screw around with for sure.
@@Fiveash-Art Good reflection. I think adjusting the attack/release patterns and locking the tuning to a scale can help the out of tune issue. The chords are an another story because autotune is designed to be used in single notes. As the plugin tries to estimate a single note from a chord, the result is somewhat lacking. The math behind it (fundamentally, the fourier transformations) should allow the chord tuning as we've seen in products such as Melodyne.
