We had to edit this video because it kept getting blocked by NBC Universal for some reason. Not sure if we will have to do this for the rest of the series as well 😢
"The Cake is a Lie" is a meme from Portal; throughout the game, the robot you're trapped with continually hints that there will be cake if you complete all the puzzles. And the Major's "I love War" speech is just SOOOOOOOO good!
@@brucechmiel7964 maybe because english is not my first language, but the abridged speech is hard to comprehend with his accent (and also kinda cringe imo)

After enduring over half a century wallowing in the darkness, for us, a simple "ordinary" war will no longer be sufficient. (Raises voice) We need a MASSIVE war! A war beyond any other that man's history has ever known! We are but a single battalion... The remnants of a defeated army numbering less than a thousand strong. However, I believe that each of you old warriors is equal to a thousand of their sickly soft children! We represent a force that could easily defeat an army of a million and one men! It is time for them to awake the ones who sent us screaming into oblivion, and who now lie sleeping. Let's drag them out of bed by the hair, and remind them of what we are! We will remind them of what it feels like to live in fear. We will remind them of the sound our jackboots make against their throats. We see the lights of Europe!" while looking out at scene below, and then meeting of Hellsing and Integra, before cutting back to The Major) Our Kampfgruppe of one thousand vampires is going to burn this world down to ash. (Cuts to window scene) Yes, my friends! Soon, Europe's charred remains will illuminate the night sky! (Cuts to window with Seras and Pip) I have brought you all back just as I promised I would. Back to our favorite battlefield. Back to our beloved war! (The Letzes Battalion hail the Major as their Battalion Commander.) ...At last, the sea lion has crossed the ocean and is heading up the hill. Attention, all soldiers of the Millennium Battalion! This is a message from your commander. …Friends... let’s bring them hell.
The fun thing about the Major is that - he really does love war, so much so that he made sure ahead of time to pick one he would never be equipped to entirely win so it would go on forever.
I'm glad you caught that they played ACDC Shoot to Thrill in there. In the original video they had Alucard's flight with that song, but due to copyright they had to mute it.
Schrödinger is a fascinating character in this series. His ability is tied to his name, which is based on a Paradox experiment of the same name: Schrödinger's Cat. Pretty much the theory is if a cat is left in a box with poison for an hour, it could either be dead or alive, but considering no one can see in the box, the cat is both alive and dead. So, in other words, Schrödinger here is a Paradox character with an incredible power of pretty much immortality. Unless he wishes to die, that is. 📦⚗️🐈♾️
Everything about Schrodinger is supposed to be confusing and paradoxical. Boy? Girl? Straight? Gay? Good? Evil? No spoilers, but he could have been a good guy with what he did in the end.
The Blackbird is legit THE most successful aircraft ever built. Capable of flying at speeds and heights far exceeding that of other aircraft and missiles. If I remember correctly, there was only one time one was even hit, and even then it made it back mostly intact. They were eventually put out of service not because something better was created, but simply because maintenance became too expensive.
That, and satellite resolution increased to the point where there was little a mach three flyby could accomplish that a satellite pass couldn't. Truly an awesome piece of avionic history, though.
15:34 Her full title is “Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing”. Yes, she’s called a “Sir” despite being a woman. And you’ll learn Police Girl’s name relatively soon…
@@AzguardMike Now, in our world, yes. But, the Hellsing universe diverged from ours a few hundred years ago. It's not much of a stretch to believe that the term Dame never came about.
Funfacts about Rip van Winkle i know. - Rip shares her name with Rip Van Winkle, the American folk hero. In the short story, Rip is a local layabout in colonial America who drinks some magical moonshine that makes him sleep for 20 years. He wakes up in a post-colonial America, confused by the now freed America and new world. Aside from his name and a flintlock hunting rifle, something important that Hellsing’s Rip shares with her literary namesake are time-displaced. The Nazi vampire Rip never drank any special booze or slept for decades, but as the American Rip, she’s a person out of time. Rip is a vampire who stopped aging sometime in 1945, and she’s been mentally stuck in that era ever since. - Before Genshin Impact popularized the title with its unlockable achievement, Hellsing: Ultimate gave the German opera Der Freischütz (i.e., The Hunter) some popularity. Rip’s stint in Hellsing is literally an abridged version of the German epic, and it’s anything but subtle. Der Freischütz told the story of Kaspar (read: Rip), a hunter who struck a deal with the demon Samiel (read: Alucard) for a magic bullet he uses to win a shooting competition. A major divergence is that Rip never made a deal with Alucard, but she dies anyway. The anime ramps up the parallels by showing Rip sing bits of Der Freischütz, having The Major compare her to Kaspar, and playing a brief snippet of the opera during her fight against Alucard.
From the Hellsing Fandom, her full name is Sir Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing. A noblewoman of the Protestant Knights. So when Walter says "Sir Integral", he's using her title with that. Loving your responses!
Integra is knighted, so her full address is Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, since you wanted to know what came before "Integra". Loving y'all's reactions and cant wait to see more!
I want you guys to keep watching this series so please keep in mind that you have to avoid the music at all costs or you wont be able to upload. Much love 💕
"Do You Even READ My CHRISTMAS LIST?!?" love it 😂 9:50 yes that was ACDC specifically Shoot to Thrill, but TFS had to mute it do to Copyright, but the original un-muted cut is in their Twitch channel. It's how I showed this series to my Dad since we finished the original anime and him being a fan of ACDC I thought he would have appreciated that
I would say that even though it's an abridged still and jokes will inevitably be made, this is where it kinda aligns itself with the original canon very closely. TFS does an amazing job keeping the lore intact still somehow
This Abridged is perfect, cause the personalities align heavily with the characters. Alucard is an asshole, and loves messing with everyone. And it's portrayed so in the abridge. But at the same time, it's different sides of the same character. Again, using Alucard as an example. They changes some of the serious events, where Alucard get's very upset. Such as last episode, when he talks about the swat team that broke into the hotel, and says the last one "Pussed out like a bitch". It the Abridge, he's still grinning like an idiot. But in the original, he gets pissed as fuck. As if the guy was killed by Alucard, he would have went to heaven. But cause he committed suicide, he was damned to hell forever. The story is still intact, the motivations, quarks, and faults of the characters are still in tact. They, the Abridged team, just took the personalities, and cranked them to the extreme in fun ways to make it more funny. Honestly, I still uphold that the original is the more better and epic version, tho the abridge is the funnier of the two, and that people should watch and experience BOTH versions to truly enjoy it. It shames me, that most people only watch the abridge, and never go watch the original. It's a crying shame, cause like I said, I view the original as the better version, if a bit less funny and much more serious.
The consistent look of shock and awe throughout this video is absolutely correct! Though the abridged has more comedy, the actual anime is insane! I went back a rewatched the show not to long ago and man..😮😮. But please continue this journey!
'Sir' Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing. She has the title of 'Sir' because she is a knighted member of The Knights of The Round Table - the British men that were in episode 2 and in this one.
This is arguably the best episode imo, all of Alucard’s stuff, RIP Betty aka Queen Elizabeth II, the Van Winkle bits, and my favorite part, the Major’s speech, Lani nailed it
Funny I think it’s the episode TFS might dislike the most due to the lol so random girl route they went with Winkle. But it has a lot of strong moments. The speech being the obvious standout
@@TheShockVox I doubt it’s van winkle they disliked, probably more the headache with music choice and copy write. They made van winkle the way she is as a play on the annoying “lol so random” and idiot sjw types online at the time (and still currently) that preach all about acceptance and social justice but are extremely judgmental/filled with hate along with doing next to nothing (or even damaging those causes) about actual social problems. They disregard every criticism about their behavior as some form of ignorance from those criticizing and any criticism of their personality as “I’m just quirky and random lol”. As van winkle said “I command your respect” as how those people view themselves being better and deserving respect but in reality are just attention hungry children as alucard retorts “No you demand my attention”. Everything about van wrinkle was purposeful, and I doubt they regret her character.
@@NervonousThey regret it because this alleged “SJW pandemic” was never as widespread as you people say it is, nor were most of the things and complaints you THINK are “SJW” even remotely bad. Yes, representation does matter. No, not all criticisms are wrong. No, not all jokes are acceptable. It’s you anti-SJWs who can’t take criticism and plug your ears whenever we calmly point out problems in gaming and other media. And are there people who DO fall neatly into that whole SJW box? Sure, they’ve happened, they’re around, but it’s nowhere near the majority that you reactionaries make it out to be.
@@Nervonous They have explicitly said the regret how they wrote Van Winkle and that her writing has not aged well. During the creator commentary marathon, Taka cringed his way across the room at her first appearance.
it's sad they had to remove the AC/DC song from the episode 'cause it was copyright claimed and he didn't want to get a strike. it sucks too 'cause it really fit what was going on in that scene. I'm sure you can find a clip of it somewhere.
And the plot of the series has now been revealed. They absolutely nailed the comedy while keeping a lot of the brutality, like the whole self cleaning catboy bit. Side note, you will likely need to keep editing it, a lot of reactors get nailed by copyright claims and they actually had to edit it on their side to remove a lot of music. The scene on the boat originally played the AC/DC song all the way through.
Hope you guys get a chance to watch Red Vs Blue. The seasons have been rereleased into videos combined to movie lengths for each season. Might be easier than making individual episodes, but I don’t have channel control, so do what might be easier for you guys
two things to note but you probably know already, Lani; The guy who voices the Major did the "We are Nazis" quote from the 1st Abridged episode and he realised it was hilariously terrifying that he nearly started a rally when everyone quoted it word for word (This was in an Australian convention that it happened at too) the second is that Ripp van winkle is.....yeah she's a lot, most of it is just Tumblr humour
The word they say infront of Integra's name is Sir. She is Sir Integra Hellsing. A member of the Royal Protestant Knights of Great Britain. Just incase anybody wasn't aware. She's one of my favorite characters in the Hellsing anime, and even Walter is such a tragic character to debate over.
15:25 Integra is her first name. Integra has has been knighted by the Queen, so she has the right to be called Sir Integra. Lady Integra is her official title as head of the Hellsing household. Alucard of course has many other colorful names for her, but make no mistake about where his loyalties lie, and his deference to her. He gets away with what he can, yes, but she rules him and he likes it.
Sir Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing. If you watch the actual show before you watch the abridged version, you would know that she was knighted. It’s mentioned in this episode. And episode 2 All the people the in attendance in that room were members of the Knight’s court. Which was why the Valentine brothers were sent to attack Hellsing headquarters.
With all the stuff going on in Florida, Alucard could use a walk. Sadly, Alucard is stuck on that boat for the next few episodes. On the other hand, we'll have one of the best openers, the return of Anderson, and everybody else amping up their game! Grab the popcorn, because this is gonna be great!
1:36 ANNNDERRRSON!!! Yes! 2:20 still laughing at that one... 3:12 ahh, Alucard and the Queen, those two get along in this canon. 3:47 one of the most at least theoritically busted characters ive ever seen arrives. Schrodinger is such a treat. 5:09 actually yeah, they would. 6:52 I love the reference Rip van Winkle's powers have going for her. I believe this has to do with Der Freischutz (sorry if thats butchered typing), but it's been awhile. 7:40 I get way to much of a kick out of this one "nono, not a crusade... peacekeeping" 9:20 to think she was killing time singing "winter wrap up". 11:28 this upcoming sequence is great, but the original one to me is one of my favorite sequences in the entire story. it exemplifies this guys character, what he really wants. the original one is such a good villain/war lovers speech. there's a reason the Major is in a character list of ones i never forgot. this version is different, but still solid. 12:37 that line is perfectly delivered. 14:53 her delivery in the actual episode was rather similar, and like a sniper, she lined that shot up perfectly.
So, in case you haven’t read up on your vampire mythology, the joke about our car being stuck on the boat is because no vampire caption crossover running water. Just goes all way back to the first novel Dracula. So the joke about Alucard wanting to not miss anything is because he’s stuck in a boat.
Ah now I remember this episode and can understand why it caused you guys some issue. It's pretty touchy but a great episode imo. RUclips needs to get its shit together. Glad you guys were finally able to upload it!
Hey guys! Glad to see y'all enjoying TFS's work! If you two are ever looking for new anime to watch, I highly suggest either Gundam: The Witch from Mercury or Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans! Gundam is my favorite Mecha anime and I would love to see what you guys think of it! Hope you two have an awesome day!
I heavily encourage you to watch the Major original speech in the anime. it is one of the best 4th wall-breaking speeches ive ever seen in a show only rivaled by one in attack on titan.
Hey guys, been enjoying your reactions very much. So much fun reliving various series this way! As others have pointed out, the major's speech in the original show is really quite something. I'd also recommend Rip van Winkle's performance. They actually got proper German singing for the part. I do hope you check out the original series(ultimate, not original original), if on your own time. It's fantastic!
This episode unfortunately uses a lot of licensed music, so copyright issues are gonna happen. Its understandably frustrating, but ultimately possible to get around with proper editing, which i know is a pain.
Just to clear up any confusion, Rip Van Winkle's whole character in this abridged is 2000's internet memes/"lol so random!" humor, mixed with 2010's Tumblr feminism.
If it's video problems, it might be easier for editing to flip the video horizontally and fade it out a bit, then you just may to mute audio at points? That's how some other reaction channels get around it at points.
Sadly, I kinda expected this episode to run into trouble because of the copyrighted music no matter how much it was edited out. Any chance there was something else in the way besides the screwup-I mean, the algorithm’s judgement?
The thing is that it kept getting manual copyrights. Which means that someone at NBC universal reviewed the video and then slapped the copyright block on it. Not even a claim (which means the ad revenue goes to them and has been done before on some of our DBZA vids but we can at least show the full reaction). So a full block means we can’t show it at all and since it was a manual review it wasn’t RUclipss automation doing it. ☹️
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 it likely has something to do with the AC/DC song. Even TeamFourStar had to almost completely cut it out from their original ep4 a long time ago, leaving just a tiny bit in. The whole scene with the Blackbird to Alucard catching the bullet had the AC/DC music originally. In the Hall of the Mountain King was extended and added to the later version. That is why NBC Universal was going after it so hard. They own the rights to AC/DC music.
By the way, do you guys know about schrodinger's cat? Thats not a spoiler but if you don't know the concept the ending of this series will make little to no sense. Just a heads up, I saw a few reactions that didn't get the ending because of it.
There is nothing about this abridged series that makes me think, "I shouldn't watch the anime." Like, what the fuck was he laughing about at the end in the original? LOL
Love watching this again with you guys 😂 such a great parody, tfs really put their foot into everything they do. Also noticed the excessive editing, copyright laws really suck :(😢
Regarding the NBC stuff, the angry joe show may have some tips for dealing with all that nonsense. Also, TFS uses a VHS filter on their dbz abridged creator commentary vids, which might be something worth looking into, if need be.
The whole calling Integra "Sir" always bugged me as in the UK the correct term for a woman that has been Knighted is Dame so she should me called both Lady Integra as head of the Hellsing organisation and Dame Integra in the Round Table meetings a little detail but still
Rip Van Winkle is one of the characters TFS feels they kinda dropped the ball with, making her the way they did. Fortunately she's not a huge major character, so it's not too bad really. "The cake is a lie" is a reference to Portal, a puzzle game by Valve. Portal and especially Portal 2 is a game I think you guys could easily make a let's play series of as the sequel has a co-op mode. Not gonna dive into the meaning of that phrase any further as it is technically a spoiler. But hey, this episode confirms that Alucard is technically speaking a LGBTQ+ icon through multiple facets. Changed his gender at least 2 times making him trans-gendered at least temporarily and had an active relationship with both sexes as not only did he have a relationship with the queen when he was a girl, but also a BDSM relationship with Arthur Hellsing, Integra's father in the abridged version. For all we know, Alucard might look at the LGBTQ+ thing as a bucketlist more than anything. Something to do and occupy his time as an immortal vampire with. At the very least he has so far checked off the first 5 letters and who knows how many more after. I suppose in that sense it makes complete sense that Alucard doesn't mix well with conservative types like the Vatican, or the Nazi's. They really wouldn't approve of his lifestyle.
Another pretty hilarious thing to think about is that Rip is a "feminist" in this... but she is also literally a nazi lmao, so theres another layer of irony there
so something I highly doubt you two are knowledgeable about because it's something based on a very time specific thing, but Rip Van Winkle's personality is based on 2013 Tumblr with the "so random xd lol" humor and referential humor(specifically The Cake Is A Lie being a reference to Portal and the line "Rainbows, Tacos, Doctor Who, Homestuck" being a reference to the random humor elements of rainbows and tacos and the references to the extremely popular at the time of Doctor Who and Homestuck, like I said very 2013 tumblr joke, as well as the "check your privilege" lines are a reference to the 2013 tumblr cancel culture)
Sorry you had to edit so much out of this episode. I know how annoying RUclips and the rest can be about these things. Still, at least you finally got the video posted, and can continue the rest of the series. Sadly, though, you’ll probably have to do more editing for the rest. Stupid rule mongers. EDIT: Oh, I nearly forgot. Since you apparently missed the extra shorts, and I doubt you’ll react to them now, I may as well spoil/summarize them for you. Episode 3 Preview: Alucard starts off by laughing at the latest Marmaduke comic in the paper. Off-screen, Seras starts whining. “Master~! My boobs keep getting bigger~!” Alucard’s response? “GOOD!” Episode 3.5: Maxwell is interrogating another priest, who apparently betrayed the Church for Millennium. Needless to say, Maxwell is disgusted when he hears about the bribe the whimpering coward accepted (you can probably guess 😑). Said traitor is then swiftly executed by another character, who you’ll meet properly in Episode 5. (You really should watch this one. You’re actually on Maxwell’s side here, for once.)
Takahata had a lot of cringe watching the Van Winkle scenes and the jokes on the TFS Halloween marathon of the series. He believes it as more cringe now because the joke behind the character being essentially a literal tumblr/twitter feminazi was in the mood at the time but probably not so much now. Crazy though because a lot of people still roll at the whole bit so i think hes just a bit too cautiously apologetic over something that a lot of people do actually get a kick out of still when either rewatching or watching for a first time.
The problem is that most of that whole “haha feminists crazy” humor was often coming from a bad place. Conservatives would constantly blow up issues that either weren’t as big an issue as they made it out to be, or would outright make crap up for the sake of their hateful agenda. This got people thinking that there was some mass epidemic of SJWs trying to ruin your media and fun, and it was a mess and it’s just…yeah, I don’t blame the guy for cringing for taking part in that :/
Literally skipped the intro bcus theres an amount of vulgar from a cartoon you can take… I agree with you both about that character from the lst episode
Honestly, I think TFS did Van Winkle dirty here. In the original she's ballsy and dignified and defiant to the last in a way you almost respect. ...The TFS version is a VERY of-the-times tumblr takedown who sings the meme song and is desperate for attention, from an era where we were worried shit like Otherkin was signifying the downfall of society... and that the enemies of the past could never gain a foothold again. Jesus, we were naive...
Rip Van Winkle's entire thing is outdated niche internet references. They were cringy then, but the joke is fulfilled doubly-so because theyre even more outdated now. Her death is brutal but also strangely... erotic? Its more-so in the show. The blushing, the literal penetration of her rifle through her chest, and how Alucard delights in the drinking of her blood. Always struck me as odd but I can kind of understand the direction. Sinking your teeth into someone's neck is very intimate and they tend to lean into that.
All the way back to the original novel, vampires are unable to pass over running water or large bodies of water without their coffin and soil from home land. It’s why he was stuck there.
@@itsCaptainEli Maybe in Game of Thrones. "Sir" is much more commonly used in English (and is what is for people knighted in the real life Britain), and what the official translation is.
@shadowfate05 I've seen debate for it in irl culture as well. It's been written like that in manuscript ls as well, GOT mostly popularized the idea of Ser. I see language, and it's use as liquid, to be determined by the population using it, so ultimately both terms is really acceptable, but I prefer Ser to differentiate between a normal honorific like Sir, and a genuine knight. Edit. I should've been less hamfisted in my first reply. It comes across poorly. That is my mistake.
@@itsCaptainEli I mean, you can prefer it all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that in the official translations of the canon Hellsing universe, she's referred to as "Sir Integra".

And the feeling that comes when a soldier runs screaming from his blazing tank, only to be mowed down by heavy machine gun fire, is such an exquisite feeling. Like when ranks of infantry brandish their bayonets rushing into the enemy line. It moves me deep within my heart to watch a fresh recruit stabbing over and over into the bloated chest of a long-dead enemy.
The sight of deserters being strung up from a street lamp is an irresistible pleasure. And there is nothing more arousing than the sounds made by prisoners of war dropping like flies, screaming in agony as they're mowed down by ear piercing schmeissers!
When a band of pitiful resistance fighters makes their final stand with nothing but small arms, only to have their city smashed to atoms block by block by 4.8 ton bombshells, (tone suddenly softens) I'm in ecstasy.
I love it when my forces are ravaged by a Russian armored division. It's so sad to see towns and villages that were supposed to be defended at all costs, being laid to waste, their women and children being raped and killed.
I love to be squashed under the heel of the British and American war machines. The humiliation as my men crawl around like vermin, ducking the jagdbombers flying overhead.
Gentlemen... All I ask for is war, war so grand as to make Hell itself tremble. Gentlemen, I ask you as fellow brothers in arms what is it that you really want? Do you wish for further war as I do? (Voice begins to raise) Do you wish for a merciless, bloody war? A war whose fury is built with iron and lightning and fire? (Dramatically raises voice) Do you ask for war to sweep in like a tempest, leaving not even ravens to scavenge from this Earth!?
(The soldiers begin shouting/chanting "Krieg" meaning "War")
...Very well. Then krieg is what you shall have. We are a clenched fist, ready to strike down all who oppose us with our might.
But...
(Cuts to scene of Alexander Anderson looking up at Millenium's Zeppelin and the blood-red moon, before fading back to The Major)
We will remind them that there are more things between Heaven and Hell than are dreamt of in their philosophy.
(Cuts to soldiers shouting "It's Europe! We see the lights of Europe!" while looking out at scene below, and then meeting of Hellsing and Integra, before cutting back to The Major)
Our Kampfgruppe of one thousand vampires is going to burn this world down to ash.
(Cuts to window scene)
Yes, my friends! Soon, Europe's charred remains will illuminate the night sky!
(Cuts to window with Seras and Pip)
I have brought you all back just as I promised I would. Back to our favorite battlefield. Back to our beloved war!
(The Letzes Battalion hail the Major as their Battalion Commander.)
...At last, the sea lion has crossed the ocean and is heading up the hill.

The Blackbird is legit THE most successful aircraft ever built. Capable of flying at speeds and heights far exceeding that of other aircraft and missiles. If I remember correctly, there was only one time one was even hit, and even then it made it back mostly intact. And you’ll learn Police Girl’s name relatively soon…
She said her first name back in the first episode
Integra is a knight, so she is entitled to Sir.
It's not mentioned in the show that she is a knight as far as I can remember.
actually when a woman is knighted, she is a Dame, not a Sir or Ser.
Fun fact, the Major and the Professor are voiced by Abridged Vegeta and Goku respectively.
I want you guys to keep watching this series so please keep in mind that you have to avoid the music at all costs or you wont be able to upload. Much love 💕
Except the tfs originals. specifically Alexander Andersons song at the end of episode 8. Absolute banger.
@@brandonweiland1206and the credits at the end of 10
"Do You Even READ My CHRISTMAS LIST?!?" love it 😂
9:50 yes that was ACDC specifically Shoot to Thrill, but TFS had to mute it do to Copyright, but the original un-muted cut is in their Twitch channel.
10:08 "Well, that backfired"
Or, one could say, it BLACKFIRED, *badum-tss*
The consistent look of shock and awe throughout this video is absolutely correct! Though the abridged has more comedy, the actual anime is insane! I went back a rewatched the show not to long ago and man..😮😮. But please continue this journey!
Damn.. i forgot how weirdly cute Rip van Winkle was. Totally agree with you Lady Bethany
Also the CjdaChamp recap of Alucard: Black Air Force energy as well as the round table, should give those a look if you haven’t already
@@packered
Yeah Taka said it felt like an abridged character Ben Shapiro would write. And for obvious reasons, TFS isn't a big fan of him.
it's sad they had to remove the AC/DC song from the episode 'cause it was copyright claimed and he didn't want to get a strike. it sucks too 'cause it really fit what was going on in that scene. I'm sure you can find a clip of it somewhere.
One of the first reaction videos to this episode from 5-6 years ago still has the ACDC music. No idea how they dodged it, but it's neat.
I love the Major's War speech. It's SO damn good.
"The cake is a lie" is a reference to a game called Portal
Full Name of Integra is Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing. "Sir" is her title since she has been knighted by the Queen.
Hope you guys get a chance to watch Red Vs Blue. The seasons have been rereleased into videos combined to movie lengths for each season. Might be easier than making individual episodes, but I don’t have channel control, so do what might be easier for you guys
The part before Integra that you sometimes hear is her title of "Sir" because she is knighted.
Remember that part about Alucard being a woman fighting with a teenage Walter against the Nazis in World War 2, it'll come up again later.
Oh, Yandere Walter, you're splitting me in 2.
@@jessicajayes8326 Now do it another 3 million times!
two things to note but you probably know already,
Lani; The guy who voices the Major did the "We are Nazis" quote from the 1st Abridged episode and he realised it was hilariously terrifying that he nearly started a rally when everyone quoted it word for word (This was in an Australian convention that it happened at too)
the second is that Ripp van winkle is.....yeah she's a lot, most of it is just Tumblr humour
15:25
Integra is her first name.
13:14 Indeed a cool shot, I loved that panel in the manga since I got it back in 2008
With all the stuff going on in Florida, Alucard could use a walk.
Sadly, Alucard is stuck on that boat for the next few episodes. On the other hand, we'll have one of the best openers, the return of Anderson, and everybody else amping up their game! Grab the popcorn, because this is gonna be great!
If you guys are curious about Rip Van Winkle's gun, it uses a magic silver bullet that seeks out a target and rips it apart.
7:40 I get way to much of a kick out of this one "nono, not a crusade... peacekeeping"
9:20 to think she was killing time singing "winter wrap up".
It's also why he brought his coffin in the Blackbird, same as how he brought his and Seras's coffin to Brazil.
He had to.
Fun fact. The singer of that Party song Andrew WK is married to Kat Dennings
Ah now I remember this episode and can understand why it caused you guys some issue. It's pretty touchy but a great episode imo. RUclips needs to get its shit together. Glad you guys were finally able to upload it!
Idk why but I always find RVW’s death to be so brutal. It’s not even that crazy compared to the others in this series, but still it gets me each time.

There were copyright claims on the original episode, they removed the opening from the dandyman and the song when he's in the jet
I know the Major says "I love war" but the way he says it, he sounds like he says "I love vore" and I was like 😰
Food wars? 😅
I heavily encourage you to watch the Major original speech in the anime. it is one of the best 4th wall-breaking speeches ive ever seen in a show only rivaled by one in attack on titan.
Which aot one? The guy on the wall looking at the camera?
@Riastradh yep. he's talking to the audience while standing in the 4th wall delivering a monologue
Even TFS had problems posting this episode (you can notice by the distinct lack of AC/DC's "Shoot to Thrill" in one scene)
Hell yeah. Speaking of hell, there is a new helluva boss episode. (Episode 4)
Weird that this episode had the same intro again. I remember the Dandy Man from last episode reading the legal thing in the beginning.
This episode unfortunately uses a lot of licensed music, so copyright issues are gonna happen. Its understandably frustrating, but ultimately possible to get around with proper editing, which i know is a pain.
Glad yall got the copyright thing taken care of for ep 4. Hopefully the rest of the series
The intro is supposed to be Alejandro the card guy from the last episode
That was supposed to be Dandyman’s opening monologue at the beginning 😄
15:35 - Thats "Sir" Integra Hellsing :D
Just to clear up any confusion, Rip Van Winkle's whole character in this abridged is 2000's internet memes/"lol so random!" humor, mixed with 2010's Tumblr feminism.
Ive been awaiting this with great anticipation.
Alucard just murdered Twitter.....awesome
If it's video problems, it might be easier for editing to flip the video horizontally and fade it out a bit, then you just may to mute audio at points? That's how some other reaction channels get around it at points.
ive also seen just throwing a watermark over it slightly faded out, that tends to work
The thing that comes before Integra's name is "Sir." That's all you're missing there.
So glad you got to see the unedited versions, the version without Shoot to Kill just isn’t the same
Sadly, I kinda expected this episode to run into trouble because of the copyrighted music no matter how much it was edited out.

I feel bad for you guys having to do all this editing. Must have been a royal pain in the ass. Appreciate the work for putting it out
Awesome reaction guys
Sir Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing
“Rainbows! Tacos! Doctor Who! Homestuck!” Alright that was funny
That's weird. It's supposed to be the Dandy Man reading the disclaimer at the beginning, not Jan Valentine again. Odd.
They were not ready LOL
Another pretty hilarious thing to think about is that Rip is a "feminist" in this... but she is also literally a nazi lmao, so theres another layer of irony there
The next episode is awesome lol
so something I highly doubt you two are knowledgeable about because it's something based on a very time specific thing, but Rip Van Winkle's personality is based on 2013 Tumblr with the "so random xd lol" humor and referential humor(specifically The Cake Is A Lie being a reference to Portal and the line "Rainbows, Tacos, Doctor Who, Homestuck" being a reference to the random humor elements of rainbows and tacos and the references to the extremely popular at the time of Doctor Who and Homestuck, like I said very 2013 tumblr joke, as well as the "check your privilege" lines are a reference to the 2013 tumblr cancel culture)
“GOOD!”
Episode 3.5: Maxwell is interrogating another priest, who apparently betrayed the Church for Millennium.
You loved this episode. I got news for you. It only gets better from here on.
You better no miss a damn episode =)
Oh yeah, the AC/DC got muted on the original. Such a shame that happened, because it’s so good
Takahata had a lot of cringe watching the Van Winkle scenes and the jokes on the TFS Halloween marathon of the series.
This got people thinking that there was some mass epidemic of SJWs trying to ruin your media and fun, and it was a mess and it’s just…yeah, I don’t blame the guy for cringing for taking part in that :/
Guessing TFS had to change the start to Yan reading again and not the other guy.

Thanks again for another funny reaction
soon the madness will begins
Rip Van Winkle's entire thing is outdated niche internet references. They were cringy then, but the joke is fulfilled doubly-so because theyre even more outdated now.
Her death is brutal but also strangely... erotic? Its more-so in the show. The blushing, the literal penetration of her rifle through her chest, and how Alucard delights in the drinking of her blood. Always struck me as odd but I can kind of understand the direction. Sinking your teeth into someone's neck is very intimate and they tend to lean into that.
There was an AC/DC song, but they had to remove it.
I love your reactions, but this seems a little oddly edited. I don't know if it was rushed or copied right. Still you guys are great.

Ser Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing
Little metion that was confusing for me, Alucard is kinda stuck on that boat. Something to do with Vampires and water or something
All the way back to the original novel, vampires are unable to pass over running water or large bodies of water without their coffin and soil from home land. It’s why he was stuck there.
Oh and the part before Integra's name is Ser, she's a knight of the round table, so she's usually called Ser Integra.
Sir
@Sunae no, it's Ser actually, Ser is used when addressing somebody who has been knighted
