      Truly a wild strategy. Tho these mod packs are great for someone with ADHD. Constantly something happening and new things to do. So it’s easy to sink a few hours into it without making any “real” progress.

    So a thing with fanatic especially for newer GAMMA players. Dont finish his task. Do the hunting part. Then just ignore anomaly hunting. If you do this you get a free companion early game, can give him any gun off bodies he will use it if its better than his. As well as in new areas he will give tasks and possibly give you stash locations upon completion. (These tasks are normally mutant hunting so its easy money and possible stash)

      The funny thing about artifacts is I absolutely hate dealing with them LOL. I can definitely make a guide but I don’t ever use them in GAMMA. It’s mainly due to how grindy it is to repair the artifacts to 100%.

      Everything A class, which you can repair without a toolkit. MPs and pistols mostly. Grind missions with those, until you get the basic tools in a gold stash. With that you can repair B class stuff and so forth. Depending on difficulty, you can pick an M1911 .45 in character creation and.45 Hydra Shock ammo can carry you to Rostock easily. Hydra is expensive and the 1911 only has 7 rounds per mag, though, so you gotta be accurate. Hydra Shock shreds any monster easily, so if you find an UMP45, you're pretty much set for moster killing the entire playthrough.

    I've grown to hate the "list" guides that just do a one-by-one list on a theoretical basis detached from the game.
    On the other hand you have players that are already a pro, and they explain nothing (not the mechanics, but also not their reasoning why they are doing things the way they do).
    So I love your idea/implementation of a guide-let'splay, where one can play along, see how it is done and also get the practical side of things (including the reasoning).
    Heck, I would even watch it if it were twice or thrice as long. It is very enjoyable.

    I personally advise against starting with a shotgun. Mainly because A they are the easiest to find build, repair, maintain and acquire the parts and gear to do so and B because even in poor condition they are generally more reliable especially the double barrels and even the pump actions. Semi-autos tend to be less reliable but clearing jams fairly easily so if your smart and quick you can clear the jam side step a charging mutant and get him when he comes back around. Playing my cards right I can usually get a usable shotgun together before leaving the cordon maybe with a little venturing into the swamps. So I usually forgo the sunrise suit and start with an SKS and Vityaz PP-19 like you. Believe it or not you can wreck boar with the SKS and the ammo is plentiful and cheap enough.

      They made STALKER 2 with the intention that some people hadn’t played the OG trilogy. I definitely recommend playing them sometime (they’re on sale for $10 bundle atm), but it’s not required to understand STALKER2.

    • @Venoxium
      @Venoxium  4 месяца назад

      Funnily enough I don't use ReShade at all. The reason my game is more contrasty is because I re-installed "Aydin's Grass Tweaks" and chose Spring Grass + Textures. There's also a file I downloaded from Hippo (Atmospherics dev) that makes the game less "depressing" looking. If you join the Discord in the description @ me and I'll post the file in there with how to install it. When it comes to all my settings here is an imgur link: imgur.com/a/ainWOT8

      I completely disagree. While Hippo & Ascii has done an amazing job, there are a lot of deficiencies in the old xray engine. I do think GSC should've attempt to upgrade their UE ver. to 5.3 so that they could've used Nanite Foliage.
