Well said, shame for your Welsh football fans though when the likes of Cardiff and Swansea go part time when they leave the English Leagues and join the part time Welsh Football league. Crying shame for Welsh Football.

I believe in Welsh independence but I also feel sorry for English people who have to put up with all the wealth going to London and London has ignored northern England maybe worse than Wales so maybe Wales gets independence and parts of England can come as well.

Support from America. My Ancestors moved on for greener pastures way before England started totaling the place, glad none of mine were there for the Welsh Not.

@@mrfrisky2997 The English put you there in the first place. I was always taught more the German and Irish side of the family and history, but I reckon you people are strong and can do withought. If England never came to Wales, you'd still have the vast resources they mined and stole carving out an overseas empire. You'd have a Prince that isn't a foreigner. You'd have an economy. England stripped that, just like they did the Irish. The Irish were poor as hell, they got independence in 20 years, and now look. If the Irish shared your sentiments, they'd still be ruled by Whitehall. England runs a trade deficit, you know. If Wales was to split off (with data from 2016), the nation would have a total trade surplus of around 5 billion pounds, made it 8 billion if it's been going up at the same rate as it was then. There is no reason to stay in the United Kingdom. Theoretically, as long as you never borrow a single pound from abroad, you would start Wales off richer than the UK, since they're in debt still, and it's something they will never escape. Wales has a chance. I can't say America cares about our own history in school, especially not another nations, but you should try and preserve your people's history, before it's sold for 30 pieces of silver. God bless America, and God bless our European cousins.

@@FirstNameLastName-is6yb Not a clue what you are on about....
What currency would Wales use? What about the NHS? - Wales cant afford to run it as its fully funded by the rest of the UK. Take it you arnt a football fan? You do realise the Welsh Steel Industry is subsidised by the rest of the UK? An independent Wales also couldn't afford an armed forces so the Welsh bases and support network in Wales that supports the UK Armed forces would all be lost. etc etc

@@mrfrisky2997 England put you there in the first place, remember this. It would be a hard few years. But you can't just surrender. The Welsh are Welsh, not English. They'll replace your people if you let them. Caveat emptor, loyalist.

I don't agree, but if what you say is true then all the more reason for Wales to become an Independent country as the deficit is with Wales under Westminster control. Most small western European countries are richer than England the UK is 22nd in GDP per capita according to Wikipedia.

The reason is they are often told a lot of fibs about places like Ireland and Iceland and don't realise how prosperous we are. I have taken friends to Ireland and their minds are blown, how we do things so different, our views are so different, how pro-EU we are, how nice all the cars, clothes, buildings, towns are. They are surprised at the motorways and dual carriageways, and the physical infrastructure. Of course there is homelessness like other countries, no country is perfect. That said the rates of homelessness and poverty are lower in the Republic than the UK.

If Estonia and Latvia can be independent nations, so can Wales. A lot of people want independence but are scared of the country's failure, we can create an economic union with England and maybe Ireland and Scotland or we could rejoin the E.U.

Perhaps an alliance between Wales, Scotland and Ireland could help soften a breakaway from England. That said it is a great unknown, but so is everything currently. Capitalism is going through yet another huge upheaval where it is moving away from democracy and is finding other vehicles to attach itself so that it survives. An independent Wales has as much chance of success as Britain post Brexit, which may not be saying much.

Rory, Wales has a greater chance than Brexit. It going to be a long road to putting structures in place, gaining more devolved powers etc.. but the potential to be like Ireland is very realistic
