Having a laugh is a bonus.
This guy is such a good teacher like hes telling some really good points and test her knowledge and that's key when u wanna be a good electrician cheers for the videos
The sexual tension is almost as intense as Dave Savery and Nigel
Ha ha ha!
Hahahahaha
Lol good comment !! 😂👍
Not sure its reached those heady heights yet, but its getting there. :)
That I can only give you a single upvote will be my biggest regret, you nagnificent beast. 😎
Never saw this much of Dave when he was around 😂
🤣🤣
Did dave get the bullet
has dave left the company
Lol stfu you fish.
@@user-vp7oj2rv2l yes dave has left and 2 new lads are starting soon
The answer Nom Nom was looking for as to why you disconnect the main earth is because of parallel paths 😉
My cringe meter is through the roof
Why 😂
So is his view count. This is better than a damn soap opera.
You seem like a good teacher tom. The way you test knowledge is great.
i cant wait for the 2021 Thomas Nagy Calender
Nom Nom better be on all twelve months photos
I bet the LockPickingLawyer will pick this steering wheel lock in about 30 seconds :)
Must be a good lock if it takes him that long.
4 is binding, click out of 5 😂
Nothing on 1, click out of 2...
Looking forward to a 30 second clip titled "[1652]Stealing and gutting an electricians Van with a Fork - Featuring Bosnian Bill"
@@ChoMar05 Let's not forget about HuxleyPig's talent.
I really hate to complain about anything but "Path of least resistance" ... *sigh* current will take all paths in proportion to each path's resistance. If something has significantly higher resistance (say a human body compared to a wire to ground) then it will carry nearly no current but will still carry some.
Yep. That was my understanding of it.
totally correct
I think the saying mainly comes from the fact that, in circumstances like human vs ground wire, the resistance difference is so great that the current the human will carry is so minimal it's not worth thinking about?
It seems the saying is more of a short cut. Instead of saying "The path that has the least resistance in comparison to the other wires will carry the highest proportion of current" you can just say "The path of least resistance" :P
I agree, except the current is in inverse proportion to the resistance of each path...
This is a sexual harassment in the workplace lawsuit waiting to happen 😂
"A few inches later".... Your not wrong 🤔
Tom is sooo smitten it’s unreal! Bet his Mrs is getting pissed off.
All my electrical training was at sea and I’m aware we’re weird as f**k in our approach, but, I was always taught to use one hand as often as possible. Especially when testing or mucking about in an enclosure. If you take a jolt with both hands in the circuit, the current is going to pass across your heart.
I’ve never been a huge fan of mature apprentices. They’re often too full of their own opinions. All credit to her though, she seems willing to listen and learn.
Chris Ryan best advice this month. I am the same.
Yup, one hand in your pocket is a good rule when working on live equipment!
To be honest I've found that with young apprentices as well over the past 30 years, some think they know it all so end up learning nothing!
@@Ragnar8504 especially when nom nom's around😂😂
to be fair at sea is a bit different, your literally standing on the earth conductor. (given most boats are steel)
Pretty sad how hard it is for a woman to start working a trade without people sexualizing everything
It’s kind of embarrassing how desperate and horny some of my fellow lads are🥴 anyone can pick up a trade, do it as a career and be high level at it with experience!!
Khade Ingham Snowflake alert
But she's as guilty as him. It could be argued she's OK with it.
Is the dance of the sexes, nothing more sinister than that.
Shes using it to her advantage.
lol god your a good teacher! 😊
you pair are the happiest and maddest sparkies ever! 😁😂😂 damn bril!
Happiest - definitely. Maddest - I think I might credit that tho David Savery and Nigel.
We saw most of this video last week. 😂
Perhaps this episode should be renamed to:
Blackadder Does EICR with "BOB" 😍 Cheers, Gordon
I love the way nom nom failed to tell you that you had all dirt on on your face 😅
😂
You 2 are like a comedy act lol
Would have liked to see more of the property and where it failed.
The way the Tough Book is able to detect the screen is closed without exposing the internal parts to water ingress is using a hall effect sensor (or less likely a reed switch) which detects a small magnet in the the other half of the clamshell. The Apple Watch has a magnet in it to lock the charging cable in place. This issue is not so common on newer laptops, although I can't speak to the Tough Book range, because they use a sensor in the hinge rather than in the palm rest, but this was definitely an issue on older laptops.
If Toms not flirting in this one, the Pope’s not catholic!
the Pope isn't catholic. ruclips.net/video/RMf4OtC7SXY/видео.html
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahaahahhaha
I have never run into someone who looks like that on a building site - never - those chicken legs are a disgrace Tom.....
Bet your good at you job...
It looks like them legs last saw some sun in 2003.
I’m as tall as him and I’ve chicken legs too, tall guys suffer with slimness it’s mostly genetic
Dave looks great after his surgery.
Non nom is that your pet name for her 🙈 The future Mrs Nagy lol
He has a Mrs I think
Shall I buy a hat 🤔
I bet your misses is getting a little worried 😂
Or asking for a 3some
Dont think hes with her now
@@pingu8666 I can't imagine why his missus kicked him out? The guy spends all his time at work and has even got an apprentice to help him what more can he do?
Missus is clearly gone .. I say “get a room”
@@pingu8666 Well, not since the first video went live, anyway. Second, tops.
Hi Thomas, can I check...(I'm not an electrician + I'm old (77) and dodgy) when using the multiplier of 1.666 for the calculation for the R2 value, it is only valid for a CPC csa of 1.5mm, but 1970's wiring could have had a 1mm CPC, therefore the multiplier would then be 2.5. Based on your reading of 0.55 ohms for R1, the R2 value would in that case have been 1.4 ohms or thereabouts (I don't know what value you had for your R2 reading as you didn't mention it in thee video). Cheers, Gordon
This is one kick ass smart lady, she is going places. Hope it all works out. He will be heartbroken if she leaves.
Great video as usual. Love the white leggings you’ve got on 🤪
Tom, for the radio in your van try calling someone and then hanging up, my vivaro will just cut out every now and then but if you call someone it comes back
Naomi is literally a dream girl
What's the radio set hanging from the ceiling of your van at the start of the video?
BigPinkJohn it looks like a network radio
Is that fuse board still on at the main switch? If so, is that not a lot of exposed live parts being worked on? Just curious....
You two crack me up, and Nom Nom has a great laugh!
i dont know about the UK, but nom nom here in the usa is definatly not what u can call a female employee. nom nom is slang for eating, nom nom nom nom.
It's the same in th UK
It's the same in the UK, and I'm betting she knows that and that's why she chose the name.
what you call a 'female employee' is just called an 'employee' in the uk
That’s the point.
I fucking love how you and Noms feed off each other for innuendos and jokes. I swear Tom, she's you in female form. lol
Hi
I enjoy watching your videos and learning at the same time keep it up you’re helping so many people want to be in this industry thanks
I have a question on VoltageDrop
It’s on a ring circuit 21*32*106/1000 = 71.23v but in OSG in the final circuits it’s a pass
Please can you Explain thanks
Tom I like her great sense of humor.
tom your lot more chilled love it
Great video guys, thanks for the entertainment
Sometimes it's x 2.5 not 1.67 depending on size of cpc
When??
@@captainnutshot7347 when it's old twin with a 1.0mm CPC.
I realised I definitely watch too many UK spark vids when I immediately remember 1.67 off the top of my head watching yet another EICR video - I do pretty much all my work in places where earths are full-sized up to 16 mm2 and usually even above so there's no need for me to remember that figure.
theres also 2.67 when you have a 4mm ring with 1.5 earth
Love it as usual keep up the bloody good work 😇😇👍
Worth a look on your radio in the settings - I used to drive a Renault truck, and every now and then it would switch off the internal amplifier for no apparent reason
Nomi really does spice up ur videos
So why did it fail please
Nice video Tom!
The last comment I made on your previous video was "Top Tip, record results onsite!" then you forget the Laptop! 😂
p.s. Naomi did basically say removal of earth for test was to eliminate parallels, however you did get her on nulling the croc clips 👍.
GREAT TEAM, looking forward to Nom Nom schooling Tom on camera with an electrical knowledge nugget or 10!
Why test live-earth and then neutral-earth?
The recommended way is to join live and neutral together, then test to earth. It'll save blowing anything sensitive up as well.
Also, you don't 'work out' r2 you calculate to compare to what you've measured.
Tom showed in a previous video that that's exactly what they're doing, calculating R2 beforehand to serve as a sanity check for the R2 measurement.
Remember when you join two leads you're no longer testing isolation between them. Way too many forget & dont get teached correctly in school
@@HawaiiBeach_
I'm sorry mate, you'll have to run that one by me again.
@@MicraHakkinen
Yeah, I thought I remembered him saying that previously. His choice of words seemed strange, presumably it was just a figure of speech.
@@casperme6552 I think he means as soon as you join L and N you no longer measure IR between L and N but that's not the point - the point is measuring L - E and N - E in one go instead of one after another as Nom Nom does here. L - N testing is only recommended if you haven't got any loads connected because you could easily blow something up.
Parking ticket? put it on the invoice!
Love these type of videos and keep them coming 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻🏴
You got a new steering wheel lock ?
27M... that is a great value - compared to an old water soaked sarge scale coal mine lift dc motor reading 150k fully in service ans sparking like hell. The inverters did not care and kept on pushing :-). Seen in a museum installation up and running some years ago.
That was a sub main supplying that board would of been nice to see you measure the incoming ZE and then the ZDB
Haha, after reading some of the comments, it's no wonder they both play up for the camera! Does he fancy her? Probably, does she fancy him? Who knows, are they both single? Who knows. Who else does it concern? No fucker! You seem like a good teacher Tom, explaining everything well, you both seem to get on and work well together and can have a laugh!
Im waiting for stars to appear soon. Im just going to probe this fuseboard, star appears over fuseboard. Oooooh yes. Thats the reading Im after.
When are we going to see you in a vest🤣🤣
Nice to see you again mate.. little tip.. leave your hazzards on and put a loading sign in window.. 9_10 i dont get a ticket
She's understanding Ze better than Toms explaining it. Bit tough questioning her whilst filming.
Great video guys!!
6am starts are the good shift at our place 🤣
What's the radio in van, the top of frame at the start of.the video.
I wish we had more more fun on jobs like this 😝
Think Tom is doing something else other than an EICR tbh
How do you make any money? Its meant to be twice as quick with 2 people on the job not twice as long...
Nice chicken legs Tommy! How many lumens do those bad boys provide your customers?? Does Nom have to wear sun glasses around you!? Hahah those bad boys are lethal! 😂😂🔥🔥
LOL. those shorts sure wouldn't fit on me at all and not from being overweight.
About your radio, I'm wondering if they will do it under warrenty, because you did your own service, the warrenty might be void. Be interesting to know what they say.
It’ll be a 1 year warranty on the radio, same bullshit on the Vauxhall version of the van. Well, actually, the Renault is just a Vivaro with the diamond stuck on, all thrown together in the same factory in Luton
Next video secret camera in the van with Niomi. I think we need a Q & A with her as well.
A 10:07 video of Tom flirting...
That’s one of the strangest locations for a dis-board I’ve seen in a while!
"10 past 6, you don't want to be doing what I'm doing". I've been on site for nearly an hour by then sometimes, still want to do what you do, in a round about way!
Isn't the point of doing an EICR of a ring main is to make sure that you have a continuity on R1, Rn and R2 instead of calculating as you might not get continuity on all 3, then it would be a fail
exactly, but you still need to calculate what r2 should be from your r1/rn reading to make sure the reading you attained while testing is around where it should be
this was a really strange pron
educational
I can tell this is gonna be a good one 🤣🤣🤣
Edit: Wasn't wrong 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏
She did get the question right the first time, although she didn't actually say " parallel paths" she got the reason you remove the main earth right. What year is she in at college?
I'm assuming an RCBO board will be going in 👍
Well done Naomi. I’m sure more testing times ahead 👍👏
Oh come on, Nagy can't be THAT bad to work with....or do you mean resisting all the flirting 🤣
My guess is the average playing time of this video is 4 minutes 42 seconds, until you move the camera :P
I still want to know what toolbelt excatly she is using
>A few inches later
>Next scene is Naomi adjusting her tool belt and work trousers
"heads up peanut bar"
So that's what you call it ;)
3.58 Nagy getting eye full!
Never, ever, ever seen a spark like that on my site! 😍Nom Nom.
Hey Tom where in the hell did you find her? cause I think she cool?
Ticket or no ticket? ... that is the question
Love it
Nice job and video
Wow, that is a pretty serious steering wheel lock. Haven't seen something that extreme.
I wish people would not repeat the misleading mantra that current follows the path of least resistance. Current follows all possible paths in inverse proportion to the impedance of each path. The greatest current will follow the path of least resistance, but it seeks out all paths.
I like her vest....is it Snickers?
Apologies for the swearing but I think it’s quite appropriate for this channel 😂, where the fuck did you get that oil/dirt whatever it is on your face from??? 😂
It's a good bit of bantter it's funny
Why the reupload of last week's content?
The new APPRENTICE OR JUST TIME SERVED? Gen question
Sooner or later... 😂 😂 😂
Any tips on doing the nvq
What year you doing?
Good video your legs are as pale as mine didnt think possible lol
Nom Nom is just effin smashing! xD
She looks like a young version of Joe Jett!
After watching this it would be interesting to know why it failed..
I’ve also got a croc on
that "disklok"..... about 11 seconds more to thieve the whole van LOL.. but then again the people out for theft are usually not very smart nor sober.
