Sabino Canyon Walking Tour - Tucson Area Virtual Treadmill Walk - 4k City Walks

- We are in Tucson for a couple days and we love to hike. Luckily Tucson has a ton of outdoor activities to explore. The trail to Seven Falls one of the great hikes near Tucson and is just on the edge of the city and very easily accessible. This virtual nature walk starts above the falls and I take you back to the shuttle bus stop. It's about 2.7 miles long.
The shuttle bus requires a ticket but takes you from the Visitor Center up to the trail head. You can walk that as well but it's out on the flat and if it's hot out, I'd recommend the shuttle.
I love filming these virtual walks for you all and I love getting feedback so please leave a comment with your thoughts. The next walk will be a proper City Walk in Tucson. Cheers and keep on steppin' -H

Hi Cheryl, thanks so much for watching and commenting. Tom has been a wonderful supporter of this channel for years. So much so I consider him a friend even though we’ve never met.
I’m so glad this walk brought back memories. AZ is a fascinating state and we can’t wait to go back to explore more. Cheers!
Henry
Nice to be back gone for a week and the down with the flu for another week. This was a great first walk back. Gotta tell you I really enjoy your commentaries.
Hi Doug, sorry you were sick but glad you are enjoying the vids. Keep on steppin. -H
Audio full on and cannot hear - sound is muffled. Audio not even at level1. Ytube or your audio?
Not sure. While I may have had the microphone under my shirt or jacket in some cases for wind, this was not the case here. It does sound a bit muffled to me on RUclips but not too different from the original. Not sure why your getting muffled sound. Have you tried reloading the page? Thanks for watching. -H
*-H have you ever tried Cactus water ? Apparently it contains a lot of electrolytes and is said to be good for your health ☺👍*
I think I probably have, but not straight from the source. It’s not something that I do regularly though. All the best. - H.
This looks great my friend, such a picturesque and atmospheric presentation!
Thank you! Cheers! -H
At 14:17 in the video the cactus on the left side of the trail is a Cholla. Also the one you did a close up of and said it was cool. It is good to keep your distance from them. They are painful if you get stuck. Enjoyed this video. We are from Port Townsend, Washington and we winter down here in Casa Grande, just up the road from Tucson at the junction of Interstate 8 and 10. Welcome to Arizona. We watch your video to get inspiration for towns to explore, especially in Montana. We loved exploring Livingston!
Thanks for that info. We went through Port Townsend several years ago and loved it. Very cool old buildings. Glad that these videos are helpful for you for finding new places to explore. All the best and keep on steppin’. - H.
When I was a kid, living in Kingman, Az for a couple of years, I would often take desert walks. One thing I remember being taught was to never pick up a rock. Instead we were told to kick it over first as a defense against venomous critters. I think the desert is a marvel of natural selection and adaptation. I saw you had some outlandishly cold temperatures in Montana. I saw -20 and wrongly thought it must be in Celsius. Take care, Henry.
Hi Tom, I’d forgotten that. Very cool. We are loving the warm weather down here and the different ecosystem. We’re having a great time. The weather actually got down to -30 Fahrenheit the other morning. We were on the road though. All the best and keep on steppin’ - H.
I have been wanting to watch this video since it dropped and I was finally able to view half of it today. I had no idea you'd see whole cacti forests on that trail - I found that very interesting. Absolutely beautiful terrain. I'm thrilled you are getting out and about again - I thoroughly enjoy your videos and am pleased you continue to provide your charming commentary. That's honestly the best part of these - your unscripted thoughts and opinions on what you are experiencing. Keep on steppin'. :) - Josanne
Glad you enjoyed it, Josanne. It's a beautiful canyon and fairly easy walk if you ever get the chance to go in person. I've been filming some other fun ones on this trip, though I always wish I could film more. Cheers. Keep on steppin' -H
Did you know that saguaro cacti are about 75 years old before they sprout an arm? I was in Tucson last October for the first time, and also was in Sabino Canyon! It was too hot to hike, unfortunately, but the shuttle was a great way to see some of the scenery. I was fascinated by the mountains and cacti, since it's so different from where I live in northern Wis. Thanks for another great hike, Henry. I love the nature walks!
Awesome. I did not know that. Thanks. All the best and keep on steppin’ -H
This was so beautiful. I was able to walk on my treadmill and forget it was 10 degrees outside! Thank you!!!!!
Wonderful! So glad it was helpful. -H
Like 55 👍💯❤
Big thanks -H
You brought to life my image of Arizona Henry. I would like to thank you for taking us to parts of the US some of us may never get to see
So glad to hear it. It's a beautiful part of the country in an austere way. My kind of place. Thanks for your support -H
Hello... Cholla is pronounced choy-ya. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the info and pronunciation. I need all the help I can get. -H
I was one of the tram operators few years back. Great job but the boss was nasty to all drivers, male or. female.
Sorry to hear that. It’s a beautiful place though. Thanks for watching. And commenting. - H.
Thanks yet again, Henry, for a fantastic video! 👏🏻😁
I kept thinking about scorpions and snakes, and your son hiking off of the trail.🦂 Are those critters out this time of year?
Great idea on the "gratitude journal!'
Appreciate your videos always!🙏🤜🏼🤛🏼

Glad you enjoyed it. The snakes are hidden away, I think, but the scorpions might be around. Still, not really as much of a danger as hollywood and books might have us believe. :-)
All the best to you guys. -H
@@CityWalks Ha! I bet you're right! Hollywood has shaped our thinking on the side of more dramatic.
Thanks again!
I am learning from you. I am just starting to walk around Towns and Village :)
I’m flattered that you have chosen my channel. Thanks so much and welcome aboard. - H.
Is this a pretty safe area to solo hike?
I would say so. Lots of other hikers around. -H
