- UK SYNDICATE 40lb CARP - Carp fishing for big carp with Darrell Peck and Oscar Thornton.
An exciting, challenging “Toby Carvery” of a final episode to Thinking Tackle OD 4. Darrell Peck and big carp catcher, Oscar Thornton are searching out ‘𝐔𝐊 𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝟒𝟎𝐥𝐛 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐏’ and it is epic! The lads visit Embryo’s Cables Lake, near Abingdon, as they attempt to try and catch some of its chunky residents, which have been piling on the weight and now top 40lb+.
This film isn’t just for those of you that fish syndicate waters, as the challenges and problems they need to overcome are common on any water. Darrell and Oscar arrive to find that the lake is flooded, it hasn’t been producing much to the normal tactics of fishing and they are left with some head-scratching decisions to make.
Having seen a few show in the middle of the lake upon arrival, Oscar decides he can’t ignore them. Whilst Darrell opts for a very different approach, and having heard some fish moving in a reed bed in a corner of the lake, he opts to just fish one rod, casting tight to this feature.
Can Darrell prove one rod in the right place is sometimes all that you need? Well let's just say in Darrell’s own words it becomes a “Toby Carvery” and both lads start catching some seriously stunning fish… but can they winkle out the 40lb+ prize they are targeting?
If this episode highlights anything, it is the need to adapt to the way that the fish are behaving whilst you are at the water. This final episode of the series also includes some great tactical insights from both anglers, and after watching it, should you find yourself in a similar situation at your local venue, you will be well prepared to make the most of it and catch more carp.

Amazing to see Darrells confidence in front of camera now. He was a right stiff on the first few thinking tackles but he’s gone so far now he’d eat himself if he was made of chocolate. When your a carp catching machine though if you’ve got it flaunt it. Darrell you slag we love you

Guys, check out Oscars Big Carp captures, the rod set up may not be to everyone's taste, but for a young guy he's photo album is awesome.
I know... I've got this fantastically groomed and barked swim platform... lets not use this and put the rods in the water next to it... also if I put them really close together the reels will clash and the rods can fall straight into the lake when I pick the middle one up... nice...

No need to drop the lead eveytime it's not even weedy.. just think how many leads these korda anglers are leaving on a lake bed..
Makes sense with a 3oz lead and choddy, cause they can bump off, but otherwise it's pretty idiotic in open water.
@orv ille From memory the Nash lead clip was the first neat way to drop a lead. But I agree that Korda have pushed it a lot. It does make sense in certain circumstances. Personally, for short range in weed I use Stonze, but they don't cast that well over 60-70 yards. But then if I'm weed fishing I don't want to be at long range anyway.
Why on korda videos do we see footage of the chaps taking the pictures, but never see the bloody pics took. Lol

How dare people comment in the comments section about something in a video they want to comment about. If it's about catching carp and nothing else why make it any harder than it has to be by crashing all your rods together? I appreciate if he wants his rods like that he can, but don't expect people not to question why he wants to make things harder for the sake of being so called "carpy"

Korda= most fake videos ever. Even their products are same quality as the average tackle shops, AND WAY TOO MUCH OVERPRICED!!! Try to get and test something half-price cheaper and you’ll see 😉
Why on earth are Korda wasting time on such an angler? How anybody can be taken seriously as an angler when they fish with rods so close together. It appears Korda are only trying to appeal to young clueless anglers who put being “Carpy” before practicality and common sense. This is bad Korda, can’t you find a sensible angler to give a load of gear to and film fishing?

There can't be many anglers in the country that couldn't learn off Darrell 🤔 and Oscar is defo a great fisherman, he is one for the future 👌🏻 yes he could've set his rods apart for ease but I see loads of ppl doing that now, it's not for me I like to use all the space I can 😂😂
@Neil Hawkins there are plenty of anglers who catch as many, and more, who are sensible and bridge the age gap. For me if someone who isn’t able to see the stupidity of rods so close together. then he has no place to be a roll model for others. Only youngsters who are impressionable and think it “carpy” to follow pointless fashions don’t see the stupidity of it. Catching big fish doesn’t in itself equate to being a good angler. Yes, he has caught some great fish, but he fishes waters with them in. For me there are many things that make a great angler, and doing things that are fashionable but detrimental to your angling isn’t a part of the equation.
